I see no reason why Evra should shake Suarez hands. |

Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by MrTA(m): 12:10pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
Effiko: Well Suarez didn't apologise to Evra instead releasing a general apology. And lately made a comment along the lines of "what happens on the pitch should stay on the pitch." Why should Evra acknowledge him? |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by Nobody: 12:21pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
Let Evra be the bigger man and let it go. |

Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by montelik(m): 1:28pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
I expect Evra to shake his hand. If as Evra said in his statements to d fa that he doesn't believe Suarez is a racist or that he has since come to understand some of what Suarez said had a different interpretation than he had assumed when d incident occurred. Then I expect Patrice to shake his hand. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by mbulela: 1:29pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
StarBoard:i disagree. His reputation has been maligned by Liverpool FC and Kenny Dalglish most especially. Suarez has not even acknowledged his error or even apologised to Evra. How does accepting a damaged reputation amount to being a bigger man? Even as an outsider, i can't see Dalglish on the road and shake his hands after this whole episode. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by mbulela: 1:31pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
montelik:He said that while Suarez abused him racially, he is not convinced that Suarez is a racist. that is a politically correct statement. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by montelik(m): 1:43pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
Well even so, if Evra is willing to be politically correct to enough to say what he did. Then I expect him to be equally politically correct enough to shake hands, whether or not it comes from his heart. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by Nobody: 1:54pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
mbulela:Your posit is relative. I think Suarez's and Liverpool by extension reputation has been the one to take a hit. Evra to me did nothing wrong in speaking out. So if Suarez want's to take the position of carrying a chip on his shoulder,so be it. Evra has nothing to prove, whether or not he shakes Suarez. Suarez is the one whose reputation needs to be improved. |
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Premier League Champions 2010/11 by mbulela: 2:03pm On Feb 09, 2012 |
going a step further,if i was Evra i will sue Kenny Dalglish for saying 'He has done this before, hasn't he?' |

New one year contract for Giggs till 2013. Giggs no go retire till he's forced to. I can't blame him cos when Scholes can come off his couch after months and still command and control our midfield easily, how will he feel like quitting while he still has more assists than our other midfielders. While it is testament to his longevity and productivity, it is also an indictment of d other players. Signings or not, if Carrick had stepped up and been a consistent midfield general not just a reliable player, if d likes of Ando, Fletcher, Gibson e.t.c showed consistency and quality Giggs would have quit realizing he would be playing reserve footy to keep match fit and Scholes would have comeback if at all, to mostly to fill a squad position. |

montelik: I have been on a research to find out the reasons why Fergie has refused to blood the young goons in our ranks. . . .or even shore up a midfield. . . .the letters G i g g s keep coming up in that order. . . .is that by any chance the spelling Mr. Ryan's surname? coogar: Can u take a look at his slim cut tie? What does that tell you? Fergie is trying to meet up. . . .who knows, SAF might end up rediscovering his music talent |
