Going by recent trend, you should be receiving the next update(Pre-Arrival, passport request) between June and July, it may come earlier. This is in good faith that additional documents won't be requested and there will be no need for an interview.

Glad to announce the arrival of our ( I and my family) PR after two years of agonizing wait.

Our preferred landing destination is Calgary, Alberta. I will love to be added to support groups that will make settlement easier

One of the mistake of my life was travelling out without getting married.
After spending years abroad, now I am back in Nigeria getting married to a Nigerian girl in Nigeria.
If I knew what I knew now, I would not ever travel abroad without getting married.

It is still forgivable for a guy tho, abroad is really hard for single women.
The number of single Nigerian women in their 30s that were on my neck for marriage was just too much.

Nigerian men hardly marry single Nigerian women abroad, majority still come back to Nigeria to marry a wife just like I did, not sure why sha... I guess the Africanness in us will always show.

Wow CIC not again! They keep rolling out new amateur sites and refuse to update their home pages and basic guides. Thanks both of you for clarifying.

We have gone through the painful process of submitting by paper, although we probably would have still done paper so as not to be limited by upload size, but hopefully others will find this useful/helpful and they can decide which works best for them.

OloriofMontreal the online application for family /spousal sponsorship started July 7th 2021. It's the best way to go now as all these nuances of the type of paper quality for the submission of the passport photograph won't come up.

I have one more question; when you submitted your 2 passport photographs with your application, how did you go about it?

Was it printed and mailed to your spouse to submit? Or did your spouse had to print on a white plain sheet? Or did you submit the application from your end?

Been a while here. Hope everyone is doing okay.

Congratulations to everyone that's made it to one stage or the other with the spousal sponsorship processing; and for those of us waiting or about to begin, God's speed too.

Quick question: the requirement states to submit a maximum of 20 pictures and maximum of 10 pages of chats/email communications between spouse's. Did anyone submit more than these slated numbers and were there any issues or penalties?

I have about 25 pictures and about 30 pages of chat screnshots put together and just wondering if that's okay to submit. I know sey dem no want make we bombard them but 30 shouldn't be too much
