According to Cambridge Dictionary, Networking is “the process of meeting and talking to people especially in order to get information that can help you.” There’s depth to this definition because networking shouldn’t always be one-sided.

As an undergraduate or fresh graduate, here’s why you should network: http://www.educateyoutoday.com/2018/04/17/5-reasons-network/

Career / Journey To The Unknown Career Path. by Educateyou(f): 7:43am On Mar 25, 2018
Sometimes, as fresh graduates; we always want to see the end of a road before taking the walk. We have failed to understand that a career is an everyday journey and it’s okay to get lost just in a bid to discover yourself. It doesn’t matter if it takes you longer than others to figure out a career, I advise that you take this walk; and I hope you find your path despite the different roads echoing your name.

Career / Luminary Of The Month : Hammed Kayode Alabi. by Educateyou(f): 8:10am On Mar 13, 2018
Hammed Kayode Alabi is a young man with a fragrance of possibilities and success. He’s the founder of Kayfactor Leadership and career academy. He’s known as a leadership and career coach, a youth champion, an inspirational speaker, a writer and a YPP Fellow.

Did you ever experience the phase of career confusion either as an undergraduate or fresh graduate? If yes, how did you resolve it?

Yes, I did. I wanted to become a lecturer. It was one of my reasons for graduating with one of the best CGPA at the department, if not the best. I had a 4.47. My dream of lecturing shattered when I couldn’t get a Job but I promised myself that I would lecture in a different way and I am doing that by helping many people find their path. I resolved this confusion by reading books. Instead of choosing instant wealth, I choose the opportunity for advancement.

Career may not come in a linear path, you may have to do many different things to figure it out. I volunteered, worked in the factory, facilitated leadership lectures online and a whole lot before I felt that spark. You will feel it when it comes.

Career / Confused About Your Career? Here’s Why You Shouldn’t Panic!!! by Educateyou(f): 9:07am On Feb 24, 2018
In this post, I shared from my experience some reasons why you shouldn't panic when confused about a career path. Truthfully, a large percent of undergraduates and fresh graduates have a difficult time choosing a career path and I think it is perfectly normal. I won’t encourage anyone to bite him/herself over choosing a career. When I graduated and it became a tussle starting a career journey, I had different individuals say to me “Girl, whatever you can do passionately for long hours without worrying about money is your career.” I got drowned in worrying over what this “thing” could be. Well, I don’t totally agree with the statement.
