First it was Boko Haram in the North Eastern states and Abuja. later Ebola in the South Western state of Nigeria. These two menace can distabilize a country fast. Then we started praying, asking God to save our dear country from the wicked and unreasonable men. Only for the devil to raise another flood called Ebola. There was panic in the land, especially here in Lagos, because of our population and the kind of means of transportation we have here. But God said "Fear not", when the enemies come as a flood, I will raise a standard! In no time we were able to contain the demon called Ebola. And now Boko Haram empire has crumbled, Praise God!!!
I've known in a long time that our prayers as Nigerians would be answer.
God bless Nigeria, God bless our great president GEJ, God bless all our 36 states governors and God bless You for reading.

LiteratureRe: Africa to Europe: The Life Of Miss Maria : Season 1. by Egomah(m):
I'm really feeling this Maria's story. Its such an emotional one. I hope she locates Nina's parent and inform her.
My elder brother once went thru this in the early 1994, got dumped in Niger, almost died until someone helped him back to Kano state. When he came back he was looking like an AIDS victim.
Funny enough he still insisted and went again, this time he made it to Lybia that same year and came back in 1996 with some cash, only to go back and was imprisoned until Gadafi sent Nigerians back. Guess what, he still went a year later, but this time he has Europe in his mind which he finally got to.
The rest is history, he's now a citizen of italy and now works and live in Manchester England. His attitude makes me not want to travel, he has a machine kinda attitude and can be scary sometimes. Though he's now a born again, but I always keep my distance

Congregation, what were the ties you stated? Can one use a personal house document as a landed tie, even when there's no C/O?

dROC1: Thanks charzyh2, I just got the visa!

I'm single but was able to show good ties.

This forum proved very helpful.

50 Things My Future Self Wants Me To Know
BY SHANNON KAISER

In my private coaching, I always ask new clients the same question: What one message does your future self have for you? Although the responses vary, it all comes back to being comfortable on the journey of life. Your future self might say:

Things will work out.
Stop worrying so much.
Have more fun.
As a reflection on how to live a more balanced and happy life, consider creating your own list of what your future self wants you to know. Maybe these will be on your list too.

1. Forgive yourself.

2. Experience is the best way to learn.

3. Believe in what you can't see.

4. Go for more walks barefoot on the grass.

5. Remember difficult roads lead to divine destinations.

6. If it's meant to be, it will be.

7. Don’t judge people by how they look. Focus on how they make you feel.

8. It’s not what you see that matters. It’s how you see it.

9. Let your heart be your compass.

10. Take more bubble baths.

11. Smile at strangers.

12. Don’t play games especially with yourself.

13. Don’t ever let anyone tell you what is best for you.

14. Find a partner who can keep up with you and grow with you.

15. Walk your dog longer. It’s good for both of you.

16. Stop making excuses. You know that habit is hurting you.

17. Dance like no one is watching.

18. Ignore the health trends and do what feels right for your own body.

19. Don’t lie to yourself. You know it’s time to move on.

20. Let yourself laugh so hard you snort.

21. Eat more vegetables. Seriously, you’ll crave them after a while.

22. Drink more water ... a lot more.

23. Stop obsessing over that blemish.

24. People see your greatness. Start seeing it yourself.

25. You are your own worst critic. Don't believe everything you think.

26. Watch the sunset daily.

27. See your life as a creative adventure.

28. Forgive your friends turned into foes.

29. Watch animals in nature.

30. Find a partner who loves your dog as much as you do.

31. Stop feeling bad for eating and drinking things you love.

32. Love will find you.

33. Spend more time listening to your grandparents’ stories.

34. Swim in the ocean at moonlight.

35. Your mom and dad love you. Stop blaming your parents.

36. It’s OK to say no. Honor yourself.

37. Don’t be afraid of insects. There is no need to kill anything, ever.

38. Stay close to everything that makes you feel alive.

39. Travel to the place you keep daydreaming about.

40. Believe nothing unless it resonates with your own heart.

41. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Hope you all make it.

42. Find a way to love the road you are on.

43. The past is not as relevant as you think. Let it go.

44. Travel more. It will stretch your mind.

45. You aren’t what people say you are.

46. This too will pass.

47. Be kind to yourself.

48. Have more fun. Make play time a priority.

49. You really do get better with age.

50. Everything is going to be all right.

Emblem: Hello Everyone,

It was nice to be part of this great forum. My B1/B2 visa was approved today. I am so grateful to God and to everyone that contribute to this thread. @tzetzefly is an amazing guy. At a point i felt he works at the embassy...lol. The questions from the VO was all centered around my friend that invited me and also about my job. The big white guy at window 9 didn't grant visa to anyone throughout the entire 1hr:20mins i spent at the embassy.

Interview Venue: Lagos.
Interview Time: 8:30am(But got to my turn like 10am)

VO: Good moring Mr Bleep (With a smile)
Me: Good moring sir.
Vo: I can see you are going to houston, Texas. why?
Me: I am going to spend my annual leave with my friend since i couldn't make it to his wedding last year due to my busy schedule.
Vo: what is your friends name?
Me: His name is blah blah
Vo: How long have you been friends?
Me: Since i was a kid. We are childhood friends.
Vo: So Are u married?
Me: I am married.
Vo: I can see u are going alone, why isn't ur wife going with u?
Me: She just a new job and she isn't entitled to a leave yet.
Vo: When did you marry?
Me: 3 months ago (June)
Vo: Any kids?
Me: Not yet.
Vo: So tell me about your job, u sounded like a busy person (That was a green light for me. lol)
Me: I am a System Administrator for XYZ Company.
Vo: What is your job role?
Me: A,B,C,D...........
VO: What is the staff strenght of your office?
Me: 200 in Nigeria.
Vo: So u've got other branches?
Me: We are located in 11 countries.
Vo: Great (Another green light for me....)So tell me what your friend does and where he works?
Me: blah blah
Vo: How old is your friend? (I knw i am a year older than my friend but at that point the issue was that i forgot my own age for some seconds b4 i later did my calculations.....lol)
Me: He is XX years old.

The white guy smiled at me and said " Congratulations, your visa has been approved, you can pick up your visa on.........."

Its all God because i really can't xplain. There are people that have more genuin reasons for going to the US but yet got denied. Imagine, a wife of a VC of a University was denied, a sick laddy limping was denied.

NB: Pls maintain eye contact, be confident answer questions without .........."ehm", "ehn".....Above all, Pray to God for favour. Thanks T

God bless you all.

There could be a conspiracy here. Sometime ago I heard Fashola asked T..B Joshua to allow govt expand Ikotun road by allowing them break the fence of the church and some other space needed, but the prophet refused, only for this to happen.
Well, I guess now the expansion will commence

RomanceRe: Why We Ladies Sleep With Different Men - Student Opens Up by Egomah(m): 4:51am On Sep 08, 2014
There's no justifiable reason(s) for doing such, I still feel is the lazy and un-industrious type that sleeps around. The sad thing is that it has a way of hunting them back, either they don't get married, or in a messed up marriage, forget about what you see on the surface, na screen saver.
It takes the grace of God to have a better home after such lifestyle, that means you have to sincerely be a born again Christian.
