Buhari, who said the duration of his stay in London is uncertain as it would be determined by his doctors handed over to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo before leaving. Osinbajo will act in the capacity of the president while he is away. Buhari has already expressed confidence in Osinbajo’s capability to run the government smoothly in his absence.

2. He received a delegation led by Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state Governor Shettima led a high powered delegation on a ‘thank you’ visit after the release of 82 abducted Chibok girls. They were received by Osinbajo on behalf of Buhari. News of the girls’ release surfaced at the weekend.



3. He received the ambassador of the State of Israel and others Osinbajo received Guy Feldman, ambassador of the State of Israel, and Nadav D. Goren, deputy chief of mission, Embassy of Israel in his office at the State House Abuja on Monday, May 8.



4. He congratulated French president-elect, Emmanuel Macron On Monday, Osinbajo congratulated Macron on his victory at the weekend’s presidential election. He said the Buhari-led administration was looking forward to working closely with Macron to promote international cooperation, advance peace and security, consolidate mutual trade relations and strengthen economic partnership for the benefit of citizens of both countries.



5. He chaired the inter-ministerial committee on the Niger Delta On Tuesday, Osinbajo continued work as he chaired a meeting of inter-ministerial committee on the Niger Delta. In attendance were Ministry of Education, state government representatives and others.

The Management of Akwa Ibom State University says the institution has expelled 21 students for various offences committed in 2016.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Eno Ibanga stated this while speaking with newsmen in Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enim Local Government Area of the state on Saturday.

He said the students were expelled for various offences ranging phone theft, and grievous harm among others.

Ibanga noted that due process was followed before the students were expelled.

He explained that the Students’ Disciplinary Committee was set up by the university to ensure that students who had committed various offences were dealt with.

“If you have issue and your case is sent to student disciplinary committee and we have students’ information handbook that tells you the dos and don’ts in the university.

“We don’t want to encourage truancy, and misbehaviour, when you commit an offence, we send you there and then if you are found culpable, you will be expelled from the institution.

“This is democracy, we don’t just wake up and expel somebody, you must follow due process before anybody is expelled,’’ Ibanga said.

The vice chancellor said that the institution had zero tolerance for cultism.

According to him, the campus is not comfortable for cultists to operate.

1. Douches
Some women like to use douches to clean the vagina, but in actuality, this is totally unnecessary. It can also be dangerous because, according to Dr. Alyssa Dweck, M.D., a gynecologist and Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, it can cause “a horrible imbalance of the typical bacteria that is supposed to be in the vagina and actually cause an infection.” Douching is a known culprit when it comes to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and bacterial vaginosis. If you’re worried about keeping your vagina clean, the best thing you can do is wash your vulva with soap and water when you take a shower, being careful not to put any soap inside your vagina. See a doctor if you think something smells off. Ultimately, your vagina is self-cleaning, so it doesn’t need your help to make it cleaner.

2. Steam
Yes, steaming your vagina at the spa is totally a trend these days, and yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. “They sit on a specific type of spa with no underwear, on special chairs that have herbal infused steam coming out of them, and they steam their bottom,” shares Dweck. “And while any sort of warm treatment could feel good and enhance blood supply to the area, we’ve seen some burns come out of this and irritation from the types of herbs, so I would use significant caution of that. I’m not sure how effective this is to do anything anyway.”

3. Tea tree oil
“If you’re using household oil as a lubricant, you need high-grade quality oil, not what you use in your kitchen to fry food,” says Dr. Raquel Dardik, M.D., a gynecologist and Associate Professor of Gynecology at NYU Langone Medical Center. “And you want to use oil that is pH neutral, so for example, almond oil, coconut oil, olive oil, probably okay.” What you don’t want to use is tea tree oil, which can cause scary chemical burns: “it’s incredibly caustic and will cause a vaginal burn, so probably not okay.”

4. Chocolate syrup
“All that stuff has sugar which will change the bacteria and yeast proportions which can cause infections. Those substances can also be irritating to the vaginal skin, so it might seem like a good idea at the time, but you may have either vaginal irritation or a vaginal infection afterwards,” says Dardik.

5. Whipped cream
“I would not recommend putting it inside the vagina,” says Dweck. “It’s really tough to get this stuff out, especially if it’s causing a reaction. Fair enough for sexual play if you want to put this stuff on the vulva or other portions of the body and get an erotic experience—that’s fine. But I wouldn’t advise putting it inside.”

The Federal Road Safety Commission has confirmed the death of two persons in an accident in Abuja on Saturday.

Mr Sunday Oghenekaro, the FRSC Sector Commander in FCT, said that the incident occurred on the Gwarimpa bypass at 7 a.m., involving two Toyota Camry cars.

According to him, three persons, comprising of two males and a female, were victims of the accident.

He said that a male and the only female died on the spot, while the other male was critically injured.

“The cause of the accident was speed because if you look at the impact, one of the vehicles almost torn to shreds.

“Our rescue team arrived at the scene about 10 minutes after the accident and was able to evacuate the bodies to Kubwa General Hospital.

“The injured victim was, however, taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi District,’’ he said.

An eyewitness had earlier said that one of the dead was a police officer with the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, but the FRSC sector commander could not immediately confirm that.

Oghenekaro listed the items recovered at the scene to include one AK-47 rifle, mobile phones and an undisclosed amount of cash.

23-year-old Seun Isaiah McMillan was stabbed to death in Southgate, London on Tuesday night, May 2.
Homicide detectives believe he was attacked four miles away in a playing field at Masefield Crescent, close to his family home.


Witnesses said they alerted police after an argument broke out "over money" between a group of young men gathered in the park.

A post-mortem examination on 4 May gave his cause of death as a single stab wound to the chest.

On Tuesday, 2 May, police were called to Barnet Hospital at about 19:30hrs to reports that a man - later identified as Seun - had self-presented at the hospital, suffering stab injuries. Seun was later pronounced dead at around 20:20hrs that evening.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Watling, who is leading the investigation for the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said:
"We now believe Seun was stabbed in Cowper Gardens in Southgate and at that time there would have been a number of people there that had attended in cars.
"We are keen to speak to everyone who was there, and would appeal for them to contact us. We would also appeal to anyone who saw what cars were in Cowper Gardens at the time of the incident to also contact us.
"We continue to appeal for any witnesses to the attack, or anyone with any information about it, to contact us.

Meanwhile, two men - aged 27 and 25 were arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 May, in connection with the murder. Both have been released under investigation.
Friends and relatives believe Shea, as he is fondly called, lit candles at a tearful vigil at the senes on Wednesday night as police officers searched drains and checked beneath vehicles in a hunt for the murder weapon.

A cousin, who spoke under anonymity told Evening Standard that he was just so bubbly, he is just a normal guy and he didn't deserve what happened.
"The last time I saw him at the park we were playing football, he loved it and played centre back. I have no idea what happened to him. His mum is just trying to cope. Everybody knows him around here they all liked him. He was a popular guy."


In a note, Seun's grandparents said :
"Such a wonderful and caring young man taken away from all of us family and friends. You will always be in our hearts forever, rest in peace."

A 53-year-old Nigerian man who worked at a group home in Raleigh, North Carolina was arrested last month after he allegedly raped a 47-year-old woman who lives there.

Police accused Nnamdi Godson Nwankwo of Rolesville of second-degree forcible rape and sexual activity by a substitute parent. Both charges are felonies. Records show that police arrested Nwankwo on Merrell Drive in Raleigh at about 10 a.m. on April 5th. Police said the incident happened a day earlier.
