Ikenna351: If your hydraulic controlled clutch system is really that hard to depress, then the culprit would be the clutch pressure plate, what Nigerians call Clutch disc.

I can't think of anyother component aside this, for now.

Hi Ikenna,nid to 1st commend u 4 d gud work. More grease 2 ur elbow. Pls i av an issue wit my clutch....its pretty hard press compared to my bros Toyota. Do u av any idea wat cld b responsible 4 it & posible solutions 2 it. Its Honda 97(bullet)...and d clutch is Hydraulic. Tnx

Ikenna351: Manual Transmission or Tranny is known for its trouble-free. But that doesn't mean there won't be issues with clutch system, once in a while.

Hi Ikenna,do u av any idea if d 98 Honda Accord (Bullet) is Hydraulic or Cable contolled? Mine seems a little harder to pressed compared to my bros 04 Corolla. Tnks

Ikenna351: Hydraulic controlled Clutch system is softer to depress. The clutch pedal takes very little pressure to go down.

Cable controlled Clutch system is not as soft as the other to depress. But it has been improved on some newer cars with the cable clutch system. Softer than it used to. But, the hydraulic still does better than the cable, in terms of softness.

its seem like backyard mechanics in nigeria always blame the ECU with even looking it to pc to read faults

I changed the 'Brain Box' when i had the same problem with my Maxima,and it worked.....but after spending so much changing almost all the unnecessary parts.
