While university lecturers are lamenting that both Polytechnic and college of education lecturers earn more than them. ![]() |
Magnificenttop:...but we have other countries like Rwanda that is doing well. |
Lovely. Country with better doings. There's nothing as good as a country with a laid down goals channelled towards rural and national development. I wonder when Naija will start thinking towards this direction. It's not as if we don't have those goal but implementation. Everybody wants to cut their own share. It's wellooo. I can imagine the amount revenue can be generated from tourism through this project. |
Let me get my pop corn ready. Both clowns are just pawn used by this administration to cause distractions among the opposition. Imagine the look on Reno when he was asked why the sudden change in favour of this administration after years abuse on the president using derogatory words. Trust freeze |
madridguy:Outside what you posted, of which I totally agree with you, the young man may have some underlying health challenges beyond his knowledge. He may have possibly died from heart attack stimulated by those drinks you mentioned. |
I equally join you in thanking God because if you were giving the opportunity to serve in this government, the mayhem you unleashed on the people both as FCT Minister as well as the governor of your state would've been a childplay compared to what you would've done as a Minister under this administration. You are so mean and brutal. |
Tinubu should find one appointment for this guy to get him busy. Joblessness na big disease. |
No be only ADA. What of Amaka? Abeg ADC sounds better |
nairalanda1:Thank you so much for the clarification. Just knew about this today. |
Abeg make una no vex. Dem say person wey dey ask questions, no suppose miss road. Please can someone enlighten me on the function of the share button on nairaland. It is not like the retweet or repost button on other social media like Facebook, X etc that allow individuals to share other people's post. So, if that's not the case, what then is the function. Thank you! |
Were you not part of the Elrufai's government? |
naijapikin2:Now I see. There's nothing as good as peace of mind. I'm happy for you. |
The major challenge I'm having is more of finance. We keep planning and replanning. Marriage has turned me into Minister of finance and budget planning. Eight years of marriage with four kids. To God be the glory. Marriage is not easy at all. Just marry someone you can easily relate with as a friend. There comes a time when beauty, sex etc becomes secondary especially once the kids start arriving. What drives the marriage then is your friendship with your wife. As a man, learn to hustleooo. Even if you have a good job, try to see if you can attract other passive income. The world no send you especially if you are coming from a challenging background. Even if you have an understanding wife, there are certain situations that will push you to the wall. I remember when my first child was growing teeth. He was stooling and vomiting. We almost lost him. Understanding no reach this one except you want your child to die. Thank God for the little savings. Secondary, learn to manage your anger. Woman sabi do cho cho cho. Just learn to ignore them or sometimes you can use joke to reply them. It helps to calm the situation down. Visiting the bar just to escape 'home battle' is never the solution. It only helps you to clear your head. The problem still awaits you once you return At your convenience, learn to assist your wife in some home activities especially if you don't have a nanny. I'm not saying you should turn to boy boy. Just learn to assist. Imagine a scenario where same person will wake up to bath, dress, cook and feed the children. The same person will still take them to school. By the time they return from school na still the same thing. Haba! You're not married to a slave. Usually whenever my wife is preparing the children's meal for school, I do assist in bathing the children thereby reducing the burden. Thirdly, couples should learn to give themselves a treat once in a while. Memories from such outing keeps the marriage going. For the women, please know the type of friend you keep. People have the tendency to hide their marital problems while they aim at destroying other people's home. Know the type of problem you share with your friends including some family relatives. Na the rat wey dey inside house they tell the one wey dey inside Bush say food dey for house. Learn to respect your husband especially before the kids, family members and friends. When you have a man who is willing to assist, please appreciate him. Don't denigrate his efforts. Thirdly, please endeavour to get something doing even if it's just small. You never can tell what will happen in the future. A friend of mine lost his job. Unfortunately, the wife had nothing doing. Thank God for the understanding. The wife started selling food items like peppers, fufu and other perishable items. Initially it was not easy as there was no table or shop. They started by displaying those things on the ground. The husband, initially, was ashame considering he was doing well before turned bad. But he had to ignore the shame, joined hands with the wife to manage the small business. With the help from friends, they were able to secure shops. Within a period of six months after he lost his job, the husband was recalled back. There're so many things to write but let me stop here. |
highchief1:Please learn to respect other people's stance. He's the one married to the so called wife and if he's happy with her then that should be his business, not yours. |
naijapikin2:The payment was for what? A settlement, child support or what? Please kindly explain this part. Thank you |
Putindbutt:They should have used this money to acquire drones. Modern warfare requires strategies and tactics. We need to learn from the Ukraine vs Russia and Iran vs Israeli fight. I'm not saying helicopters are not important. But you and I know this herdsmen usually work in the night and to fight them, we need stealth devices like drone that can track their movements using night vision enabling equipment to destroy them. The noise from helicopter can easily alert this muderfu.ckers. |
Creamypie:Iran aircrafts are archaic. The only reason Iran is still in this war is due to their massive missiles in their storage. According to BBC, While the Air Force might not be a formidable force, Iran's missile programme is more potent as we have seen over the past two nights in Israel - and over the past few years. so far we've seen little, if any, action from Tehran's Air Force. It comprises F4 Phantoms and a few F-14 Tomcats - Cold War era jets that have long been put out of active service by the US, plus Soviet-built Su-24, Su-22 and Mig-29 aircraft - the latter still in extensive use by Ukraine. Arms import bans have severely hampered Iran's ability to modernise its military. |
Botragelad:1. Tehran is densely populated. 2. Iran doesn't have specially made shelter in preparation for events such as this. As a measure, they have asked people to shelter under mosque as a makeshift protection. 3. Iran doesn't have an alarm like Israel to alert the people about incoming missiles. Because of this, Iranian donot trust their government to protect them rather many of them are moving towards remote or other provinces outside Tehran for their safety. |
Achor1111:Nobody? Pope, Peter Obi, Atiku, VDM and other respected personalities have condemned the killings with the exception of this government. |
Breaking news: IRGC intelligence chief, two Iranian generals killed in Israeli attacks. Iran’s Tasnim news agency is reporting that the head of IRGC’s intelligence organisation and two other generals were killed in Israeli attacks on Sunday. - Aljazeera
|
This is very risky. Even though the Israeli government has made it clear that this war is not aimed at Iranian people but the government. But just imagine if missiles were aimed or mistakenly lands on those gridlock? Mehn, that'll be bloo.dy. |
People are being slaughtered in Benue and IG is concerned about defamatory statement capable of causing breach of peace. He should channel that energy in restoring peace in Benue State. |
To think this same man gets angry easily for not being addressed as Dr. Like someone pointed out earlier, he didn't do his job well as a media spokesman of former president. |
smtx:We're all saying the same thing. Using deception to manipulate the masses and it will continue if we continue to allow it. |
nairalanda1:There was an attempt in the past to remove fuel subsidy and it was criticised by the same crop of leaders incharge of power. Is that not hypocrisy? |
nairalanda1:Go through my post. I never said or insinuated that in my post. |
The hypocrisy in this country is very shocking and embarrassing. President Jonathan did everything to remove subsidy. He even organised a town hall meeting in Lagos to educate the public on the importance of removing subsidy. Unfortunately, the same people who protested against his government and labeled him all sorts of derogatory names are in power doing worst thing. The Prof. Soyinka, Pastor Adebayo and many others (Gov. Amechi, Oshiomhole etc) criticised his government vehemently have refused to talk. Anyway, I don't blame them. I blame the masses, who have refused to read in between the line. I blame the masses, who have allowed themselves to be used. I blame the masses who have religion, ethnicity, nepotism to take centre stage. Unfortunately, it will continue. The same person apologising never saw anything during President Buhari's regime. The same person never for once condemned his father for his high handedness. It is well. We only criticised when it doesn't affect us. Like one author said, "opportunity maketh a thief. The man who has nothing to steal calls himself a honest man". |
Israel na small shit wey dey spoil bumbum. As they have succeeded in destroying their cronies (Hamas, Hezebolla and Iran), it's time to go for snake head. Same way Russia wouldn't want Ukraine to have nuclear weapons or join any association that threatens the peace in Russia, so is Israel. Let's not forget that Iran, at one point, threatened to wipe Israel from the surface of the earth. I don't think Israel will allow Iran to be in possession of nuclear weapon. |
Every responsible dad deserves the best. I'll do more if I've the means but I don't need have all the wealth in the world before i can celebrate my own dad. |
He did a wonderful job. If I've the means, i wouldn't go for this kind of house. It looks old fashioned like the old houses built by the rich in the oldies. |
It's a gamble. What's the guarantee that you won't disappoint her after four years with you. |
