Autos / Your Car Business Is In Danger If You Haven’t Done This Yet In 2024 by Edosateachings(m): 3:45pm On Feb 13
Starting a business in Nigeria is an exciting endeavour that comes with numerous opportunities and challenges. One crucial step on the road to success is registering your business with the appropriate government authorities.

While the process may seem daunting at first, the benefits of business registration in Nigeria far outweigh the initial efforts. Trust me, it's a total game-changer

In this blog post, we'll explore the various advantages that come with formally registering your business in the country.
Let's break it down in plain and simple terms, shall we?

1. Enhanced Business Image & More Credibility:

In other words, you become the Real Deal!

Imagine this: You're a potential customer looking for a service.

Would you trust a business with a legit registration or one that has no legal proof to hold them more accountable?

Or in another case, think about two businesses trying to apply for a government contract - who do you think gets the job?
Probably the one with the right paperwork, right?

Registering your business makes you look like the real deal – serious, committed, and ready to rock the business world. It shows your customers, investors, partners, and suppliers that you consider your business a worthy investment, and they also can trust you.

The best part is that, upon registering your business you get a certificate.

You can frame this certificate and hang it in your office or store to show that you’re registered and reassure your potential customers as soon as they walk in that they are dealing with a reputable business!

2. Legal Recognition and Protection:

One of the most crucial benefits of business registration in Nigeria is the legal recognition it provides.

In other words, a business simply “doesn’t exist” under the law except it is registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria.

By registering your business, you establish it as a distinct legal entity separate from its owners, which means that your personal assets will be protected from debts, losses, bankruptcy, or legal troubles arising from your company.

(Please note that if you register as a business name or enterprise, this protection from liability will not apply to you. Only a business that is registered as a limited liability company can enjoy this protection. This is one of the advantages a limited liability company (LLC) has over a business name.

It also gives you other legal grounds such as purchasing assets and properties in your business name, drawing up legally binding contracts, the ability to sue and be sued, etc

3. Access to Funding Opportunities such as Loans and Grants:

When you officially register your company with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), you enhance your eligibility for loans and grants from both financial institutions and government initiatives.

Registering with CAC boosts your chances of securing financial support because lenders and investors tend to view registered enterprises as more credible and trustworthy.

I want to personally encourage you to be on the lookout for business grants from NGOs and social enterprises.

As a registered business, you stand a high chance of meeting the eligibility criteria 99% of the time - so don’t snooze on this!
Look at my personal experience, for instance.

I won my first grant this year, a First Bank grant in partnership with the ELOY Awards Foundation.

Business registration with CAC and a corporate account were mandatory before the disbursement of funds.

The same thing is true with the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Grant, TEF, and many other grant or funding opportunities out there.

4. Business Name Protection:

Think about that brand name your customers have come to know you as, and trust you have built over the years. It would be a nightmare for you to lose the name, right?

Registering your business in Nigeria provides you with exclusive rights to your business name, preventing others from using a similar name.

This protection is crucial for building and maintaining a strong brand identity. It also reduces the risk of legal disputes over business names, which could be time-consuming and costly.

If you want to further strengthen your ownership claims on your business name, getting the name trademarked is another crucial step you should take especially if you intend to maintain it for long-term use.

5. Ability to Open a Corporate Bank Account:

When you register your business with CAC, you can open a business bank account in your company's name which allows you to keep your business funds separate from your personal money.

Separating personal and business funds makes your money management easier and helps you keep a better record of your business transactions.

Having a dedicated business bank account boosts your company's image.

It makes transactions with clients and suppliers smooth and trustworthy.

Imagine dealing with a company that uses a personal bank account—doesn't sound too professional, right?

Also, having a business bank account means you can handle big payments and receive large sums of money without a hitch.

Personal bank accounts have their limits, but corporate accounts? They play in a higher league. The Central Bank of Nigeria allows corporate accounts to handle bigger transactions and thresholds.

So, having a business bank account means more financial flexibility.

6. Ability to Hire Employees
As a registered company, you have the opportunity to seek employees or interns that will not cost you a lot in terms of paying salaries and incentives.

For example, you can write to your Local Government Authority to request for corp members to be posted to your company from the National Youth Service Commission.

They can serve in your company as their Primary Place of Assignment (PPA) during the mandatory one-year service.

You can also apply for interns from the Graduate Internship Scheme (GIS), or any internship program similar to Sure-P.

7. Business Expansion Opportunities:

Picture this: You've got big dreams for your business—more branches, new partnerships, and maybe even a collaboration with a government agency.

Well, guess what? CAC Registration is your golden ticket to turn those dreams into reality.

Once you're officially registered, you can easily open additional branches, get access to import and export licenses, partner with investors, get government contracts, and open doors to lots more opportunities

8. Obtain a visa and travel to any country for business purposes:

Did you know that your CAC certificate can grant you visa approval to travel out of Nigeria?

You can easily get a visa to travel to any country for business purposes with your CAC certificate (among other requirements) because it serves as proof of ownership of a business in Nigeria which ascertains that you have strong ties to your home country and will increase your chances of getting your visa application approved by the embassy.

9. Peace of Mind:

CAC business registration provides entrepreneurs with peace of mind. You are able to focus on your business growth and expansion, with a sense of security and stability, free from any concerns.

Conclusion:

So there you have it, friend! Business registration in Nigeria isn't just paperwork; it's your ticket to success.

It positions your business for growth, credibility, and success – you become official, protect your assets, and open doors to a world of opportunities.

Ready to level up? Get that registration done and watch your business soar!

Would you like to register your business name, company, or NGO? We can help you make the process seamless and deliver your certificate within 7-14 working days.

Consult with our accredited CAC professionals to handle your Business Name or Limited Liability Company registration.

Family / Factors To Consider Before Getting A Canada Visa For You Family by Edosateachings(m): 9:14am On Feb 02, 2023
Hello Reader,

Today’s thread is to enlighten you who is serious about relocating to Canada on the important factors that you should consider before taking that step.
And also to share with you at the end of this thread proven methods and processes that a lot of Nigerians are using to successfully relocate to Canada.

The factors are:

1. Career growth.

A major consideration you should have at the back of your mind when relocating to another country is the ease of continuing your current career or transitioning into a new one.

In my years of experience dealing with intending and new immigrants, most people don’t do a proper check before moving.

People unconsciously focus their attention on relocation much more than what they will be doing when they get to the new country.

So when considering a country, the final decision should embrace this consideration as it will determine greatly how long it will take to resume doing what you love or start a new one.

2. Family-focused system

When considering the choice of a country outside your home country, you should also consider the implication on your immediate family.

If you are married or already raising a family, this is very important.

Know for sure that it could be more challenging raising children in a different country where your parents, helpers or other family members are not residents.

You need to clearly consider a country that makes it easier to raise children, and also gives the needed support for raising children.

On top of your list should be a country that makes it easier for your parents to visit you and over time even become a resident of that country like you.

You also need to consider the overall country value for the family. This factor is so important as it will help you look back after some years and be grateful for the decision you made to move your family there.

No wonder there is a Ministry of Families, Children and Social Development in Canada.

3. Children's Welfare

Children's welfare is vital. You need to consider that before moving to a new country.

You need to find out the cost of daycare services and associated expenses.

You need to research the school system and what it entails.

You need to double-check if the country you are moving to allows citizenship by birth irrespective of the immigration status of the parents.

You definitely also need to find out if the country offers certain incentives for children.

The Canada Child Care Benefit, the Registered Educational Savings Plan, the Free elementary education up to Grade 12, and the opportunity to benefit from the National Student Loan Service are some of the ways children can develop themselves and benefit from a country like Canada.

4. Healthcare delivery system

Healthcare should be a major consideration especially if you have children, or intend to raise a family.

The quality and accessibility of healthcare in a country are a reflection of the quality of life of the people in that country.

Many folks spend millions of Naira (Nigeria currency) yearly for medical checks in certain countries just because of the dilapidating nature of the healthcare service delivery in such countries.

Many brilliant healthcare professionals have left the shore of Nigeria for other countries in search of a better environment to practice their profession.

The lack of funding for hospitals and institutions for research has limited the healthcare service industry in Nigeria in a lot of ways.

So if you choose to relocate outside Nigeria, why not go to a country where healthcare, especially emergency service is top-notched?

Canada is still a strong player in this direction despite the effect of COVID-19.

5. Ease of Integrating into the country’s society

Adjusting to a new society is a lot of work.

If you are moving to a new country, be mindful of the shock you will experience for a while and this includes the change in culture, food, dressing, and a whole lot of things.

Walking on a street with everyone looking different from you could pose a different level of mental discomfort.

Hence, you need to move to a country that is very diverse and gives everyone the right to keep and respect each other's culture without any bias.

Sometimes, it's better not to travel at all than to go to a country where you are not really wanted or appreciated.

6. Ease of becoming a citizen

The overall goal of moving into a new country is sometimes to change your status to a citizen so that you can have equal rights with those who are born in that country.

Many people don’t even take their time to consider this factor very well.

You will be shocked to know where people have moved to without thinking well. Many of them have regrets and for many, going back home is difficult.

Your topmost priority should be a country that is a global leader economically, politically, and also makes it far easier to gain citizenship.

No one does it better than Canada when compared to other countries in its class.

I remembered how Mr Victor got his own Canadian citizenship in less than 5 years. He actually qualified for it after living in Canada as a Permanent resident for 3 years.

As a Canadian citizen, you can move across the world unrestricted, you can vote and be voted for, and you have special privileges.

I will stop here today.
.

P.S. – I know that the process of relocating to Canada can be intimidating and frustrating especially if you do not clearly know what you are doing and if you do not understand the processes involved in moving to Canada legally.
And that’s why serious professionals and students who intend to relocate to Canada either as a permanent resident, or to study keep making these same 3 MISTAKES that is stopping them from successfully relocating to Canada.
I know all this because I was once in this same position. Some years back, I had plans to relocate to Canada with my family and live a better life.
But there was a problem.
I didn’t have the right information on how to successfully relocate to Canada with my family.
Due to my lack of information, I ended up losing over $30,000 to travel agents who promised heaven and earth.
After this incident... I decided to take my immigration destiny into my hands.

In 2017, I succeeded in getting a permanent residency Visa which is what I used to successfully relocate my family to Canada that same year at the age of 38. (An age that many people would consider to be too old for Canadian immigration).

Not only did I relocate to Canada with my family, I later went on to study the process of relocating to Canada, which made me a certified immigration assistant.

I also discovered a "3-step unfair advantage" any serious person can follow to relocate to Canada in as little as 8-12 months.

This "3-step unfair advantage" has helped 100s of lucky Nigerians who followed it to relocate successfully to Canada in as little as 8-12 months, and I have put together a FREE video training that will help you understand and make good use of this “3-step unfair advantage”.

1. Multiple income streams
instead of just staying and hoping everything will get better, you that time to learn something profitable.

Find a way to earn online. learn a high value skill you can create a business around.
for example we have
- Affiliate marketing
- Email marketing
- Graphics designing
- Consulting
- Freelancing

Learn how to create a profitable side hustle in social media that earns you income daily.

2. Avoid saving money in the bank.
Yes you heard me right.... The higher the inflation rate in Nigeria, The more your money depreciates in value. keep only what you need for your expenses. other funds should be put in investable assets.

3. Buy non-perishables in bulk
Buy 6months - a year worth of non perishables. As inflation eats deep into society, the price if everything skyrockets.
since I was born, I have never seen the price of any commodity reduce (I stand corrected).
protect yourself from future expenses by buying everything in bulk at the moment.
