careful with unconfirmed rumors, and this is already on front page. |
Don't always look for the bad to say about Nigeria, even here in the USA, I travel from New Jersey to new York mostly standing. And some people have been standing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania via New Jersey Transit train. Its a normal thing. Even buses here they stand within the city when the seats are full. |
Yea, I did. [1quote author=nnamdiosu post=48860643] Lol. I'll save this while page becos of you. You stayed in coker aguda right. #LagosHommies[/quote] |
Looking back on those yesteryear , mehn! It was really crazy. From fetching water from the well downstairs , to stealing water. Abi when we use the bathroom without flushing, just check if anyone is out there , and escape. Or mama Eloh and mama kpomore going to my mom's put at night to view if we use meat cook soup. So many stories to tell. I remember those days when you are cooking soup, somebody else dey boil water wait for the soup, if you suji na to wait carry ur soup when it's cooked, cos they'll take some for the eba. If you still wait, in the end they'll beg you for the to eat there eba. One new neighbor came and was cooking jolluf rice, only for someone else to delete have of the rice when she went in...she learned her lesson. Omo ina( Igbo apprentice ) were the big boys then, if you have one as a bachelor, no hope for you to sleep with all those fine fine yellow sisters. If you leave you sleepers on the passage, someone else will borrow it to go out, might bring it back, depends...I'm also guilty of that, and I am also guilty of stealing mama Chigozie's mineral bottles to sell for onigo , just to buy mama Sheri fried fish take drink garri. Abi na when we dey play gamble that year, I use my junior weac money to gamble. Family fighting was a weekly event. Gossip was the order of the day, anyone who is not around will be the subject of discussion . Back then everybody wants to be a footballer, we were so many in my compound that we play against the rest of our street. Number 13a imam memudu vs the rest of imam memudu street. We were 136 regular in oe compound. Or when we used to play yoruba and ibo. Our suck away dey full every 3 months. I thank God for my life now, almost everyone of us are doing big now, must of us are living out of that lifestyle, some of us are living abroad, have our own house. The good thing about living and growing in a public house is, it makes you tougher and street smart. |
Well, I'm a Christian and I am not saying this to spite on Christianity. In a way I am talking about the new generation churches and at the same time trying to enlighten some readers, cos I've been there. Trust me, I've had my fair share of church. Been scammed by pastors, but I'm not here to judge. I am in the United States now and I see how churches are runned, they inter relate with there communitis , free food in every service, always looking for a need in the community to solve. When students are going back to school, they come to church to get all the "back to school gears", Free of charge. They don't celebrate the big givers, everything is done with discretion, the poor are not undermined. These little things go a long way my friend. I know how many times I've skipped service cos I don't have offering, or when we are forced to make pledges knowing we don't work. How they celebrate givers even when they know he or she doesn't work. In most cases she's into runs, they don't care, they just want to meet target. I wrote the name of the writer at the bottom of the article, I just posted it cos I can relate with what he's saying. Jacksonville: |
The Nigerian Pastor won't talk about Usain Bolt or Serena Williams. They won't talk about late Dora Akunyili or Tony Elumelu. The Nigerian pastor wont talk about Steve Jobs or the young people in Silicon Valley reshaping our world. They won't talk about young American scientists spending endless hours in search of a cure to a disease that's predominantly in the Tropical African region. The Nigerian pastor won't talk about Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie or Ben Okri. In every corner of the world, there exist young men and women who has defiled all odds and became successful through hardwork, creativity and dedication... The Nigerian pastor wont talk about them......neither will he ask his members to emulate the spirit of these individuals. He would rather talk about sister Agatha who got a job she WAS NOT THE MOST QUALIFIED because she prayed and fasted in line with their church program. Or Brother John who became a millionaire because he used all his salary as a seed in the church. Or Papa Miracle who he laid his hands on and 3 of his children got admission in the university Or Mama Esther paid her tithe and her business started growing everywhere across the nation......no business plan, just boom, everywhere. This has led to a new breed of mentally lazy young people who now see God as a rewarder of mediocrity. To the Nigeria Pastor, the only way to prosper is by paying your tithe and sowing seeds in the church. So they will never talk about those who has through hardwork and dedication placed theirselves in the world map. No......the Nigeria God only blesses the first 30 people that rush to the altar to drop 100,000 as seed. The Nigeria God abhors hardwork and creative thinking, He only gives to those who sow seeds and offerings......and those who shout "i am a millionaire" every morning and do nothing the rest of the day. Continue.... You want God to come down and help you use the talent He gave you and bless you because you are going to church to shout "Daddy, I receive it" You all jokers. Can someone tell these jokers that irrespective of your creed, faith or religion, blessings and favours follows you once you start using your talent and become useful to your society. God doesn't owe you N5! Chijioke Anyacho |
Is this a joke? 4000 people killed! This is just too much to take in. What's going on? |

Congratulations man, I like your spirit, its something I would have done if I was in your shoes. Just because of your actions they couldn't ask you further questions. Believe me, it was a blessing in disguise. If you had gone it and just said your birthday thing, I think your chances would have been just 30%. Congratulation once again profGinger: |

Speak to an elder is your family. Some things are too high for just an individual. Remember, she's not just marrying you, but being married to your family... Try to carry them along |
candygosh:Yea, so annoying. Had a friend then in Canada that was telling me about the program, how Louis got married to Beth and Sheredan married Antonio, who happened to be Louis younger brother. Theresa married Julian Crain, lolz. Ethan was never a Crain, but a love child of her mother's lover...forgotten his name, but the corp guy. Lots of twist |
