Family is doing great. If you can acquire any tech related skill, it will be useful. Don't run away from survival jobs to pay the bills, however, don't get stuck there either. Take advantage of the Pre-Arrival services program. Wishing you the best.

It took 24 days which is quite unusual. Accra vfs usually takes 16days or less. Kenya is less than 10 days.

Be patient it can stay up to 2 weeks in IRCC office. Mine stayed 1.5 weeks there before counterfoil was generated.

I think you should wait until it has been processed and despatched from IRCC. That is when the counterfoil will be generated.

Submitting passport(s) to Accra VFS

Gather all documents required by IRCC and VFS Accra:

1. International Passport(s)

2. 2 Passport Photographs (see further instructions below in addendum 1)

3. Passport Request Letter (aka ready for visa mail)

4. Duly filled Height and Eye Colour Chart. (A single form containing details for every member of the family)

5. IMM008 for those with a change in family composition (by a birth, death, marriage or divorce, etc)

6. 1 CVAC form. With only page 2 filled in by PA. Do not fill pages 3 & 4. Also advisable to fill in Caps. Ink color doesn't matter.

7. Payment teller(s) for the sum of GHC 565 to ( paid per person to vfs GH's account. (See further instruction on addendum 2 below)

Put all documents in an envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a one-way delivery to:

Canadian Visa Application Centre(In Partnership with International Organisation for Migration),
Baptist Convention House,
Abelemkpe Road,
Abelemkpe,

Addendum 1.
-2 recent passport photos per person.
-Not older than 6 months
-In Canadian PR dimension (refer to photo chart)
-1 detailed copy with the name and DOB of the person at the back. Below that, write or stamp the Name
& address of photo studio with date photo was taken.
-A second copy for each person is left plain

Payment can be made through any family or friend resident in Ghana. There are also agents who can help with this if neccesary.


Other Things to note:

1. Get your tracking number and monitor on DHL tracker till its recieved by Vfs gh
2. Wait for the VFS tracking details— they will give you update on when it will be sent to IRCC and when it will be returned to you
3. Wait for the return of your passport— VFS also uses DHL to return— you don't pay for it, it's included in the GHC 565

Does PCC really expire for spousal sponsorship or it is just case by case request?

It's case by case but what I'll suggest is if it's been more than a month you got pre arrival and you haven't heard from them, then there's no harm renewing your pcc and sending it to them via webform.

Not adviceable because if u need to extend the date or have reasons for cancellation wakanow wont give u that opportunity. Check fares on wakanow and book directly from the airline. I had similar issues over a year ago now. I was coming to canada then and it was the era that CBSA required u to come one month before resumption and my resumption then was sept 1 and my flight was july 27th just becos of 3days turkish airline refused to airlift me. So i went back to wakanow dey said no more space. After lots of back and forth different treats to them about publicizing them on twitter and in the online space they now agreed to give me another flight for august 3rd now with double my initial booking fee. I booked then 365k in may for july now i was to pay additional 450k to fly for august 3rd. But friends that booked with the airline the airline just rescheduled without additional fees since it was not a no show

I booked with Wakanow and I've changed my date twice now without any hassles
