Min 0.75hp ? grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin.
So u go install 0.75hp for a depth of 90m, chai.
Na to leave una with una reasonings oo.
You thought I would start to defend it?
Best is to keep mute and allow most of you to wallow in ignorance grin
90m or 9m? That's approximately 300ft, shey na well be that one or borehole?

No be by that HP Convertion oh bro, I bought new 1HP AC and it was consuming 1200 watts, I sold it immediately because it was consuming so much my meter bill and my inverter could not withstand the drain I bought another one Belgium those type with Korea compressor the highest it draws is 580 watts my small inverter was very pleased with this at least i Dey use am go a few hours sleep with timer so that it will not drain battery before day break
Wow, that's awesome boss, abeg what's the brand name of the air conditioner n where did u buy it please
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Edrizz(m): 5:43am On Feb 27
My people abeg who has handy information of the power consumption of a typical 1hp air conditioner (non inverter models)

Conversion of 1hp to wattage is around 749watt but some 1hp air conditioner n even 1hp pumping machine consume as high as 1kw+, the thing no con clear again

But he had been on the grid with the above loads before his request. But wait oo, which will u choose between 230k 1.28kwh and 4.2kwh of 380k? grin
Actually d choice is left for him to pick, like oyinbo would say, cut ur cloth according to ur material n not ur size... u may never see a person that's solely on nepa yet load his/her freezer with stuffs cos of the uncertainty of Nigeria n everything inside it not excluding humans too grin
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Edrizz(m): 8:39am On Feb 24
dollarnaira:
Get the following:
4 lifepo4 Cells 12v (4.2kwh) =360k or less
Balancer = 18k or less
3kva Satchet inverter = 100k
Grid charger = 40k or so.

Total = roughly 520k

Mind you, the biggest load here is the freezer which you can run alone for over 30hrs. Your laptop will not be plug in all through and lightings only come up at night. Fans will run fully at night without freezer.

With time you will add add solar panels and be power dependent.

Baba use your sense it will work
What's the essence of using solar without solar panels, "what if" national grid collapse n his freezer is loaded with stuffs, then pressure will now certainly set in to mount solar panel.

Let's try n work with his budget n here's my opinion

100ah 12.8v battery @230k
1kva hybrid inverter 165k
530watt jinko panel 98k
Cable n MCB 30

Total 523

U don't necessarily have to charge with nepa cos of inevitability of funds to buy protective kits against surge

well I don’t see reason why I need to retighten those screws over time cos there’s absolutely no tension on those wires. They just lay flat on the roof surface.

The only thing I’m scared of is corrosion over time. I didn’t tape it or anything, just left it bare like that after attaching the wires
For rust to occur, all trio of water, sun n air must be available, I would suggest u tape it all round to prevent rusting of the screws

Wow! Thanks for the update…that means 5kva felicity inverter I’m being offering might be fake
I will suggest u get 5kva 48v SRNE inverter that has parallel function since u might upgrade d system in d future, 5kwh 48v from MrReed and I can help u in purchasing solar panels from Fouani... I resident in Ibadan, lemme handle the installation for you boss

Good day y’all
What kind of device can I use to limit the power consumption of a neighbor I intend to supply power to?
That can go as low as 200W
Go and buy current limiter, it should be around 10-20k depending on ur location. D device will allow u to adjust current to as little as 0.5amp out of 63amps. So since u looking at supplying ur neighbour with 200watt, set ur current limiter 'set 9' to 0.9. So once ur neighbour goes beyond the stipulated allowable current, the device truncates energy flow

I use 24v Haisic hybrid inverter. Great inverter, very silent. No issues with even 1.5hp submersible.
If it's their 4.2kva, it isn't silent oooo both while charging alone n when load is used on it....

Go Diy 12v
Cells 314ah - 3.76kwh 360k
Active balancer - 35k
Inverter - 160k (4000w)
Cc - 102k
530w bifacial pv --92k

U don't need installer.

You go pump water sef...
Na just small sense ...
Ain't disputing the fact that with ordinary active balancer, a lithium pack would perform excellently but the role of a bms can not be overemphasised especially for a non technical person. One of my cells got punctured on transit n have isolated it, so had to connect the remaining 7 cells without a bms n a balancer, adjusted my bulk, float and LVD accordingly and my cells are charging n discharging superbly but with a 100% monitoring.

Yep.

SRNE customer service actually replied me after about 48 hours but at that point I had already shipped the battery out for fixes. There's also a company that handles their aftersales service in Nigeria, and the person who attended to me was quite helpful.

https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/rUKC7UkebZCA

Link to the software and firmware files. Expires in two days. Install the ipower software first, open it, then install the USB drivers. You need a printer cable for communication. There's a help section there that provides all the info you need for flashing.
I know u don't like giving out ur contact on here, so have mailed you boss

So, turns out my battery also had an issue with the terminal. The cable going out from the BMS to the negative terminal had shorted and was burnt, causing massive voltage fluctuations which was likely stopping charging.

Battery was built by isangjohnson, so he asked me to ship it out of state to him for fixes. Sent it to him on Thursday morning, got my battery back on Friday evening all fixed. Top guy. I also flashed the V6.66 firmware and hard resettled the inverter after that. It's been smooth sailing since then.
o

So u further upgraded your firmware twice from 6.63 to 6.64 then to 6.66, so how do I go about the upgrading... abeg guide me to the link where I can download the updated application for the upgrades

Everything in the house, like TVs and blending machine, then also fan and lightings. No pumping machine and no AC for now until next year when I start upgrading
Since u will be charging with grid for now, I would suggest u get sako, cworth or an advanced brand like deye 6kw 48v hybrid inverter and a 5kwh lithium battery like Sako, Deriy or reach out to valto if u would like to go diy route

Good evening house. I am quite new to this solar journey and I want to get a solar panel, inverter and battery. It is for a four bedroom apartment. I have plan to upgrade as time goes by, probably adding more solar panel and also battery( though I don’t want tabular battery) . I am on band A, and I don’t mind using Nepa along with it in the initial stage until I fully upgrade. Please what will you recommend for a budget of 2m. Thanks all

*Parallel u meant

They are currently connected in parallel.
The cable does not get hot at all, whether in series or parallel, I use 10mm cable
The tripping off is mostly when connected in series, I just reconfigured to parallel yesterday, I'll observe
It would certainly trip off because the cumulative voltage of the two panels would have crossed the threshold of the CC at 12v which is said to be 80v same thing would occur if current of a system is exceeded, so u are better of using d two panels in a parallel connection since it doesn't trip or better still use a singular panel for the 12v system n keep the other panel pending ur upgrade

After some digging, I finally found the right software that communicates with our inverter.

My efforts at reaching out to SRNE have proven futile so far. Usually they send firmware files to those who ask, but I'm still waiting for a reply.

In the meantime, I've taken laws into my own hand and flashed the inverter to V6.64. Still monitoring to see if it fixes the issue, though I don't expect it to if feedback from other owners is anything to go by.
What's the experience so far on this boss

No. That 60A is the current coming from PV. Ergo, Isc.

We don't know what the onboard MPPT is rated at but it has a max charging current of 120A. At 27.5v, that means it can push 3,300w minimum. So 3,500w would be perfect.
Yeah, it's 6.63

A question just occured to me - does this occur when trying to charge via the mains (NEPA / PHCN) or Solar ?

If it's happening via Solar charging, How about relegating the charging to an external charge controller ?

Also does the issue occur at any battery level or mostly when the battery voltage is really low ?

unfortunately, I don't own any Hybrid inverter personally
I don't charge with phcn at all, charging depends solely on solar panels only... @HeavenlyBang, did u also notice that LVD has become uneditable, its stuck at 22.6

another quirk when a system tries doing lots of things. Nothing beats modularity.

Have you got anyOne else using similar inverter and having same or similar issue ? We need know where to start deBugging from.

Person like me go don tire because me can't be lurking around a system like that. it's meant to be Set & Forget, not for me to constantly police it about
I'm also using 3.3kw SRNE inverter, same model with his n it's been worrisome with the charging issue, someone also messaged me on WhatsApp asking me if the issue have been resolved

Any updates with this? Hard reset only seems to be a short term fix for me.

Inverter just refuses to charge most of the time. Even doing the heavy load hack doesn't work at times, it just charges for a bit then stops.
It's a temporary fix my brother, so have made it upon myself to always use my hot plate in the morning before it would resume charging... I messaged one of their vendors, i related d issue to him, he read my message n he never replied me let alone render any technical assistance.

Please experts in this forum. Is there any portable device I can install btw a charge controller and a 24v battery to make it disconnect from the charger controller any time it charge up to a certain level ie 29.4v? I want to stop depending solely on charge controller /BMW on this, I have seen some lq controllers charging more than the setting.
Pls
U mean a PWM charge controller n not a BMW as in d context n it's a function embedded in a charge controller to automatically truncate energy going into the battery when it's full, so u don't need any external device to perform such function

All surfaces reflect light, all. Some more than others.

The degree of reflection has to do with the material, angle and colour of such surface.

People with real world use are telling you that there is more advantage to using bifacial, even while mounted on a roof. I have seen Dam5rey's test, the other person also mentioned about 10% more yield than rated capacity from his own experience. The correct thing should be you doing your own research instead of holding onto an opinion based on belief and no empirical facts.

This post is for you and bassdow. Normally bassdow has a personal vendetta against newer technologies lol
Boss calm down now, no one is fighting with you n we are all trying to share knowledge here, meanwhile retract n retrieve ur fallacy that ALL surfaces reflect light, like does asbestos roofing n all dark pigmented roofing sheets also reflect light?. So please read n digest my comment above, I never said a properly installed bifacial isn't better than mono during energy harvest but my stand is that for a better result, it's best installed on the ground with a galvanised sheet placed at an angle underneath the mounting structure or on a shining roof but with a more sophisticated mounting racks for better result during harvest

Do you have any data to prove your point? My bifacial panels are mounted on my black roof and I still get >10% the rated capacity on sunny days.

Don't hate on something you haven't actually tried out yourself.
