Remember when you felt a mild skip in your heart from time to time and you didn't tell anyone because you thought you were dying?...lol No you are not,its just Fibrillation,a normal experience of the human heart. Papillation: its ignorance and effect. Papillation is an irregular rapid beating of the heart. It occurs in humans from time to time and it's not harmful and also poses no threat to human life. Many people are rather ignorant of this and once they experience papillation consequently, they feel they are suffering from a heart disease and alarm their doctors and during examinations, they over exaggerate its effect and end up recieving the wrong diagnoses which will lead to other complications. Please note that when an irregular heartbeat is felt and it causes pain in the heart or causes difficulty in breathing, then its not papillation but fibrillation:also an irregular heart heartbeat which does not pump blood but only stresses the mycardium(the wallnof the heart) and it is life threatening and harmful to the health. This requires immediate attention of the doctor as soon as possible! How do i differentiate between fibrillations and papillation: Papillation is short term and poses no harm,it occurs within less than 3 seconds but fibrillation is long-term, painful and most times the body feels fatigue after it must have hapenned. Hope you are enlightened? https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/06/remember-when-you-felt-skip-in-your.html

1.The pricers: people who just come around to ask for prices without a plan of buying anything. 2.The normal folks: Normal people who just come to buy stuffs they need at the agreed price and leave afterwards without any other arrangement. 3.The Big guys: These are the rich folks who would buy anything at the amount stated. Their main motive is to relax themselves and chill out. 4.The lookers: These set of people come around for the sake of being bored. They come as a group of friends mostly with the aim of looking at the market and making fun of people. 5.The photo people: This is common among young ladies. They take advantage of the beauty of the market to take cute pictures with interesting poses. 6.The hookers: Guys carry the majority in this but ladies too aren't left out. Education is generally defined as an aggregate of all the processes by which a child or young adult develops his/her abilities, attitudes and other forms of behaviour which are of value to the society in which he/she lives. It is the conscious training of the young to a life useful to him/her and to the society to which he belongs. In line with this, Osindeinde (1999) stated that education is an organized and sustained communication designed to bring about learning which involves the acquisition of basic and necessary skills, knowledge and competence by the learner to change his/her attitude positively towards contributing to the national economic development. It is the society that educates the child, and such education starts from early years of life popularly referred to as life-long education. Education provides the child the opportunities to discover self and become useful and self-reliant. The various levels of education, which are applicable to the Nigerian situation, include the pre-primary, primary, secondary, as well as tertiary. To catch up with the rest of the world, Nigeria has joined other developing countries in the quest for economic and technological improvement through education. Whereas this is the case, a trip down the lane of education indicates that education in Nigeria has been declining in purpose. While some believe that the standard of education in Nigeria has fallen, others do not agree, arguing that the standard has not fallen, but the quality has fallen. Generally, when people talk about the ‘standard of education’ in Nigeria, they seem to compare what the products of education could do in yesteryears to what it can do today. For example, it is the belief of people that most things the primary school leavers of yesteryears could do, cannot be effectively done by secondary students of today. For example, products of primary schools of yesteryears could easily write letters, whereas secondary school students of today cannot. The views of scholars on the standard of education vary. This is because there is no well defined instrument to measure it with utmost reliability and validity, and so, it is a relative term. Scholars view standard of education from different perspectives, depending on the angle each of them is looking at it from. According to Ifedili and Ochuba (2009), “educational standards set out the quality of education that is acceptable to her citizens. It provides for purpose, direction and criteria for performance evaluation. The government sets the policies and the policies are implemented by the masses. The extent to which these policies are implemented are judged by the standards”. Teachers without Boarders (2006) reported that the standard of education is how the products of schools can be measured in terms of outcome. That is, a measure of how school leavers contribute to the society in terms of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. This is in terms of skills, knowledge and right attitude acquired by graduates the country produces. When the standard is low, half-baked graduates are produced. These graduates go into the market with less than knowledge and less skills and often with dubious attitudes. Level of Decline of Education in Nigeria The continuing decline in educational standards in Nigeria especially as shown in public examination and the performance of education outputs that are inadequate for employment has engendered public outcry. For instance, FME (2006) stated that an average of 13.8 percent and 20.72 percent of candidates who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the National Examination Council Certificate examination (NECOCE) between 2000 and 2006 had five credits (including Mathematics and English) respectively. Most recently, 98.25% of all those that sat NECO examinations in 2009 could not obtain five subject passes. Nigeria launched the Universal Primary Education (UPE) in 1976, but, the programme failed due to lack of fund. Nigeria has again launched another mass oriented education programme, the Universal Basic Education (UBE). The President, Olusegun Obasanjo, declared during the launching of the programme in Sokoto that the nation “cannot afford to fail this time around.” However, not long after that, the federal government reported that the falling standard of education in Nigeria is caused by “acute shortage of qualified teachers in the primary school level.” It is reported that about 23% of the over 400,000 teachers employed in the nation’s primary schools do not possess the Teachers’ Grade Two Certificate, even when the National Certificate of Education (NCE) is the minimum educational requirement one should posses to teach in the nation’s primary schools (Ogbeifum and Olisa; 2001). In most of the states of the federation, no teacher has been employed since the take off of democratic governance. At least in a state well known to the writer, the later military governments hardly employed teachers. The situation now is that the existing teachers though well aged seemed very close to retirement. For the success of the UBE programme, pertinent questions that may be asked include: has the government trained the required number and quality of teachers needed for full implementation of the programme? What is the level of motivation for the teachers to ensure quality teaching? What is the state of infrastructure for the full implementation of the programme? Answers to these questions do not seem to be in the affirmative. It does seem that like the sister, the universal primary education, the programme seems heading towards failure. Thursday, 4 May 2017 MUST READ: Pedophilia, our nation and her ignorance There it was again by the bottom left Corner of the newspaper. Slowly it has crept in un-noticed and has come to make our environment its breeding ground. Nowadays one can hardly scroll through social media without its reports and yet it doesn't seem like anybody is truly noticing. Our people have turned a blind eye while the problem grew, whereas the adverse effects both now and in the future knows no bounds. To the average Nigerian man, the word Pedophilia may not mean much or give a higher definition view of its true complexity, but when you say child molesters which is the meaning we have tagged it with, he tends to lean with the position of the general public.pedophile as a person who has a sexual interest in children. Now though these definitions paint a good picture of the matter at hand, they do not however tell the whole story. That is why Wikipedia described Pedophilia as a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to pre-adolescent children i.e children 13 years and below. Now that we know this epidemic is slowly ravaging our communities, traumatizing our future ones and silently leaving its marks on our land, it is important to understand fully this unwelcomed visitor who seems to have come here to stay. Pedophilia as a sexual orientation is self discovered and not chosen. It is a disorder of sexual preference, more or less like homosexuality. But Pedophilia is grouped under mental disorders and as such are meant to be subject to the therapeutic care of psychiatrists. Basically what we should know is that pedophiles are not all necessarily child molesters. Though some pedophiles i.e with psychiatric disorders may be guilty of child molestation, not all child molesters are pedophiles. The particular cause of Pedophilia is not yet known with some researchers linking it with brain structure and function. Invariably, there is no evidence that Pedophilia can be cured but therapies have been known to help them refrain from acting on their desires. The increasing rate of the acts perpetuated by the molesters both amongst the pedophiles and others generally should not be under estimated. The effects of the trauma faced by the children also cannot be over emphasized. The more we don't pay attention, this mense continues to grow increasingly in our society. Statistics show that 3 in 10 people know of a victim of child rape and that 67% of Nigerians believe that there is a high prevalence of child rape in Nigeria. Al Jazeera reported in March 21, 2014 that in Kano state 100 child rape cases were recorded in just two months. So we ask ourselves, why is child rape on the increase? Why are molesters unearthing and unravelling their dalk sides lately? What is the role of the guardians and parents? Where should the goverment come in? A pastor harbouring and defiling little children, neighbour rapes next door juvenile, teacher sexually molests student, father rapes daughter. Such headlines have become a normal daily routine and it must be addressed. It is important to note that such cases mostly involve men and these men are usually important people in the child's life. They gain the trust and of the children and ultimately take advantage of them. Now this is a call to parents, wards and guardians to be conscious of the happenings of their surroundings, be vigilant with respect to their little ones, where they go, who they are with and always speak to them about their bodies, what they should allow and not allow and the things they should report. Now it will be unruly to just illuminate on the true nature of Pedophilia and still leave the society passing one-sided judgement and persecution on them. As stated earlier, Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder and as you can imagine, it goes with psychopathologies such as low self esteem, depression, anxiety, personality problems and so on. These people need to be addressed as in many cases they did not choose to be who they are, but the environment and the Nigerian system needs to help them be a better version of themselves. We have spoken on the cause and its effects, it will only suffice to propose recommendations. People living with Pedophilia are very delicate as most times they live isolated with their thoughts and depressions. In our country where therapy is yet to take its full course, we need to start somewhere. As stated earlier, a cure to this condition does not exist yet, but therapies have been known to keep them from acting on their desires. We need to raise the awareness and consciousness of people to this disorder and pass the message across that as a nation we do not stand for discrimination, instead we stand together to rise above our limitations. Trained proffessionals who are well learnered in the field should be applied to different therapeutic and rehabilitative psychiatric centres across the country where they can start community and societal outreach to raise the consciousness of the people and help those who desperately need it. Moreso people should report cases of incidents relating to molestation or sexual abuse of children to the appropriate quarters so as to properly address the matter and so such children can be properly evaluated mentally so as to avoid post traumatic stress disorder. We do not chose how we come into this world, the conditions we meet and the ones we come with, but we have a choice on how to live with those conditions. Let us help each other live well. We are all humans and we deserve a chance at being able to live better. https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/05/must-read-pedophiliaour-nation-and-her.html

The cases of Divorce filings due to cheating, domestic violence, inability of the husband to provide or as a result of sheer boredom of both husband and the wife in most marriages of this time and age has reached an alarming rate. Even couples who seemed like the most perfect pair in the world end up getting married and within two months, hell has broken loose in the marriage and with the help of social media, everyone eventually would know about it. As a religious person, i could say maybe the marriage was attacked by the devil or enemies but even the very religious suffer the same plague in their marriages . My point is, marriages between two people with a reasonable age gap last longer than married people with little or no age gap. Although many school of thoughts disagree with this point but when we take a critical case study of several marriages,we would come to terms with this fact. Many Marriages in the '90s took place between an older man and a reasonably younger lady .I'm placing emphasis on "reasonable" because not all age gaps were rational enough. Take for instance a man of 35 and a lady of 16, that could be counted as child abuse. PS: The maximum marriage gap I'm reckoning with is 10 years and the lady must be over 19. So back to my point, marriages in the 90's lasted longer and can't be compared to this century's marriages because the age gap created a place of respect from both husband and wife and when disagreement happened, the wife calmed down and would humble herself and the husband in his own place did not only see the wife as a companion but as a sister who should be protected and guarded at all times that it was even impossible to raise his hand to beat her or abuse her of any sort. Marriage was a place of learning for both companions but in this century, men married their age mate or worse still their wifes were older by a year or more and in such homes, there is never rest unless the wife was well brought up or she's a very tolerable person. Upon any slight disagreement, both husband and wife would grow hostile at each other because the gap between them does not command respect and neither one of them has a better understanding and experience about life than the other so after tolerating each other to an extent, they both file for divorce. Sadly enough, after the separation, the husbands then goes for a younger lady because he wants someone he's capable of controlling and the wife then goes for an older man because she feels men of her age group are as shallow as her ex. Marriage is not a place for best friends. Best friends can tolerate themselves to a point and then, they could become enemies. Marriage is a school of learning and a place for two different individuals to help, educate and care for themselves. The joy of marriage is reproduction which is a mandate by God but if that's the reason why you are with your spouse, then i doubt if you two would last. I hope my school of thought would start a revolution in this generation. https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/04/why-your-marriage-is-in-jeopardy-is-cos.html |

People can become very obnoxious on social media sometimes thinking they are at liberty to force their opinions and decisions on everyone any time they want. Here are some ways Nigerians misuse social media: 1.Sharing fake news: Attention craving had brought some to the point of sharing fake news just to stay relevant.May God save those in this shoe. 2.Celebrities talking about their relationship: It has become a habit now amongst our celebrities to come out on social media to share their marriage failures and what not. It may look right but it really isn't. 3.Showing off wealth: Social medias are originally made for people around the world to connect with each other but some Nigeria have made it a medium of intimidation, showing off their collections and underrating others who don't have as much. 4.Begging people to like your post: If you post something i find attractive,i click "like" and if i don't, i don't click.Begging for likes it the wrong thing to do because it clearly makes you feel you are loved when actually you are not. 5.Having pictures with inappropriate dressing: You shouldn't post your private photos on public platforms for likes and comments. It's so wrong! https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/04/annoying-ways-nigerians-misuse-social.html |

First of all, congratulations on your admisshave. It's really a thing to celebrate. Among over 23,000 applicants, you are among the selected few to gain admission into the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University. Although gaining an entry may have seemed like the hardest task ever but...hmm...its actually a pile of block laid in the foundation of a proposed Mansion. Not to scare you or anything but OAU is a very tasky, its the bitter truth. I decided to write this just to make sure you stay clear of some mistakes most freshers fall victim of and you have a food start. First things first, attend the orientation program organized by the school. Its very helpful and it kinda helps you to settle in and embrace the school in its entirety. Be active too. Embrace all promos that come your way. Banks and all and who knows you may be a winner or one of the super awesome gadgets that will be up for grab. OAU has a very awesome environment and its really cool to take strolls during the day with friends so you could get used to the areas around school which is why i don't advice you take bike or buses everywhere you would want to go. i know you will be boxed up and all but take time to walk about and if you don't know the way,do well to ask students. Most of which will be happy to help although some may try the popular attitude of pulling your legs a little(Aaro) enjoy it while it lasts and don't let it get to you cos at a period in time it Will fade. Don't overwork yourself the first two weeks of resumptions. Make sure you enjoy the time. Many of your mates will be seen reading profusely without even classes starting sef. Although note that upon all this relaxation,do not lose the focus of why you are in schools. Not all shows are compulsory and not all fresher's orientation programs by various bodies are necessary. Make as many good friends as you can and join a good fellowship they truly preaches God's words. Attend your departmental tutorials, they are very useful. Once lectures start, read like your life depends on it( cos it does on the long run) and pray like its the only chance you have adedejiklaus..com

My mum my superhero(series one) It was around 2:00pm on Sunday that day,27th of January 2002. Mum and i went to pay Big mummy a visit in Maryland. Big mummy had served us her wonderful rice and i had already started eating when suddenly we heard a loud Bang! Some windows around the house immediately broke and NEPA took the light, then we heard another Bang! Noise filled the air so we decided to check what was happening outside and behold hundreds of people were just running about. Out of fear we decided to enquire what was happening and of everyone we asked,no one knew what they were running from or where they were running to. Everyone just followed where the crowd faced. Immediately, someone rushed into the house and shouted ''bomb!". The whole house was immediately scattered and everyone went to where they thought was safe. Mum immediately picked her bag and grabbed me when the loud bangs continued and now it sounded more intense. She decided we should go to my uncle's place at ojota since it was a distance away from where the noise was supposedly emanating from. She called upon a bike man who took us as close as he could to ojota. As a child, fear had filled me up as i began to cry. When we dropped from the bike, mum put me on her back and carried me as we went to my uncle's apartment. On getting there,we met no one, even their neighbours had fled to safety. Mum tried calling his phone but it was off. At this point,i could feel mum shaking as she became restless. The running...continue reading>>https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/03/my-mum-my-superheroseries-one_24.html

Living a healthy and living a good life are sometimes are been confused for one another but there's a thin line. we do some things we think are good but are not so to the body 1. Not sleeping well We have all heard how important it is to get a good night’s rest. sleep deprivation is linked to many diseases like kidney disease. During the night your body repairs damaged tissue, so give your body the time to heal and repair itself. 2. Not taking enough water Your kidney’s most important function is to filter blood and eliminate toxins and waste materials. When you don’t drink enough plain water during the day toxins and waste material start to accumulate and can cause severe damage to your body. 3. Too much salt in your diet Your body needs sodium or salt to work properly. Most people however consume too much salt which may raise blood pressure and put a lot of stress on the kidneys. As a good rule, no more than 5 grams of salt should be eaten on a daily basis. 4. Frequently delaying the call of nature Many of us ignore the urge to go because they are too busy or want to avoid public bathrooms. Retaining urine on a regular basis increases urine pressure and can lead to kidney failure, kidney stones, and incontinence. So listen to your body when nature calls. 5. Frequent use of pain killers Too many people take painkillers for their small aches and pains, while there are many all-natural, safe remedies avail...continue reading https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/03/10-habits-that-unconsciously-harm-you.html |
There are times when you might wake up with a stomach ache. This may be caused by improper digestion and could be unpleasant and start your day off in a negative way. Stomach ache symptoms may include a burning sensation in your lower chest or upper abdomen, bloating, burping, satiety, and nausea. If you wake up with a stomach ache, there are some simple steps you can follow to help alleviate your pain and get on with your day. Drink water One reason that you might wake up with a stomach ache is that you are thirsty. Dehydration can cause a stomach ache and since you have just gone all night without water, you may be slightly dehydrated. Pour yourself a glass of water and drink it slowly. You don't want to drink it too fast and shock your empty stomach. You can also add lemon to it as well. It can help calm any stomach irritation caused by the dehydration. You can also try to drink juice or a sports drink to help replenish any nutrients or electrolytes that you might be missing. Make ginger tea. If you wake up with pains in your stomach, you may need something to calm your stomach down. Ginger, whether it is in tea, raw, or in ginger ale, can help calm your stomach and make it feel better. It promotes the release of enzymes that help neutralize stomach acid and contains phenols that relax the stomach muscles and irritated tissues. I have a thing for her,i always have!.Whenever i tried telling her,my fear of destroying our friendship retreated me. We've known each other since way back, attended the same primary school, senior secondary school, same university. She is my dearest friend and i am her best friend. She speaks to me about her deepest worries and we know all about each other. Back in university, i knew all her boyfriends and her wooers. Then, it wasn't so much of a deal to me as i wasn't interested in any relationships what so ever. I was contented with being good friends with her but since our finals, emotions started coming in. Well,it was only normal for such to happen. She occasionally said the words, "i love you" to me on phone when we chatted but maybe that was after she had suffered a heartbreak and i had dished out my advises to her. Besides what she always said next was," you are the brother i never had" bringing it back to my consciousness that there was a boundary t...continue reading https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/03/friend-zone-guy-narrates-his-experience.html

There are numerous benefits of drinking water, from keeping healthy and hydrated to clearing up acne. You may already be getting some of these benefits without even knowing it. Water contains many valuable minerals and nutrients that your body needs to function properly. Drinking water before bedtime is one of the best ways to help your body store those nutrients and minerals you need to stay healthy and strong. Hydrating Benefits Having a glass of water before you go to bed helps your body replenish the fluids it loses throughout the day from normal activity. Since your body is mostly water, you need to keep it hydrated in order for it to work properly. Because you are not working as hard while you sleep, your body doesn't need to excrete as many fluids. When you provide it with water before you to go bed, it simply refills its necessary levels. Calorie-Burning Benefits Water is a natural calorie-burner. You may have heard that sipping ice water is a good way to burn calories and help you lose weight. Although this isn't necessarily true for everyone, it has a large amount of truth behind it. When you drink cold water, your body needs to work double time to warm up, increasing the rate your metabolism burns up calories. If you drink water before you go to bed, your body will begin to work extra hard to warm up, increasing your metabolism. Because you aren't taking in any extra calories, it will start to burn up the excess calories you already have...continue reading https://adedejiklaus..com.ng/2017/03/taking-water-before-bed-time-good-or-bad.html
