I don't knw why christians are taking this personal, is it because most churches nowadays have been turned into money making ventures and they feel that with this law inplace their businesses will be affected? (Don't quote me-just thinking out loud)
Can you imagine a group in kd called the "yan kala-Kato" they claim they are Muslims but don't believe in the Prophet. There by going about spreading falsehoodfalsehood.

You don't have to support either of us. What you have to ask your self is if the north is the only place food can be found. Many years ago, my In-law was involved in importation of Rice from as far away as Japan.

The truth is that Nigerian North and South Relationship is not mutually benefiting both parties. The Northern states get money from crude sales,the south should also get money from the sales of food items,Imagine a scenario where crude oil sales is shared amongst Southern states only their Northern counterparts will invest more in agriculture so that they too can export agricultural products to the world and even the southern Nigeria. It will be a win win situation for both parties.I really think True federalism will be the best system of government for this Country.

Ben Bruce makes me laugh with this postulation. Are the Notherners giving us this food for free? But the Northerers are taking the proceeds of oil for free in the name of 'one Nigeria'. The South does not depend on the north for anything, if there was no Northern Nigeria, us in the South would buy food from other countries like Cameroon,Benin Republic, Ghana etc and life would go on. But if there was no Southern Nigeria, only God knows what would have happend to the North by now.

altALL Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari has promised to build four new petroleum refineries in Nigeria if elected president during the forthcoming elections taking place later this month.

On March 28, Nigeria goes to the polls to elect a new president in what is looking like a tight two horse race between General Buhari and incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. Petrol scarcity, corruption, insecurity, unemployment, power shortages and an over-dependence on oil and gas have been the key features of the campaign.

General Buhari said: “I have said that the APC as a party has identified three fundamental problems in this country. You cannot repeat them so often because everybody talks about them.

"They are insecurity, the destruction of the economy and corruption, which has become a vicious cycle. The state of insecurity, as we said when the election was extended by six weeks, is that if the Nigerian government and the military could me not tame Boko Haram for five years, what will they do in six weeks."

He added that the missing Chibok girls is really a great embarrassment to this country as since independence no such incidence has ever taken place. Accusing the government of doing nothing about their plight, General Buhari said the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had failed the country through what he termed misrule.

“We challenge the PDP, let them account for their stay in power for 16 years of rulership, in terms of the fundamental objectives we have been talking about in the three most important aspects, security, economy and corruption. We have been very consistent about these issues but people who are sitting on the periphery have kept on making noise and wasting our time.

"Let them come and defend themselves in what they have done in the last 16 years, with the incredible resources they made within this period. The incredible resources this country realised within this period is much more than what the country made since the amalgamation in 1914," General Buhari added.

NMA awaits probe report on alleged air force officer’s battery of female doctor

The Nigerian Medical Association in Osun State has said it was awaiting the report of its committee investigating a medical air force officer, Chukwuma Okpara, who was alleged to have battered a female doctor, Theresa Ugalahi, a staff of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital.
Mr. Okpara, a Wing Commander with the Nigerian Air Force, on a residency programme at the OAUTH, was alleged to have assaulted Ms. Ugalahi, last week, inflicting injuries on her.
The altercation was said to have been caused when the female doctor, living in the same residential building with Mr. Okpara, delayed in removing her car directly parked behind his car when he wanted to drive out of the compound.
The Chairman of the NMA in the state, Suraj Ogunyemi, told PREMIUM TIMES on the phone that a committee had been set up to investigate the matter and appropriate sanctions would be meted out if the air force officer was found culpable.
“The NMA as a body has its own way of dealing with such misconduct, because it is unprofessional and unethical,” Mr. Ogunyemi said.
“The committee has a week to do their job and thereafter we see how it goes. That kind of conduct is unacceptable and it is unfortunate in this environment. It has not happened here before, we have never seen such.”
According to Mr. Ogunyemi, the female doctor, who was immediately admitted to hospital after the incident, was responding to treatment.


“She needs all our support really,” he said. “It is a traumatic experience.”
However, Mr. Okpara has since denied the allegation, saying instead it was the lady that assaulted him.
He accused Ms. Ugalahi of hitting him with a pedal lock even when he did nothing to provoke her.
