Foreign Affairs › Re: Iran Is Considering Asserting Control Over Seven Major Undersea Internet Cables by EDGEof2MORO: 4:22pm On Jun 28 |
yemre: You should ask Iran that question because in my own opinion, Iran lacks the rights to block it. And even attempting to block it is an affront to the entire world or to test their patience.
Remember that the strait is only a path through which the vessels transport the world oils and other items. The strait was not created by Iran, it only passes through their bother. Imagine that all the countries along the route also choose to be that unreasonable, what would it look like.
So, you have no basis supporting Iran. Even your country here is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean where vessels pass to other countries, why does your country not go there to block it just because of one thing or the other. I am sure you do not know the difference between national territorial waters and international waters. I strongly doubt you do with what you have written so far. You have so much to learn and I hope one day it will make sense to you. 2026 is already half gone, better educate yourself. Tick tock 🕕 |

yemre: Iran is seeking revenge against America for intervening in their injustice to the citizens. So, Iran wants the whole world to suffer the consequences so that they would see America as the cause.. meanwhile, that was a very wrong way to transfer aggression. America has come to fight you, you are at liberty to respond directly, not making the entire world to suffer for what we know nothing about. One day you will know the real reason. One day |

Chimeluv: The teacher should have sent the child home . Unless this teacher was the school designated barber, the teacher should have ignored the child and continued to teach. How does one child's hair affect your day or line of work as a teacher? Nigerians are notorious for channeling their energy at the wrong things. This same teacher could molest a teenager that wears nice clothes to school because they fell attracted to said child. They have already demonstrated a lack of professionalism and self-control. |

WhiteIverson: Some teachers too do. Were you hired to teach or to barb hair?
There are Nigerians still stuck with the archaic mentality that keeping of hair signals irresponsibility and waywardness
Last time I checked the criminals who have been looting, oppressing, and running the country down since independence, don't keep hair. Neither do the corrupt civil servants, policemen, or armed forces. The teacher dey do barbing as side hustle |

MemoriesAndMe: Just because this one wants social media attention, she decided to concoct lies and spread it on social media. Didnt she think of the consequences of her actions?
The schools' reputation will be impacted, police will waste resources to investigate and act on her lies, parents with wards in the schools she mentioned will be scared of their wards' safety, the community too will be worried. Just because one social media liar started a fake story.
Serves her well. She will find followers in jail she can lie to.
Lets be responsible with social media. If its not true, dont talk about it. Very true. When Samuel Ekpa was arrested, shebi he started saying he was a content creator... you don hear am say pim since that time? Some people are willing to do anything for internet clout |

Bluna: What VDM said there is true to an extent.
I remember when I was growing up in the 80s, there were only 2 mosques in the entire city I lived. The old central mosque was just a small building that couldn't accommodate more than 100 people. Later they built the new central mosque which was just a little bigger than the old. Only few people worshipped there because Muslim population was very very low.
Fast forward to today, mosques are now scattered everywhere in my city; there are at least 2 mosques in each street. In fact, they are now competing with churches in their numbers. That's not my worry though (I'm not against the spread of Islam), my worry is that those mosques are mostly occupied and used by the northerners, not the indigenous people. Is anyone stopping your indigenous people from using the mosques? As far as I know, religious places are available to the public. Your indigenous people are welcome to use the mosques, and schools, and filing stations as they want. No one should be stopping them. |

yemre: Never knew we had so many terrorists on this platform. Iran is contemplating tampering with the Internet cable belonging to other continents and some terrorists are saying it's a welcome development.
But if the effect comes back to hunt your own country and things escalate, you would blame your president, forgetting that your country rely on the west for a number of things. So, when they're in crisis, the spiral effects hit your country too.
In the first place, Iran has no business blocking the strait of houmouz because it didn't create it. But blocking it now has affected oil prices all over the world but you're here blaming your president that fuel is now 1,350.
Just continue cheering them on. We are all in it together.
A terrorist will always be a terrorist. Quick question, why did Iran block it? |

watchindelta: This is no longer something to ignore. Innocent Nigerians are being killed, and the government must take full responsibility for protecting its citizens. This is not the time for excuses or weak responses. Terrorism must be confronted with serious, coordinated, and decisive action. The safety of the people should come before politics, power, or personal interests. Other countries have faced violent threats and responded with firm and determined strategies to restore order. Nigeria must show that same level of commitment through strong enforcement, accountability, and real results. The lives of citizens matter. The government must act like it.
There was a time when Italy struggled with mafia violence, but strong and decisive government action helped to reduce its power significant by hurting them, torture them. Infact they see hell for italia government hand not by negotiating. Do you think the Italian mafia is not running Italy? |
