PoliticsArmy Unveils Anti-Bomb 'Stop And Search' Robot. by edogram1(op): 9:56pm On Jul 26, 2012
The first time i heard of it and the way the military police are exaggarating that they have found an automatic robot to stop all vehicles for search. At then I thought it was a robot machine searching for explosive, to end this insecurity menace, stoping boko haram from detonating on churches or any other attacks. But i was surprise to see a single handed iron with 6 legs. Although with no doubt, on looking at that iron i believe it will do some prevention.

The Nigerian Army has unveiled the new anti-bombing device, which it locally manufactured as part of its efforts at tackling the internal security challenges confronting the nation, especially terrorist attacks by the Boko Haram Islamic Sect.

This new device was Thursday presented to the members of the public and distributed through the representatives of Christian and Muslim faiths at Army Headquarters, Abuja by the Chief of Civil-Military Relations, Maj-Gen. Bitrus Kwaji.

Kwaji said that the successful innovation of the anti-bombing device called ‘Vehicle Stopper’ is a by-product of the vision of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, who charged all corps and services of the Nigerian Army to provide ways and means of curtailing the security menace in the country.

He reminded that this latest feat is coming barely weeks after the commissioning of an indigenous Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) by President Goodluck Jonathan during the 2012 Army Day Celebration in Kaduna State.

He said: "The unfolding security challenges confronting the nation amongst which is the Boko Haram terrorist menace have continued to hinder the progress of the transformation agenda of Mr President as well as the development of the nation at large.

"The terrorists over the years have continued to attack places of worship (churches and mosques) in order to destabilise the nation. This has necessitated the COAS to charge all corps and services of the Nigerian Army to provide ways and means of curtailing this menace.

"This has yielded a lot of responses as we witnessed the commissioning of an indigenous APC by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces during the recently concluded Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) in Kaduna State," he noted.

Kwaji further stated: "In both large and small measures, personnel of the Nigerian Army have taken the COAS charge to heart looking at various ways and means of curtailing insecurity.

"Today we are gathered here to introduce to you a Vehicle Stopper. A device so unique that it can stop any vehicle that comes in contact with it from any direction or angle. Though, this invention is simple the effect is great," he announced.

The Chief of Civil-Military Relations noted that this invention has become necessary since the terrorists mainly used vehicles loaded with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

"It has been discovered that most attacks by suicide bombers are being carried out with vehicles loaded with IEDs. The mode of operation is simple as a suicide bomber drives straight into his target and explosion occurs," he explained.

He emphasised that as part of the Nigerian Army's Corporate Social responsibility, some of the equipment are being distributed to some churches and mosques who could in turn decide to make more, since the technology is very simple to understand.

The Head of the Engineering Team that produced the latest device and as well Director of Policy, Nigerian Army, Maj-Gen Richard Chioba explained that the equipment will help reduce car bombings.

Chioba, who also led the Engineering Team that manufactured the first indigenous APC, assured that the innovation will help forestall and immobilise vehicles used for suicide bombings, especially at worship centres.

He said: "In order to disallow bombers from reaching their targets, this invention comes in handy as it forcefully stops any vehicle that comes in contact with it at whatever speed."

Meanwhile the religious leaders including the Deputy Secretary, National Mosque, Mallam Ibrahim Jega and representative of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Canon John Paul collected the new device on behalf of Muslims and Christians respectively.

They both commended the efforts of the Nigerian Army towards taming the state of insecurity in the country.

Why is my comment deleted mod? Can i reclaim that? @ topic before u guys eat me, i didn't mean cs baby are not celebrated, but i personaly will not celebrate if my woman go for cs unprescribly just for fear of pain, and if she go further with it after i tried to stop her. I will never and cannot subscribe to artificial delivery for no good reason. I am an african and xtain, forget what the westerner think. Natural delivery is the best
FamilyRe: Pls Share Ur Experience With A C Section by edogram1(m): 2:11pm On Jul 20, 2012
When will some nigerian women learn how to talk? Who is ignorant here? Thats how they bring out their dirty charater outside on the internet for the whole world to see. A C should only be recommened when a normal birth is imposible, and that should be recommended by ur doctor only not some sily 'i to know person on nairaland'. U did it doesn't mean other people should go for it unprecribly. According to the poster she is ok, hearthy, but she is only scaled of pain pointing to what she went through last time. And Its sily to be suggesting A C just becos of pain considering the high risk she will be open to in A C what if the doctor destroy her, if u don't know countless of women has be destroyed by that, it work for u doest mean it will be good for another person, i knw her hubby will not support that unsprecribly with some sily advice from NL.
@poster do not take any useless advise to do any operation. Since u are sound and ok, considering the fact u ve done it before. Once birth means the road has opened. the second birth should be very easier like celebrating chrimas, don't be scaled everything will be fine trust me, u will come here for testimony. U are an african women and africa blood flows in u. Like as i said before Its only a waken woman should be afraid when she is sound and healthy. People dont celebrate A C baby. But once its delivered normaly, directly its a jump for Hallaluya and given glory to God. pepper soap and pounded yam for u.
FamilyRe: Do I Have Hope To Get Married Again. Pls Help!!! by edogram1(m): 1:19pm On Jul 20, 2012
Ur id says baby General, haha any way. Getting a man to marry you is not by force, it will all come when u least expected it, although its by luck.
FamilyRe: Pls Share Ur Experience With A C Section by edogram1(m):
I would advice normal delivery to anybody, thats are God made it to be, by the way u are not the only person that will pass through all that pain the baby also suffer pain and cry out loud as a sign of entering the evil world, that will make him strong and healthy, both of u go all through that pain and normal experience. So also u can bost with ur delivery anywhere in midst of women, it's an advanture all women have to go through so also do men portion to take care of the family, its a shame for an advance woman talking of A C, or u are not woman enough, and ur hubby will not be happy with u, what's the big deal? When little kids of nowadays are given birth anyhow succesfully daily in everywhere, then an old mama go come still they fear? . Its believed baby's which doen't pass through the normal delivery process are not adventurious, they are not strong. That why baby are been throwed up after taken their bath it build their mind. I wouldn't try that with my wife, i can promise to buy her car for normal delivery than A c as u dicribed it.
