Victor Osimhen gives greenlight To £50m Man Utd DealNigeria Sensational Striker, Victor Osimhen, has opted to join Manchester United after rejecting Napoli’s lofty offer. The Lille striker scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 38 appearances this season. That form has brought him to the attention of Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid. But it was Napoli who moved first for the 21-year-old; the Serie A side striking a deal worth £50m this summer. Osimhen flew to Naples to hold meetings with Coach Gennaro Gattuso and president Aurelio De Laurentiis. “Victor went to Naples with his representatives,” his agent Osita Okolo told Calcio Napoli 24. “We talked and exchanged views on the city: the impressions were good, to tell you the truth. “Victor isn’t always shy, although he would’ve preferred to make an important decision with less media exposure. “After meeting De Laurentiis, Giuntoli and Gattuso, he told me he needed some time to make a decision, without any pressure. “Later this week he was quoted not ‘interested’ to accept Napoli’s offer.” However, Osimhen is yet to sign on the dotted line and is thought to be keen to see who else comes in for him. According to report, citing Football Italia, the striker feels pressured into joining Napoli and could yet steer clear. Furthermore, they claim he wants to move to the Premier League with Manchester United in his sights. United recently struck a deal to extend Odion Ighalo’s loan until January 2021, but his return to China will leave an opening in their squad. The Red Devils have relied on Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood this season. Pundit Owen Hargreaves is now expecting big things. https://news.laveronicamagazine.com/2020/07/09/victor-osimhen-gives-greenlight-to-50m-man-utd-deal/

Don't you think you are being little bit prejudiced. Hate don do strong thing to their sense of reasoning... After his 13th goal against Burnley he went 3 matches without scoring but had an assist before his series of injuries and since his return to fitness he has only started one match... but it's hard to convince someone whose arguments are based on hate so I rest |

TheLoneCitizen: First of all, Iheanacho is in a favourable situation, his contract expires in 2 years time, if he has not been getting game time by then he leaves.
Secondly, Iheanacho is growing into a more complete striker without us noticing. Let's compare him with Vardy by game time.
Better Goal contribution per 90 Vardy's non-penalty G+A per 90 is 0.74, Iheanacho contributes 0.87.
Iheanacho hits 50% of his shots on target , the 5th highest in the league. This comes even though he averages the 9th most shots per 90 in the league.
Creativity wise, Iheanacho is involved in 3.6 goal attempts per 90, compared with Vardy's 1.72. This puts him comfortably in the Top 20 in the league's most creative players. In fact, Iheanacho is one of the few strikers on this list. He also averages the same key passes per 90 as Vardy.
Vardy carries the ball over a progressive distance of 60m while Iheanacho does this over a distance of 90m per match. To illustrate better, against Arsenal Vardy had 19 touches over 90mins while Iheanacho who played 58mins had 21 touches.
This shows that while Vardy is playing as a poacher, iheanacho is becoming a creative forward. He is definitely improving learning at top-level. Wow nice stats Just down this one

TheLoneCitizen: Iheanacho will be Leicester's number 1 in the coming seasons.
Vardy is 10 years his senior and will peter out in the coming years. Iheanacho is currently having his best season since his Man City days. Next season brings European football, and rotation is needed.
He probably made a mistake in remaining in England when he left Man City, but he will make a bigger mistake if he decides to leave now that the board and fans are generally satisfied with him. I sincerely hope it turns out the way you imagine But I would still prefer if he is loaned out to a mid table team and try to get game time... if he doesn't go on loan and maintain his form is also fine by me |

TheLoneCitizen: Emmanuel Dennis is desperate to leave Club Brugge and has told the club he wants a new challenge in a higher-ranked league. Club Brugge, meanwhile, have received no serious offers for the forward.
Also in Belgium, Dessers in training. if only iheanacho had a fraction of this guy's ambition |

In marking the uniqueness of today's date (07/07/2020), the Ligue 1 club Lille is celebrating the Nigeria international because of his shirt number Lille have declared July 7 as International Day for celebrating Victor Osimhen because of his shirt number.
The 21-year-old had an excellent debut campaign in France with the Great Danes, thanks to his goalscoring exploits in all competitions. Osimhen was the highest goalscorer in Christophe Galtier's squad with a return of 18 goals in the 2019-20 season which includes 13 efforts in Ligue 1.
His contributions earned him Lille’s Player of the Year award and the Marc Vivien Foe Prize for 2020 among other accolades.
In celebrating the July 7 date, Lille who finished fourth in the league table this season joined together two pictures of their talisman showing the no. 7 side by side.

Despite having four years left on his contract at Lille, Osimhen’s future at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy is in doubt with a number of European clubs showing interest in his signing.
Napoli are reportedly leading the chase for his services with an offer of €50 million and the Nigeria forward, before making a decision, visited the Serie A club to meet their management last week.
Lille President Gerrard Lopez admitted several offers for the 2015 Caf Young Player of the Year, and he has backed him to make a move to Gennaro Gattuso’s side where he could become a superstar. "For Victor, we had several offers. He asked me and I told him what I think was the ideal club for him,” Lopez told La Voix du Nord.
“Napoli is just below Juventus or Barcelona but is at the same level as Atletico Madrid. If he goes there, he will become their superstar.
“Having a city like Naples at your feet must be exciting for a footballer. Victor has the strength to perform under pressure." Lille celebrate International Victor Osimhen Day

If we dont have a plan we will be in trouble if things go wrong I already said there will always be replacements so we will not be in trouble if things go wrong |

Philosopher1979: Our football academies are producing competent players. It will be nice if he played for us but if he doesnt we have replacements. Our football will not develop if we rely 100% on foreign born players. We will turn to beggars and wgen they dissapoint us we will be in trouble. Zaidu sanusu is there. Stop this slavish attitude of yours mtcheew we will always have replacements but are they good enough? Zaidu and Saka should not even be in the same sentence considering the leagues and team they currently play for And if the locals are not good why won't we go for foreign borns? Abi you think say na golden generation era we dey? Begging or whatever you call it doesn't change the fact that there are better players in Europe It's better you down it with Guinness |
