Yeah, but it's unfair to single out Michael Carrick for blame.
Carrick started the season injured.Sure, he did have a slow start to the season but he's our best and most consistent midfielder all season.

I'm no fan of stats,but if you did,I'm pretty sure he would trump our midfielders.
I had to re-visist my assessment of him because,because he's never going to command attention by runing 10kms on the pitch,but he tackles and passes efficiently,and he is an asset to us.

Giggs is purely an example of a player living on past glory.
Against Chelsea he was the main culprit,not holding on to position while in central midfield.Why FErgie keeps sticking with him is a mystery but both are old farts, so i'm not surprised.

Great couple of saves at the end by De Gea.He earned us a point.
However his decision making (e.g. Punching when he shoulda caught when not under any pressure ) and his demeanor on set-pieces is still a worry for me.He did well overall and I give him credit.

This team is soft.Conceeding two in four minutes especially at the start and going three down inexplicably isn't championship calibre play by all means.Its still a mystery how we haven't managed to address our midfield problems. . .aside Michael Carrick, our central midfield as it stands does nothing for me.This will be our undoing.
