He is not taxing the treasury bills. He is going to tax the GAINS from the short-term treasury bills sales. The aim is for the FDIs to stay longer and not be doing hot money flows all the time. Trade in treasury bills for longer terms and get tax waivers. Trade for shorter terms and pay capital gains tax on your gains/profits. I am in support of this, professionally and for the good of our Nation so the funds stay longer in-country

Hi everyone, I really need your advice.
I have an OND and HND in Accounting, but someone once advised me not to stop at HND. So I went on to earn a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance, and by God’s grace, I also completed an MBA in the same field.
Currently, I’m pursuing my ICAN certification, and I recently got a job that pays ₦450,000 per month. However, the workload is extremely demanding, it’s literally Monday to Monday, and even when I work tirelessly, the tasks just keep piling up.
I’m an accounting professional with strong skills in Excel, Power BI, and various accounting software, but lately, the job has started taking a toll on my health. Constant laptop use has affected my eyesight, caused back pain and poor posture, and I often feel mentally and physically exhausted. I can’t even prepare to read for my ICAN exams or study on weekends because of the constant body aches.
Now I’m at a crossroads, should I quit this job and look for a lower-paying but less stressful one, or should I hang on until I secure a good federal government job or top private firm?
For context, I leave home by 6:00 AM and don’t get back until around 9:30 PM daily, and remote work isn’t an option.
Please, I’d really appreciate your honest advice.

Treasury bills (T-bills) in Nigeria are now subject to taxation following the expiration of a previous tax exemption order. The interest earned is subject to a 10% withholding tax (WHT) for corporate entities, while individuals are exempt from this tax, although corporate income tax may still apply.



Please note that individuals are tax free on Tbills.

3) Mothers: Lack of attention, Unhealthy competition, Sometimes lacking sex, Their husbands gets the licenses to honourably chase women since they can bring in another wife. Go to Abuja and see how Alhajis chases young girls for sex. I have seen first wives suffer in Kano state and wonder if polygamy worts it. It looks like its succeeding in the north because most of the women are uneducated and religion also used to calm them. If your child drops out of school, its the will of God. My dad was born into a polygamous home. Very brilliant man. They called him uneducated professor but he never went to school. I still thank God my dad did not bring in another woman to compete with my mum all the time they had issues. It would have been a disaster. That old people's home you talk about, are not cheap to live, most of them the old people pay upto £1000 ( 2 million naira) to stay there per week, so per month is about £4000 (8 million naira). How much does your senator pay for house rent in a month. I believe not upto 8 million naira.
Also, in the UK 🇬🇧 there are labour laws that governs every job, that grass Cutter has a pension contribution which every employer must abide by, no one will embezzle his pension just like they do in Nigeria. His pension runs in £ one of the strongest currencies in the world. If he retires and decide to return home, his pension comes in £ while he is in Nigeria, his NHS medical treatment in case of any health challenges is still there, he may decide to fly back in UK 🇬🇧 and see his Doctor for free but your President and governors will pay millions of naira of tax payers money to access it.
The grass Cutter will walk in for free.

The same kind of international school the wealthy in Nigeria send thier kids and pay 10 million naira pay term. That same grass cutter his children will get UK 🇬🇧 passport in future and become British citizens. That passport cannot be bought with 1 billion Naira. Dangote with all his wealth can't buy it.
