@ ov, u're very right my guy. Toasting is the naija version of what d oyinbo man calls "WOOING". It involves going all your way to buy the other person to your side, with u promising everything u can give - and all u can't. Its not only applicable to a boy-girl thing. Politicians do it, system men do it (don't ask me who system men are? o ); lots of 'em do. "Asking Out" on the other hand is simply coming out the way u are and handing out a request, subject to yes or no. so @ ormis66, they both aren't the same, get that ok. To be sincere, all d ladies i've ever dated, never toasted any of 'em. just simply asked 'em out. period. |
Hi everyone, i think what most most ladies do in this case - that is if the man looks responsible and caring - is simply to assist him in furthering the man's education, get him a better job, and so on. It is a more diffucult as in the case of the man, cos of one big reason - WHILE WOMEN ARE MORE EMOTIONAL, MEN ARE MORE RATIONAL. "A coomon house girl, a letdown on my rep" - a man replies. @jkpretty u dey search 4 me too abi ![]() |
@ bebe2007, o bebeeeeee, 3 gbosa for u. u'r the girl o jare. just said it all concering a man. Let me diagress a little. well to me, i believe as a guy, it's not sometn to brag about dat a girl walks up to u and bares her mind about u. I've had lots of cases, to be sincere. I observed one thing in most of these - MOST OF 'EM HAVE HARDLY WALKED UP TO ME THEMSELVES, its either they use their friends - most often, write letters and drop them where u could see 'em, or show u signs that they are trippn. Few have directly told me to my face (one did recently). AT ALL THESE I SINCERELY RESPECTED 'EM. Of course not that i'm fine or something, but 4 taking dat bold step. By nature a lady is passive, so if she does wants d toasting, SHE LETS HER BODY LANGUAGE DO D TALKN. (2 long right?) |
@ bebe2007, i don't know what may have happened btw u both, but i suggest if u still love him - i can tell from the tone of ur message that u still do - why not forgive him and give him another chance. remember we're all humans. as i said its just my humble suggestion. |
To be very candid, i think its immature and connots lack of self-confidence. I for one detest such. really. Well my simple advice is that u tell him u do not like it. If that persist, then QUIT. there's certainly no trust. |
I can't really say myself. But i think one of the reasons - and perhaps the most important - should be MEDIA COVERAGE. More people round - Nigeria inclusive - have access to the premiership more than all other leagues combined. |
In my own view, i think she has done more harm than good. The climax being the sudden death of one of the House of Rep members. She shd simply bow out. |
