Ask me I will tell u she should go and manage the bakery where Olajumoke was before her fame and not our beloved Nigeria....Sai Baba still This is apt. The ministry I have issues with today are budget, finance, foreign affairs, solid minerals, communication |

Elosky20: bt i am yet to see where buhari has gone wrong. his economic policy to discourage importation has been working as planned, 1. he has given bail out fund to states, because of debt accumulated by administration, 2. he has also paid the petroleum importers, 3. people have been complaining of his travels, bt dat is nt the problem, he is an executive, he has aids, advisors and cabinet, his only duty is to implement their opinions and ideas. even the time he and jonathan has been in the country do u see them travelling frm one state to another to work. 4. He has been running the country for a while nw without even making up to 35% percent of the revenue the previous administration got frm oil. so i wonder where thdd miracle will come frm. We nigerians are the cause of our problem nt buhari. give him time. sorry Zombies are blind |

2017 budget will beat record... ₦1 quadrillion!, all the social sectors will be substantially finance to trillions ₦, poverty will be completely eradicated and by the end of year 2018 Nigeria will be declared a developed state and classify one of the first three country in the index of human . I know you will argue on how this can happen with the economics situation of today, low foreign reserve, low oil price, with depreciation of ₦. yes oil price is down, foreign reserve is dry but we still have foreign looted fund reserve at hand! when recovered and well managed, it won't be problem to have money for this budget! we can only pray that a $ hit ₦1000 and all $1 trillion looted recovered! I know for sure that with the determination of this government and the support of foreign nation to help recovered all $ trillion looted it will happen.....$1 trillion recovered and change to ₦ will give us ₦1 quadrillion needed to financ that budget! year 2017 bye bye to poverty! what are you smoking at your share time? |

IyaIode: So we devalue to like say 300 naira to $1, who is to say the scarcity of dollar won't drive the black market to 500 naira.
Btw devaluing will drive up landing cost of petrol, are you ready to pay more for petrol?
If you increase tariff, importers will increase local price driving up inflation, you know this things don't work in Nigeria. E. g if dangote had not set up a sugar factory, importers will not stop importing. How many dangotes do we have we are in deep poo in both ways but devaluation will be the best option in the long run because the same things you listed will still happen before June if we don't devalue. We can devalue at 250 and tighten our borders to avoid drastic importation then govt needs to look for how to increase our agriculture output because that's where the common man will feel the bite more. Govt has to subsidise petrol to cushion the effects of devaluation |

IyaIode: who exactly does a devalued naira favour? Nigeria or countries waiting to dump products here it will favour us in the long run if we increase tariff to protect our industries here. We need to make imoportaion unfavourable to importers and push for rapid industrialisation |

Seun: It worked marvelously in Argentina, Greece, and Zimbabwe. Why not Nigeria? /s You just listed countries going through the same problems with Nigeria who have been bailed out by IMF except Zimbabwe. These countries are still in recess and there is still no end in sight for them. Nigeria has not gotten it right with its economic MGT team because their inputs is far different from what its obtainable today. Devaluation is the only thing we need now |

Ecoterrorism(f):
Eziokwu, the lies in the budget wants to kill him. That budget is a budget of HBP.
A budget that Lai Mohammed denied "nwanne odiegwu" Minister of Health denied his own ministry because of the HBP he saw there.
buhari went on vacation abi sick leave (anyone sha) after reading the budget
Saraki problem started again after presiding over that budget
Amaechi ran as fast as his legs could carry him by forming busy doing "anya anya" OR "boju boju" on railway project instead of defending that budget
I saw Kayode Fayemi at Oracle Hqtrs designing a 750million naira website prototype to present at his budget defence. Don't talk about what happened to our naira after it saw the budget.
Fellow Nigerians if you see the budget what should you do? #GetwellChrisNgige |

repogirl: you really think so? There are still a few good ones out there.
Anyway if Nollywood producers entered the Nairaland lit. Section, they would find quite a few intriguing stories that deserve to be made into movies (including mine ) but alas these producers prefer a wack a'ss script to quality content.
People will watch whatever recycled crap they keep producing anyway, so why bother paying for quality content? A situation where a movie is shot for 2weeks tells you the quality you will get there. I'm a fan of Kunle though aside his bigotry which makes him stupid but he is a professional to the core with his movies. The scripts in our movies are outdated and it shows research are not done when writing it which makes the story line boring and drab. I will visit the lit section to know if I can get good writers to link them with my friend. |
