If Emenike had played those penalties we would not be hearing this "Moses single handedly won us Afcon" talk |
Danielnino00: ![]() I weak o The other 10 players were frying kpomo the whole time |
Utonwanne:That's why I said its not by early days He was a bum that turned out to be a prolific striker |
forgiveness:Wey bring which Afcon? He was not the only player in that Afcon and was not even our best player to begin with stop overrating him We have natural wingers it's a no brainier to take a Moses that doesn't have any stat as a winger over them |
Utonwanne:When we're done with the qualifiers and he comes out tops until then we still need Ighalo It's not by early days |
forgiveness:The other players came for fashion parade abi Playing as a Winger in the Afcon he scored only 2 penalties, is that your definition of single-handedly giving us Afcon? |
forgiveness:The point is that he doesn't offer anything as a Winger shuu make I type am for Igbo again
|
forgiveness: ![]() Debunked how? If he started his career in Nigeria and eventually gets the attention of European scouts, he wouldn't go straight away to the Premier League but to a team where he would have been tested as a Winger since that's the reason he was signed but we both know how it would turn outIf he was as good as you're pointing him out to be his position wouldn't have been changed don't you think ![]() |
kellycute:Ighalo scores goals, who else in the team asides Osimhen who btw isn't even tested gives you that guarantee? dessers? Onuachu? Nwaekeme? ![]() I want Iheanacho to come back but I cannot say I don't want Ighalo o |
forgiveness:Just give me the Wikipedia link instead of this copy and paste na With that said, Why didn't he replicate this form when he was older? if he is that good a winger then 7 league goals season should not be a problem don't you think? And to answer your question, If he started his career in Nigeria and eventually gets the attention of European scouts, he wouldn't go straight away to the Premier League but to a team where he would have been tested as a Winger since that's the reason he was signed but we both know how it would turn out Is that not privilege enough |
kellycute:You say wetin ![]() Highest goal scorer in an Afcon qualifiers and the highest goal scorer in the tournament proper is not good enough for you. Iheanacho that was starting ahead of him in the world cup didn't mess up abi? it will take more than 3 bad matches to say he is not proven |
Olulong:If you're talking about the last paragraph, go figure ![]() |
forgiveness:So which big team has he gone to now? That's the same way we hear big teams like Liverpool, Atletico, Valencia and even Barcelona want Chukwueze isn't it? |
forgiveness:This is why I said this You think if Vicmo was a Nigerian player first before he featured for any English youth team, you think he would have gotten to the level he is?Victor Moses was only Privileged to be in the English football system because he is mediocre in the position he claims is his natural that's why Conte turned him into a defensive player because he contributes literally nothing going forward Onyekuru's dribbles are productive as we've seen with Onyekuru and unlike Moses that only dribbles to throw in or goal kick. |
lloydtruth:
|
forgiveness:So Onyekuru and Chukwueze were not very good when they were young abi ![]() |
forgiveness:let Vicmo score 7 league goals in a season before we can say that he is better than the rest ![]() You think if Vicmo was a Nigerian player first before he featured for any English youth team, you think he would have gotten to the level he is? |
Philosopher1979:At the bolded The best coach in the world starts Aguero over Jesus and Brazil starts Jesus ahead of Firmino No Coach will pick a potent and proven goal scorer over an unproven goalscorer because of his work rate is it the midfield of Iwobi, Etebo that helped Ighalo get his goals? |
forgiveness:Are you serious? I don't think you watched Onyekuru while he was playing for galatasaray. What attribute does Zaha have that makes him a better player than onyekuru is? |
Victor Moses that has never scored 7 league goals a season in any top flight league after almost 10 years Truth is only Conte rates him because he fits in in his style of play, when his loan deal expires at the end of the month (31 Aug) and he doesn't get another extension, no top team will go for him |
forgiveness:He is not good enough as winger with only 16 goals in 113 matches ![]() Check out Onyekuru's stats as a winger and he is just 23, Moses just doesn't have the stats to prove that he is a good winger |
Utonwanne:He's very much needed He's a proven striker for the SE and if he should play for us again he will start ahead of Osimhen that's unproven |
forgiveness:In that first season he scored only 1 goal in 24 league matches this is mediocre, with the rest of his goals coming from Europa, community shield and CL My point is that he is better defensively and that is why he was a starter under conte not because he contributes anything notable offensively |
Rumour has it that Ighalo is coming back to the Super Eagles I will like to see how Osimhen will bench Ighalo a proven striker |
forgiveness:What now happened when he went to Chelsea? did somebody switch off his ability to cross the ball? I'm not taking anything from him, he was part of our winning squad but he's offensive attributes were simply mediocre there is no way to sugar coat it In the Premier League winning season he had only 2 assists in 34 matches despite his ability to cross with both feet and probably his head |
elyte89:He's too good to turn his back on England |
komekn:You dropped a 3 minutes video that showed his successful attempts at it but if you followed his time with Chelsea he was terrible at crossing the ball to the extent that he only completed 20% of his 578 attempts Moses as Wing back was only successful in the defensive aspect of it |
Luis Enrique squad for the upcoming matches against Ukraine and Germany in the first week of September Simón (23) García (19) Torres (23) Reguilón (23) Rodri (24) Fabián (24) Merino (24) Óscar (22) Olmo (22) Adama (24) Asensio (24) Oyarzabal (23) Fati (17) Ferran (20) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ef3M9KQWoAA98GP.jpg Spain is now one of the youngest national teams in Europe. Rohr over to you |
Utonwanne:Very rubbish And his crosses are poor |
Galatasaray are reportedly looking to sign James Rodriguez alongside Samuel Kalu meanwhile ![]() https://memegenerator.net/img/instances/81939203/ian-here-is-making-empty-threats-again-see-nobody-cares.jpg |
PPG controversy: Rivers United insist on second position The Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Boma Iyaye, has dispelled rumours that Rivers United had agreed a deal with the Nigeria Football Federation to accept its decision on the interpretation of the Point-Per-Game calculation for the 2019/20 season. The League Management Company applied the Weight-Point-Per-Game calculation to declare Enyimba second on the domestic league log ahead of Rivers who were earlier runners-up to leaders Plateau United after PPG was used. It means Enyimba will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League while Rivers will campaign in the less -prestigious Confederation Cup. Rivers, however, rejected the decision and have vowed to fight till the end for justice. Speaking while inspecting the reconstruction works at the mainbowl and training pitches of the Adokiye Amiesimaka Sports Complex in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, Iyaye said reports in the media didn’t reflect the true position of what transpired at their virtual meeting with the NFF. He disclosed that the virtual meeting had the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick; LMC boss, Shehu Dikko; Permanent Secretary, Rivers sports ministry, Honour Sirawoo; General Manager, Rivers United, Okey Kpalukwu and himself in attendance. "Rivers United did not at any time agree with the NFF on anything and that definitely is not what transpired at the meeting. During the virtual meeting, there were lots of arguments on our stand; that we remain in the second position, which we rightfully deserve,” iyaye said in a statement by the state sports ministry’s press officer, Daniel Nwankwoala. "We called on them to obey their own rules, which guide the NPFL. We also talked about how the LMC used an inconclusive head-to-head, which ran contrary to the rules. We x-rayed the situation in other leagues across the world in the realisation that FIFA and CAF do not interfere in the domestic operations of its affiliates. “So, Rivers United will not accept injustice, we are ready to pursue it anywhere; the rules must be followed and NFF knows what to do. Amaju Pinnick said he is consulting with FIFA and CAF, we cannot accept injustice and it will be vigorously pursued". PunchNG |
