Politics / "Ndigbo Will Conquer & Rule In Oduduwa Republic" - By Churchill Okonkwo by edoyad(m): 8:50pm On Aug 07, 2017

I hate to make mysteries out of nothing, but I hope I will be sufficiently understood in telling the mischievous advocates of the Oduduwa Republic like Remi Oyeyemi, Femi Fani-Kayode, and Bayo Oluwasanmi that there is a limit of ethnic homogeneity as a basis for political organization. These apostles of ethnic jingoism should know that their obsession with seeing Nigeria destroyed by all means possible is a big waste of time and akin to waiting for the ship at the airport.

The truth is that ethnic nationalism is obsolete and will surely fail to hold up when superimposed on a territory like Nigeria shared by different peoples and cultures. Even in the imagined heaven on earth in the Oduduwa Republic, there are several feuding ruling houses. A quick flash back at the Ife-Modakeke imbecility or the recent public snubbing of the Great Oni of Ife, the revered stool in the Yoruba race by the Oba of Lagos, is a reminder of cracks that can quickly widen.

As omo Igbo, that’s not my headache anyway; all I know and care about is that irrespective of whether the Igbos are in Kabba, Otuoke, Ojuelegba, Sambisa Forest or Birnin Kebbi, we will always excel.

Recently, FFK has recognized the importance of Ndigbo in Nigerian affairs. That is why he has been eulogizing and worshiping my Supreme Leader, Chief Nnamdi Kanu. Have you wondered why FFK is always saying that the Oduduwa Republic will come after Biafra? It is simply because he ain’t got the balls to do what Chief Kanu is doing. He also ain’t got the boys that are brave enough to do what IPOB is doing.

I laughed my head off when I saw the copycats calling themselves the Yoruba Liberation Command (YOLICOM). Really? Is this the best FFK, Yemi and Bayo could put together? The spokesperson of YOLICOM reminded me of the leader of the Biafra Zionist Movement, Benjamin Onwuka, who recently seceded from Nigeria with the Boko Haram leader, Shekau, in his cabinet.

As the agitation for the Oduduwa Republic finally made it to the national news by way of the clowns in YOLICOM, I sampled the opinion of Ndigbo on their fate in the new Republic. I asked whether they are ready and willing to be treated as foreigners or “slaves” in the Oduduwa Republic and they said no. I asked if they will be intimidated by the Oba of Lagos, OPC or any other person or group and they said no. I asked if they will continue to be outgoing and fearless and they gave me a resounding, yes! These decisive answers can be summarized thus: Ndigbo will conquer, prosper and rule Yoruba land.

In the Oduduwa Republic, unlike Nigeria, Ndigbo will finally be free to start asserting ourselves. Unlike the Arewa group from the North that gave us a quit notice, the Yoruba people will roll out the red carpet and welcome us with open hands. After our invasion, the Oduduwa Republic will witness a seismic shift in the ethnic and cultural makeup of many cities in Yoruba land. Even though the Yorubas may be averse to multiculturalism, Ndigbo will force them to embrace the concept of racial and cultural diversity.

Because Ndigbo have a willingness to interact with other ethnic groups, we will settle-in comfortably in the Oduduwa Republic. Even in the early stages of the “actualization” of the Oduduwa Republic, the strong will and viewpoint of Ndigbo will be forced at the will of the majority Yoruba people. We will join Afenifere and soon be part of the powerhouses that will be eligible to be crowned Obas. We will get married to the daughters of Oduduwas, build mansions in their towns and villages and only visit our country home in the Land of the Rising Sun once a year, as usual. Gradually, we will turn the Oduduwa Republic into one of the most ethnically mixed countries in the world.

Although Igbos will be the minority group in places like Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun, we will play a fundamental economic role that supports the Oduduwa’s development and the government’s coffers that we will eventually enable us to become part of a multi-ethnic group running Ibadan, Akure, Ado Ekiti and Osogbo. In a very short time, the Igbos, the minorities in the Oduduwa Republic will be the new majority with an overwhelming political, economic, and cultural dominance.

We trust that Governor Ayo Fayose will champion the handing over of the business key of the entire Oduduwa Republic to our Supreme leader, Chief Nnamdi Kanu. All our brothers currently doing business in Kano and Kaduna will invade Lagos, Ibadan, Ota, Akure and Ado Ekiti and reestablish. I trust that our good friend FFK and Fayose will facilitate the acquisition of massive acres of land needed to accommodate the troop of Igbo merchants.

In the Oduduwa Republic, we trust that our Yoruba friends will desist from rhetoric or actions that are xenophobic. Gone will be the days when four miscreants can force the closure of Ladipo Market. If Nigeria cannot protect our rights as citizens of Nigeria in Lagos today, I am very sure our Yoruba friends will find capable Igbo men to manage the outreach between LG councils and market associations so as to minimize conflicts.

We will not shy away from politics or crossing political elites in the Oduduwa Republic. Soon, we will start contesting and winning local government elections. We have already demonstrated our electoral power in Lagos State in the 2015 general elections. To crown the dominance of the Igbo people in the Oduduwa Republic, our Supreme Leader Chief Nnamdi Kanu will be invited by FFK to lead the Yoruba People. I know he will love to have his god closer home.

Just like PSG, the motto of Ndigbo anywhere in the world has been “Parc de Princes,” meaning “Dream bigger.” Ndigbo are already dreaming big about how to conquer and rule in the Oduduwa Republic. My friend FFK went berserk when Orji Uzo Kalu referred to Lagos as “no man’s land.” I wonder what he and his fellow apostles of ethnic nationalism will do when they suddenly realize that their dream has been hijacked by Ndigbo and the entire Oduduwa Republic is transformed into a “no man’s land.”

Will FFK, Yemi and Bayo give Ndigbo a quit notice to leave the Oduduwa Republic? Only time will tell. Until then, may the hallucination continue.

NaijaBet Opens Betting On Buhari's Return
A popular sports gaming site, NaijaBet.com, is asking those interested to stake their money on when Buhari who left Nigeria on May 7 on his latest medical trip to the British capital, would return.
BY AFPAUG 03, 2017

Nigeria’s ailing President Muhammadu Buhari who has been away in London for almost trhree months has become the subject of a sports betting game in his homeland.

A popular sports gaming site, NaijaBet.com, is asking those interested to stake their money on when Buhari who left Nigeria on May 7 on his latest medical trip to the British capital, would return.

The company usually focuses on English Premiership, Champions League and other sporting events, but recently launched the ‘Buhari to Return’ game: ////YOU CAN BET ON IF HE WILL RETURN ON THE 2ND WEEK OF AUGUST OR THE 4TH///

The 74-year-old Buhari first sought treatment in London in June last year for what presidency officials said was a persistent inner ear infection, returning in six months for check-ups that were later said to be “a long period of treatment”.

Buhari himself admitted on his return to Abuja in March that he had not been that ill before.

Despite Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s acting on his behalf, Buhari’s protracted absence has sparked intense public debate in Nigeria.

Last month, both members of the ruling party and the opposition went to see him in London and even took pictures with him in London to douse public anxiety.

The health of Nigerian leaders has often been a contentious issue.

Buhari, a former military ruler in the 1980s, was dogged by speculation about his health even before the election win in 2015 that brought him to power.

During that campaign, the then-ruling party claimed he was seriously ill with prostate cancer and even put out advertisements insinuating he would die in office.

He rejected the claims as unfounded.

In 2010, Nigeria was plunged into months of political turmoil after President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua died in office following months of treatment in Saudi Arabia.

On the constant attack on the president by Fayose, Oshiomole said, “I don’t like to discuss Fayose because when he makes his statements, it only reminds me of an Igbo proverb which says that if a responsible man is having his bath after a hard day’s work and he removes his dress in a local bathroom and a mad man carries the dress and the man bathing, seeing that the mad man has carried the dress, he runs out Unclad pursuing him, people will see two Unclad people running and they will say two mad men. So, sometimes, you just allow the mad man to carry your dress and go rather than joining him in his madness.

Youths protest attack on Petroleum Minister
ADEKUNLE
24 APR 2012
BY JIMITOTA ONOYUME
PORT HARCOURT – HUNDREDS of youths disrupted traffic on some streets in Port Harcourt Tuesday protesting what they viewed as a deliberate ploy by some politicians from a section of the country to destroy the reputation of the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs Diezani Alison Madueke.

The youths who carried placards with various inscriptions such as: “leave Diezani alone”, “why should activities in the NNPC be traced to 2009 yet they failed to mention name of the Minister of Petroleum then”, “is it because Diezani is from a minority area that is why the attack”, and so on.

National Mobilisation officer, South South Youth Leaders Forum, Prince Presley Iyalagha who spoke to newsmen during the protest said youths of the region would no longer fold their arms and watch with pain political appointees from the region being humiliated over nothing by some others from other sections of the country.

Continuing, he said the protest was against what he described as unfounded allegations by the Farouk Lawal Probe committee against the Minister of Petroleum. Adding, he said since Mrs Diezani came onboard as Minister of Petroleum it had been one form of orchestrated attack on her or the other. He said all were part of the grand design by a section of the country to rubbish any political office holder at the federal level.

“The latest victim of this tribalistic attack is Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, Minister for Petroleum, ever since she got in to office it has been one attack or the other, all coming from other parts of the country, the intent being to discredit her and give an impression that our people cannot manage public offices”, he said.

The group marched through streets in D line, Woji road and other parts of Port Harcourt.

Politics / Concerned Military Officers Caution Osinbajo On Cabal's Games - Sahara Reporters by edoyad(m): 4:50am On Jul 13, 2017

A group of concerned military and intelligence officers have contacted SaharaReporters to voice their deep concern about new schemes being fine-tuned by a cabal within and outside Aso Rock to retain power even if President Muhammadu Buhari’s health crisis renders him permanently incapable of reclaiming the presidency.

The officers had earlier drawn attention to moves by a coalition of forces around Senator Bukola Saraki and Abba Kyari, President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, to hijack power in the event that the ailing president’s failing health leads to a power tussle.

They now claim that some ambitious top government officials, members of the cabal, have designed a strategy to wrest power from Mr. Osinbajo using a combination of propaganda and some military-backed action.

The security sources remarked that the present leadership vacuum in Nigeria was the same scenario during the Presidency of the late Musa Yar’Adua. As Mr. Yar’Adua was sick and languished in a Saudi hospital, the cabal around him erected a strong barrier between him and Nigerians, ensuring that the people were kept in the dark about their president’s deteriorating condition.

The sources asserted that, during President Yar’Adua‘s prolonged medical leave in Saudi Arabia, the then military leadership saw the tenuous situation in the country as ripe for a power takeover. According to them, the then chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau, set up informal contact and action groups in Lagos with Ikeja cantonment as the focal point for controlling the commands in the larger Lagos area. They said a second group was established in Kaduna and Jaji while the third group was set up in Abuja where the control center was located. They said regular meetings took place during the first and second quarters of 2010. the current National Security Adviser, Mohammed Babagana Monguno a retired Nigerian Army Major General played a major role in smuggling a braindead Yar'adua into the Aso Rock Villa during that period.

However, the sources said that the then Acting President Goodluck Jonathan received solid intelligence briefing about the military’s plan and ordered his trusted associates in the security services to institute around-the-clock monitoring of the situation within and outside the military. When it became clear that the situation was on the verge of turning dangerous, Mr. Jonathan arranged to send General Dambazau on an assignment abroad and then retired him before he could conclude the mission. The then president’s move was seen as a masterstroke that saved the country’s nascent democracy, according to the security group.

They warned that the country’s current circumstances are similar to the Yar’Adua days, adding that a new set of power-hungry actors in top government positions believe that Mr. Buhari’s health problems provide another opportunity to try their luck at grabbing power.

The officers noted that, in May 2017, current Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, raised the scare of a coup d’état, adding that, two months later, nobody had been arrested and no further revelations made about the ostensible coup plan. Describing General’s Buratai’s talk as “a fake coup scare,” the security sources said it was part of the cabal’s propaganda to test the prospect of seizing power with military might.

The officers stated that Mr. Buratai’s high profile interview on BBC’s “HardTalk” was arranged by a political cabal to burnish his image, but his performance was so awful that the outside world was disappointed.

The sources claimed that the recent launch of a book on Brigadier General Zakariya Maimalari in Abuja on July 3, 2017, provided a cover for members of the cabal to converge in Abuja to further polish their power takeover strategy.

The sources urged Mr. Osinbajo to order his trusted security and intelligence hands to be attentive to any small detail or unnecessary movements in order not to be caught unawares by the machinations of those who seek to exploit the vacuum created by Mr. Buhari’s absence to enthrone themselves in power.

These next two are something else. After collecting meat from the Lion king to feed the weaker animals, these Hyenas are the type that will take the meat and share with wolves and jackals before returning to their parts of the kingdom to tell the weaker animals that only a few bones were given to them.
The second Hyena is especially disappointing because it's quite a young Hyena whom the Weaker animals thought would depart from the ways of old greedy Hyenas. The first Hyena even went to the monkey priest and cried before him that he would be honest before he was made a meat sharer.
