This is what is giving this guy joy? grin
I was even thinking its something serious. Sensational Journalists have played this one oo shocked
You are the one played by lack of current DEFSEC announcement. Its Army Recognition and DefenceWeb published reports on Ghana Army MMBT and AFV officially signed RFI & LOI agreements for supply and also technology transfer that you call sensational journalism? Do you know how defence procurement process flowcharts? You think purchase starts with payment? I no get time waste dey argue, but before I exfil, update yourself below:

Where are the vehicles in Ghana and how many are they?

Nigerians sometimes think like fishes
How small a country is Ghana, how many soldiers has it, so how many AFVs do they need? Ghana acts like genius doing very good army weapons procurement in peace time before war comes, avoiding export embargoes and fire brigade attitude of acquisition.

Do you know who is worse in thinking than fishes in Nigeria?

The person who cannot smartly use Google and also scroll back pages on this thread, to see photos & videos of Ghana's Anniversary public show of Army strength, battalion size of brand new IFVs from China, transferred IFVs and tank destroyers from South Africa, new modern APCs with thermal night FCS weapon systems new from China, new contracts for sophisticated tanks and AFVs from Turkey-Indonesia.

The person who cannot see all that, has a brain smaller than that of fishes. Hehehehe grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by ecomog1990:
Thanks @ Brenda Uji, live and direct from N.E. war frontlines, not only using mouth to talk but using your head to think and saying out the only formula that will win us this war "We need more Armoured Fighting Vehicles".

Now check out this pic, join it with Ghana's Army new plan for 6x6 AFV troop carrier + medium weight fast modern tank.

No wonder Abuja feels no urgency or correct threat perception of grave dangers facing us. See VERY WRONG impression given to Buhari misleading the President that troops are well equipped, tanks full everywhere, BH AND ISWA run away afraid of mighty troops, try use sense, when you visit war zone, instead of visiting FOB trenches in stand-alone desert remote area, big man choose to visit Brigade/Div. HQ where him see plenty arrangee dey arrange equipment full ground to impress visiting VIP, "we have enough vehicles, only helicopters we lack". Truth is, does every FOB have dozen tanks and APCs? Seeing these ancient of days NA vehicles and seeing Ghana's new army vehicles, I wonder why Nigeria is blessed with oil & gas but no genius brains to use our resources well. Buhari should have followed Brenda Uji that night, and see unsafe Hilux & Landcruiser where our brothers pass through on their way to silent grave Cemetery Maiduguri final posting.

GHANA MOVES TO TANKS TO BUILD MOST MODERN ARMY IN ECOWAS WITH NEW OIL & GAS DOLLARS WEALTH

A Letter of Intent was signed in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 22 November 2019 by the Managing Director of PT Pindad Abraham Mose with the Ghana Ministry of Defence represented by Chief Director, Dr Evans A Dzikum. Ghana's Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul also in Jakarta expressed commitment in buying defence products produced by Pindad as well as collaborating on joint development of defence products after he visited PT Pindad’s production facilities and explored the Excava Amphibious amphibious excavator, Komodo 4×4 APC, Anoa 6×6 APC, and Kaplan Modern Medium Weight Tank. Managing Director of PT Pindad Abraham Mose said his company was ready to support the defence needs of Ghana including the supply of equipment, establishing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and after-sales services including training and facilities, as well as technology transfer.

Wowwww! Wow! Wow!

Thanks, Ecomog1990 for coming along. Now, I understand why everyone was mute when I mentioned the rot at DICON and the infantry being poorly equipped.

It appears this thread is meant to launder the image of the Nigerian Army. Nigeria my country!

I'll take a bow at this point.
bros I feel your vibes, real pity to see 2hundred privileged people we pay monthly salaries with our public money we the people all own, same 2hundred people hold 200million of us to ransom laughing like "you all see me piss on your heads but wetin you fit do me?". I ask God why I was born in calabar not germany, wetin be my offence to God? grin

Who are you exactly? I like the boldness and authority with which you speak. grin Anyway, you say we have 400 gunboats, yet the waters of Somalia is safer than the gulf of Guinea. How come? This snafu costs us billions of sorely needed dollars yearly in direct and indirect revenue.

Perhaps we should just establish a coast guard and a navy too. The latter will be given serious armaments like the missile frigates and subs that you mention. But is a missile frigate not an overkill? Check out the Israeli Saar-class corvette, especially the latest versions. That boat has more heavy armament than most cruisers and destroyers that I know of. tongue
bro, we are all equal nigerians, just maybe my past uniform wearing affects my mind atimes. grin somalian sea is fully patrolled 24/7 by european asian american heavy endurance opv cutters, missile destroyers battle cruisers heavy frigates, submarines & aircraft carriers, all world big powers with best navies team up for safe shipping international trade in somalia oceans.

only nigerian navy alone does ninety per cent gulf of guinea patrols, our fellow african nations abandoned us to do it because they don't have much to lose.

nigeria already has 'coast guard' service called nimasa, it's corrupt & incompetent.

half nigeria's oil resource is offshore, better we arm navy with overkill to secure our million stomachs grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by ecomog1990:
GabrielYulaw:
Missile frigates and submarines? Is that wise? At present, the threats we face have to do with piracy and massive oil theft. I don't think we need frigates and submarines to stop these. Fast attack crafts, corvettes and patrol boats like the Shaldag in their hundreds should be more than enough to take care of these threats, make Nigeria safe and boos trade. Considering the billions of dollars we lose yearly through oil theft and piracy, buying naval assets in their scores would be a very worthwhile and urgent investment.
bro, over 400 gunboats & MPV, OPV ships were bought for navy's anti piracy fight, it's enough for the job bro. the problem now is navy becomes coast guard without missile frigates - submarines it is not a navy and cannot defend nigeria against a foreign navy if gulf of guinea oil dispute suddenly restarts. bakassi vs cameroon is lesson of what can happen to nigeria, navy chief does not want nigeria wounded because our navy cannot stop another navy violating our oil rich waters that our economic survival depends on.

I understand ur pains but arguments like these as always troll and derail the thread. Corruption did not just start today an it wouldn't just end in one night.
Please attacking these top brass on these will land me in serious problem...... these as to stop thank you.
I understand you chief.

but so many derails done daily on this thread by posters, yet nobody complains. blasting corruption is not trolling, and is not wrong, government pays whistleblowers for exposing corruption. the btr 4 30mm ammo is true case some people should be court-martialed for as crime.

I spoke hot on ifv because nigerian army top brass not fielding hundreds of real ifv is big problem killing thousands of loyal soldiers in all our wars.

that guy was wrong to single out, insult, silence one person in public forum, you too won't accept your rights being attacked, it's wrong way to treat people.

if corruption is not exposed on media where else, in secret under eko bridge? if you bidexiii care more about discussion thread than 200 million nigerians suffering from this blood wasting war we should have won long ago with correct equipment-good training-will to act-overpowering force on the enemy, then you should ask yourself what values you live for, borno photo shoots?

if you tell me to leave corruption topic to help you avoid army top brass harassing you, as a reasonable person I can easily do that for you, just warn trespassing guys to stop telling others they are off topic & stop posting anytime others say what they don't want, ALL OF US OWN THIS COUNTRY BRO, this freedom to speak is part of democracy many nigerians died for on our streets June 12 riots.

for your benefit bidexiii, yes I can decide to not post what can cause you trouble, because you explained your good reason. cheers bro!

SLBMS:
Nigeria has the richest economy in the modern history of the African continent. We have the world's 9th largest proven oil reserve with 38 billion barrels, valurd at over $3 trillion. Nigeria had the largest foreign reserve until Algeria overtook us 3 years ago.

What this means is that Egypt and South Africa combined do not have the financial muscle of Nigeria. We can build a nuclear program. We can save our foreign reserve and pay for weapons with oil. We have Africa's most valuable national assets.

YET !!

We've been fighting a decade long war with trainer aircraft. Our Navy has no real offensive capability even though %80 of Nigeria's oil production comes from offshore oil platforms. We spent the combined defence budget of Cameroon and Chad combined on 12 Brazilian made turbo prop crop dusters that so not be delivered until 2022. 16 Alpha jets and 5 F-7Ni fighters is what Nigeria has to protect her airspace as well as vital assets of 39 billion barrels in oil. We finally decide to buy 4th generation jets we opt for the JF-17, an unproven weapons system. As if that's not mad enough we are acquiring just THREE with no idea when it will be delivered.

There is something seriously wrong with this country. It's begining to look like a spiritual problem..because it just does not make sense.
naf is growing & needs time, nn is pressing abuja publicly demanding missile frigates & submarines, army is the silent one pretending all is well while we saw chad & cameroon team up their armies vs boko haram long before mjntf, it's warning sign what will happen if nigeria clashes with any of them, our army will be pincer formation encircled by 3 armies till nigeria collapse with na's old & weak weaponry vs our neighbors who think ahead & bought new tank destroyers added to armor piercing infantry missiles. lack of leadership foresight kills a nation, we pay monthly salaries to army officers to do threat assessment for nigeria to plan ahead but eat suya & beer instead grin we all live in danger

Was gonna say the same before, thought i shouldn't, don't wanna get beat up grin grin grin
Nigeria is bad and corrupt, we know, what else is new.
Harping on it over and over within a few hours wouldn't change anything
goal was to expose what killed ifv off army inventory in a big war with wasted platoon of btr 4 ifv imported with no 30mm ammo yet all ordnance was paid for. all nigerians have right to know how their resources vanish.

no law bans repeating anti-corruption 5 times that's why buhari repeats it 500 times in 1 term. doesn't matter if my comment won't stop corrption today, everyday for thief one day for owner, took south korea 20 years to jail army general hwan, forced him to refund money. you don't talk is not reason to silence all nigerians, a comment irritates you personally does not make it a bad comment, you guys just don't respect other people's human rights.

hows my post off topic on a battle DISCUSSION forum?

do you know meaning of troll? it's not defined by date you create account or number of posts that day, english vocab dey hard you, no wonder you say ifv discussion & photo is off topic on war discussion forum grin

you have no no & no right to stop me replying the guy asking for ifv, I replied him why ifv is needed & why no ifv is coming. anybody that dare to post comment should expect anybody can dare to post reply, it's called free public press if education failed to teach you censorship is against Nigerian constitution.

who made you judge of on topic off topic here?

this country is full of deranged people who think they own others, like abuja politians believe they own the lives of Nigerian masses.

stay within your limit bro, you don't own this space, LEARN TO RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF ALL NIGERIANS !!!!!!!

for those in charge of our army its not high time to go modern, till top brass belle full and burst belle wit your cash grin any army that cant present a modern paper plan to c in c for budget approval but keeps bragging of hilux jeep with 50 cal instead of bmp 3 ifv is big danger for national security this modern age when cameroon & chad own red arrow missile, milan launchers, tow launchers.

borno insurgents keep hoping for kornet transfers from migrating isis expelled from iraq & syria, if dem get it, nigeria go smell hot pepper. we worried people we pray their hope delays but we cant continue foolish wishing the enemy does not arm up big time because our own army believes ak 47 vs ak 47 war that always has no winner for 30 years long.

clearly we need more mraps , APCs and even ifvs
ete, nigeria get no ifv apart dozen btr 4 havin no ammo, army barawo generals & mod bosses connive to import dem 2nd hand with no 30mm ammo grin then asked naf for mi 24 ammo gift, naf say no, how can army generals chop army weapons money den shift army duty to naf? interservice hatred began grin

nigerian army generals full know we need 150 china made bmp 3 ifv game changer to flush boko haram to toilet, but keep fooling presidency. nigeria is hijacked by ruthless thieves, na poor zamfara bandit naf bombs, but real big bandit is safe in army hq robbing old soljas pensions, troops allowances, ifv money etc. those rusty btr 4 was bought price of brand new & full load grenades missiles & all paid for, but no single bullet came with btr 4, ammo money to barawo pockets. this borno war will continue until army belle full all bandit generals swearing to prolong this insurgency to fill dem pockets more. if buhari can be fooled like this, no hope for nigeria
