Education / 21 Tips On Running A Great Social Media Contest by ejovwovincent(f): 12:24am On Jan 05, 2017
If you’ve been thinking about giving something away in order to gain new followers and boost organic promotion, a social media contest may seem like the perfect solution, and it can be a great way to get noticed, when done properly. The real key to success, however, is in maintaining the new followers you generate during the contest. To do that you'll need engaging content that offers value to your readers on an ongoing basis.

Here are some key tips on how to make best use of a social media contest.

1. Review Terms of Service

Before you design a contest launch, be sure you understand the terms of service for the social media platform(s) you'll be using.

The ToS for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter are all different, be clear on what they are to ensure your contest isn’t taken down before you're able to generate interest and choose a winner.

2. Define Your Goals

What do you want to gain from this contest?

It’s easy to determine what other people will want to win, but the real point of holding a contest is to gain something. Do you want more followers? To grow your email list? To gain more analytics resources to pitch to companies you want to partner with?

Pick one or two goals and then build the design of the contest around achieving them. If you fail to do this, it'll be impossible to determine the true value for your brand of holding a contest, which will reduce the potential benefit in the long run.

3. Type Time

Once you've clearly defined the objective of the contest, it's time to decide which type of contest will help you achieve that goal most effectively.

Some of the most popular contest types include sweepstakes, photo contests, questionnaires, pin to win, and instant win.

Do some in-depth research and find successful examples of the type you’re most interested in before finalizing your decision.

4. Timing Matters

Having a clearly defined date for winners to look forward to is beneficial for several reasons.

First, it makes the goal of winning the prize seem more attainable when the date isn’t too far into the future.

Second, it gives the contest a sense of immediacy and urges those who are interested to sign up right away in order to avoid missing out on the opportunity.

5. Clear Rules

Give the people who'll be participating in the contest clear rules, so that everyone's on the same page and no questions (particularly in a legal sense) are left unanswered.

The laws surrounding games of chance and contests can vary significantly depending on your location. Research applicable resources to make sure you're in compliance with all relevant laws.

6. Eligibility

As part of the process of defining your contest rules, you'll need to determine who's eligible to enter. Again, look at the laws governing the geographic area(s) that will be involved. Do you need to exclude some states or countries? Do minors need to be excluded? Do employees of the sponsoring company need to be excluded?

It may not be fun to tell some people they aren’t allowed to enter, but being compliant with applicable laws is essential.

7. Praise Worthy Prizes

Choose a prize that will excite your target demographic, as opposed to a prize that'll be generally appealing to an audience of people that are unlikely to become members of your community.

For example, if you have a blog or business that specializes in baking, you could offer a KitchenAid Mixer, which would be of interest to virtually anyone who enjoys baking. This could help you attract a larger audience of people interested in your specific niche who'll keep their email subscription or stay subscribed to your Facebook feed long after the contest ends.

Alternatively, you could offer a new iPad with a kitchen stand to make following video recipes easier while baking, however the problem with the iPad is this contest will appeal to a much larger audience that'll likely be uninterested in your niche.

8. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Entries

Find or take the best pictures possible to help promote your contest.

If you need to take the picture yourself, make sure you brush up on the basics first, then make sure you edit the images so that they're the appropriate size for the social media platforms they'll be posted on.

If the prize is for an experience that doesn’t have a clearly defined image associated with it, choose or create one based on the feeling the experience is expected to evoke. If you were giving away a home cleaning package, for example, you could use a picture of a spotless kitchen. If you were giving away a massage, you could use peaceful scenery.

For this type of picture it may be easier to use a stock image.

9. Benefits of Branding

While you're creating those stunning images to share across various social media channels, make sure you take the time to brand them with your company logo - make it perfectly clear who is sponsoring the contest before the viewer even clicks to enter.

This is especially beneficial if the item or service you're giving away is tied to the niche you represent. Going back to the baking example, if your logo is accompanied by a popular kitchen appliance it'll help build that association in the mind of the viewer.

Consider all aspects of your brand and what sets it apart from the competition. Incorporate colors, themes, and typography, if they're a strong part of the brand’s image.

10. Hashtag Helpers

If you'll be using Instagram or Twitter to promote your contest, it's essential to choose the right hashtags to maximize attention.

To generate a trending hashtag of your own, create an entry that requires the use of a hashtag created specifically for the contest. Making it short, memorable, and unique is a challenge, but can be worth the time and effort.

11. Make it Mobile

Mobile internet use is continuing to rise, and as such, the website contestants are directed to absolutely needs to be responsive.

If mobile users click to register for your contest and are faced with a website that's difficult to navigate due to antiquated design, they'll simply move on. This can reduce entries dramatically and lead to a much less effective contest experience from a marketing perspective.

12. User Friendly

Even if the website design is responsive, if you're asking guests to fill out too much information they're likely to decide it simply isn’t worth their time.

Limit the number of fields they have to enter to three. Where possible, make it as easy as clicking a button to enter with their social media tweet, post, like, pin, or login. The easier it is for someone to enter quickly, the more likely they are to do so.

13. Incentivize Sharing

First, make sure everything you do is easy for people to share on a variety of social media platforms. When deciding what software to use to manage the contest, make sure it has the option to earn extra entries simply by sharing information about the contest. This helps ensure people are sharing the contest within their social networks so you reach the maximum number of people (again, ensure you check the contest regulations on each platform on this element).

14. Consolation Prizes

If you really want to make your social media contest a success, you need to go above and beyond the expectations of the people who enter.

Of course, you won’t be able to offer every entrant the grand prize, but that doesn’t mean they have to walk away empty handed. Send them a little bonus just for entering the contest that's related to the niche that drew them to enter originally.

15. Platform Location

It can be tempting to allow people to enter from every social media platform on which you're active, however, doing so will require additional oversight on your part and will necessitate rules that are in compliance with each individual venue. You need to consider the additional workload this will add before taking this step.

16. Editorial Calendar

You need to take the time to create an editorial calendar through whatever medium is most comfortable for you and your team.

What you use really isn’t as important as the fact that you will use it. Outline the social media posts you'll use and when they'll be used based on platform. Create email messages, blogs, and any other marketing material as well as a time table for using it. Share this information with anyone on your team who will be impacted by the contest so they're aware of when to expect an influx of interest and traffic

17. Questions and Answers

Create a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page for people who may want to know more about the contest. Cover as many questions as you can think of and make sure the resource is easily available to interested contestants, as well as any team members who may be faced with questions regarding the contest. This helps to ensure everyone's on the same page and avoids potential issues due to miscommunication.

18. Customer Service

Yes, you do need to consider the quality of the customer service experience contestants will have.

Someone needs to be monitoring social media accounts, email, and any other form of communication through which contestants are likely to ask questions, praise the contest, or vent when they're frustrated.

The way in which these contestants engage with your brand can have a big influence on how likely they are to want to continue the relationship after the contest is finished. Taking a little time to respond to individuals can have a huge impact on their overall perception of the contest and the business hosting the event.

19. Metrics

It's easy to tell how many people have entered a contest, but beyond that you'll need a way to measure the success of the campaign.

You need to know how many people arrived at your site, where they came from, how long they stayed, and how they interacted once there. Measuring each of these data points will give you a better overall look at what your target audience is looking for and how you can improve in future.

20. Countdown

Creating a countdown for the end of the contest is a great way to increase excitement and motivate people to complete the tasks required to enter - it creates a sense of urgency that prompts people to take action.

The visual component of the time literally ticking away is especially helpful for contests that require the contestants to do something more than simply fill out their name and email. For example, if they have to take a photograph, film a video, or create a piece of artwork the timer gives them a finite period of time within which they must complete their task.

21. Plan Your Next Contest

Take all of the information you gather to determine what worked well and what didn't. Ask for feedback from the people who enter the contest and begin crafting the next experience from the lessons learned.

If your contest was especially successful, you may want to make it a semi-regular occurrence. Use the editorial calendar you created for this contest as a template for future contests and as a way to schedule the timetable from concept to implementation on your editorial calendar.

Organizing a successful social media contest involves far more planning than many people realize when they initially decide to undertake such a task. In order to create an event that adds value for your existing audience, brings new people in, and increases your reputation, you'll need to carefully consider each aspect of the process.

Make it a fun, engaging, community building event, with an added bonus of possibly winning an awesome prize at the end, and everyone will walk away a winner.
Music/Radio / The 12 Greatest Rappers In The History Of Hip Hop by ejovwovincent(f): 8:44am On Dec 24, 2016
Greatest rappers in the history of Hip Hop – You’ve had this argument with your buddies a million times, “Who are your top 5 rappers?” You decide on some rules: “Are we talking most classics or biggest influence?” “New-school or old-school?” “Favourite or greatest?” You laugh, you talk, and it gets heated up with comments like “Big’s got nothing on Pac!” and “Top 3!? Kanye’s not even top5!” It’s an intense back-and-forth before one of you rolls the window down and shuts things down with a “…that’s just like, your opinion, man…” Truth is, the criteria for the greatest rapper of all time isn’t as easily defined as “most classic albums” or “most multi-platinum records.” The GOAT is all about embodying the medium. They have to live, bleed and breathe hip-hop. The candidates have to be so deep into the music that they have touched the outcome of the genre in one way or another. A rapper can’t call themselves great if they haven’t carved their own path and had others follow. It’s a matter of influence; trends aren’t born from mediocrity.

The rappers on this list are not necessarily the most prolific, most technical or best-selling. The greatest rappers of all time all took the musical style they know and love and redefined an aspect of it. These are trailblazers, innovators and icons. Without further ado, here are the 12 Greatest Rappers Of All Time.

12. Kendrick Lamar
King Kendrick has come to be known as the new king of the West Coast, and with good reason. Since his underground classic mixtape Section.80 dropped in 2011, Kendrick’s gone nowhere but up. His blend of conscious lyrics with sounds moulded from the the streets of Compton make him an all around threat on the mic, not to mention he can rap his ass off.

When his major label debut good kid, m.a.a.d. city dropped, Kendrick was unstoppable (I mean who didn’t hear Swimming Pool sat every single house party in 2012). Following that up with what is considered one of the greatest albums of the decade in any genre,To love-vendor A Butterfly had him not only loved by fans but lauded by critics.

Getting a cosign from Dr. Dre, and having West Coast legends The Game and Snoop Dogg say that they were passing the torch to him means that Kendrick is up and he’s not coming down for a long, long time. For being in the game roughly five years, Kendrick is headed closer to GOAT status by the day.

11. Lil Wayne
Love him or hate him, Wayne took the 2000s by storm, and the waves he made are still crashing into the scene today. Weezy gets flak for some of his more ridiculous lyrics but when he puts his mind to it the man can tear apart a mic.

Although he’s been in the game with Hot Boys since ’96, the peak Wayne that we all know and love came with Tha Carter III in 2008. The hype leading up to that album was surreal. It started with Tha Carter II in 2005, followed by a string of projects that had the world calling Wayne the greatest rapper out. That 3 year period is still arguably the biggest hot streak any rapper has been on. When Tha Carter III dropped with 4 multi-platinum singles there was no question that Wayne was on top.

10. Lupe Fiasco
If I’m introducing a reluctant friend to hip-hop, Lupe Fiasco is my go-to. The man has so many styles while remaining accessible and has a razor-sharp flow that never slips out of pocket. He can switch up cadences like no other, and his catalogue shines because of it. Lu can make bangers, conscious ballads, tracks about skating and everything in between. His angles on life and society combined with his insane writing ability make his catalogue a trip to dive into.

Lupe’s 2006 debut album Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor took a look at his hometown of Chicago in away that explored new territory. He examined the thrills and ills of his city as a sort of prophetic fly on the wall. His calculated schemes and crazy wordplay are smooth on the surface but take many listens to get into. A real MC’s MC, Lupe takes spot number 12.

9. Talib Kweli
Talib Kweli embodies the underground. Although he’s stayed out of the spotlight for the most part, Talib has been quietly killing it outside of the mainstream, paving the way for many conscious rappers to get shine.

The Brooklyn MC has a quick, steady flow; a waterfall of ideas and articulate imagery that feeds into a deep pool of low-key classics from over the years. His collaboration with Mos Def for their 1998 love letter to hip-hop Black Star is an absolute must-listen for anyone getting into underground rap. The two feed off of each other’s flows for an unstoppable lyrical force.

When Talib hops on tracks with more mainstream artists he always brings it. Talib’s feature on Kanye West’s song “Get ‘Em High” brought Kanye fans from the underground before he was known, and Talib still arguably killed ‘Ye on his own track.

8. Dr. Dre
Dr. Dre is a hip-hop icon. From a legendary producer to a rock-solid MC to the world’s first hip-hop billionaire there is no doubt that Dre is one of the greats. Having been in the game for 30 years, there are few rappers that even come close to the longevity that Dre has had.

Starting in ’85 with his first group, the World Class Wreckin’ Cru, then taking N.W.A. to the top and laying the foundations of gangsta rap with their debut Straight Outta Compton in 1988, Dr. Dre was a pioneer before his first solo album had even debuted. When his studio debut The Chronic dropped in 1992 the west coast rap scene was redefined. Dre had single handedly brought G-funk to the masses. By taking Eminem to the top with his beats and bringing another smash of a solo album, 2001 in the early 2000s, Dre cemented himself as a legend.

7. Kanye West
By now Kanye is not only a rapper but a producer, a fashion designer and nothing less than a pop culture icon. The thing that sets him apart from the pack is not only that he’s a jack of all trades, but that he kills it in every category.

Having broken onto the scene after producing classics like Jay-Z’s Heart Of The City, Kanye turned old-school soul sampling into his own lane. With classic album after classic album like The College Dropout, Graduation and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye is able to transcend styles and even genres without losing the feeling of a Yeezy track. His attitude is polarizing, his antics are ranted and raved about, but none of that would be happening if Kanye wasn’t an absolute trailblazer in the rap game, regardless of what you thought of Yeezus.

6. Andre 3000
When Andre 3k is on the mic, the result is something like poetry. The southern legend and one half of Outkast shook up the sound of the south alongside Big Boi in the mid 90s. When the duo dropped their debut, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik in ’94 they were quick to blow up peoples radars for up-and-coming rappers. The album ended up going platinum by the end of the year.

The way that Andre flows is reminiscent of a stream of consciousness, painting pictures and drawing scenes. The south wouldn’t be the same without Outkast, and Andre pioneered that influence. With three undeniable classic albums: Outkast: ATLiens, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, and Stankonia, and a growing catalog of amazing features, Andre easily earns spot number 6.

5. Eminem
Simply put, there’s no one that does it like Marshall Mathers. Coming from one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Detroit, Em rose from adversity, struggling to be taken seriously despite his race. What defined Slim was not only his villainous, explicit style, but his incredible lyrical dexterity. Ask any rapper that considers themselves a lyricist and Eminem is one of their biggest inspirations.

What sets Em apart is his huge level of mass appeal. At the height of his popularity he had two 10x diamond certified albums with The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show. Few rappers have gained such insane mainstream popularity without compromising their technical ability. Eminem stays lyrically top tier and has such a unique persona that he can’t be passed up in any top five.

4. Nas
Nas is arguably the most influential rapper on this list. In 1994, Nas dropped his debut album Illmatic and changed hip-hop, full stop. The album, nearly universally lauded as the greatest hip-hop album of all time, is an exploration and documentary of the streets in the Queens bridge projects in New York City. Its cold, grimy production paired with Nas’ smooth, but complex flow gives an unmatched immersive feeling of a New York winter night.

Illmatic was the beginning of a lot of street rap as well as some of the rhyme styles that we see everywhere in the rap scene today. There isn’t a rapper currently in the game that hasn’t been influenced by Nas and Illmatic, it’s the definition of a classic.

If it weren’t for Nas’ inconsistency in the letter half of his career he’d be number one, but expecting him to continue to innovate at that level considering what an asteroid Illmatic was to the landscape of rap would be too much to ask.

3. Tupac
Pac was a gangster rapper on the surface, but left listeners with layers to peel back to get to his complex core. He gave the people something that they couldn’t find in anyone else. When his debut album 2Pacalypse Now dropped in ’91 he was only 20 years old, and people knew that he was to become a legend.

Pac had lyrical ability that allowed his ideas to flourish on the mic, but above all he had emotional versatility that led to a legendary persona and an untouchable discography. He spoke on topics like police brutality, poverty, teenage pregnancy, then turned around and gave praise to his mother.

With the 20th anniversary of his death in recent weeks people still feel the impact that he had on hip-hop today. Kendrick Lamar’s new-school masterpiece To love-vendor A Butterfly showcases an interview with Pac that proves that his message lives beyond his death. Pac was a gangster, a scholar, a poet, a son, and the third greatest rapper of all time.

2. Notorious B.I.G.
Biggie Smalls, The Notorious, Big Poppa, or Christopher Wallace had a persona like no other and an unmistakable flow. When you hear Biggie’s voice on a track, you know your ears are in for a treat. His thick, relaxed style paired with his deep, commanding voice gripped tracks and took total control. He used his unique voice to tell tales of struggle and violence juxtaposed on the same album with celebrations of wealth, weed and women.

Big made the bad sound awful and the good soundlife-changing. He had such conviction in his voice and his messages that there was never any doubt about what he was saying. Had his life not been tragically cut short in 1997 at the age of 24, we would no doubt have gotten a better glimpse into the life of a legend, but during his short life Smalls gave us unmatched verses and tracks that live on to this day.

1. Jay Z
Jay is at the top of this list because more than anyone else he is so unequivocally hip-hop. Start with his classics. Albums like Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album contain more style, storytelling ability and raw lyrical prowess than most rappers pack in their entire discographies. His signature style blends ruggedness with class; refinement with braggadocio in a way that no other rapper has been able to copy, although many have tried.

In interviews Hov is always the coolest one in the room, with an air of experience reflected in his rhymes. With an astonishingly diverse flow and vivid stories of coming up the streets of Brooklyn, Jigga is unstoppable at what he does. His status in the rap game comes not only from his music but his empire, with an estimated net worth of $610 million, he’s an MC-turned-mogul that’s still a legend on the mic.

Health / 11 Things That Happen To You When You Don't Have Sex by ejovwovincent(f): 10:47am On Nov 17, 2016
When people join together and have sex, there area number of ways it can go. From the most beautiful rush of excitement to the longest burst of pure awkwardness, every new adventure is a toss-up.
But there comes a time, either through choice or luck, where the sex just stops. Either way, you're going to start feeling different. You might crave it more than ever or you may lose all interest for a while, but there are more changes going on you in you than just your libido.
When sexual activity slows down, the body takes notice. And you may not realize how many ways your sex life was affecting you until this happens.
But we're here to help with these 11 ways your body reacts to taking things slow.
Remember to SHARE if you think it might help your friends.

1. Drops in vaginal lubrication.
This isn't a direct result of a dry spell, but it can crop up if you start up again after a long one. The anxiety that can come with feeling "out of practice" can scare your body into not producing enough moisture. Unfortunately, this can make sex painful.

2. Erectile dysfunction.
For now, doctors can't agree on whether a lack of sex causes erectile dysfunction or vice versa, but the two seem to be linked. If you're worried about it, there's no harm in masturbating.

3. A weakened immune system.
It turns out regular sex helps buildup your antibodies, so you might find yourself getting sick more often without it.

4. Changes in bladder control.
Sex helps women workout their pelvic floor muscles, which is important to bladder control. Flexing your pelvic muscles can do the same job, but it's a good idea to ask your doctor first.

5. Frustration and self-doubt.
If you're not stopping sex by choice, these feelings can sometimes flare up if you have to do without it. These can also be symptoms of depression, so be sure to contact a professional if they get worse.

6. Higher blood pressure.
You may not realize it, but regular sex helps keep your blood pressure down. It's a good idea to check yours out if you're not sexually active anymore.

7. Higher stress levels.
A study showed that people were better at dealing with high-stress situations if they had regular sex. But if you're not, you can also try exercising more or meditating instead.

8. Increased risk of a heart attack.
Sex raises your heart rate and balances out your testosterone and estrogen levels. One study found that regular sex can cut your risk of heart disease in half.

9. Trouble sleeping.
After sex, your body releases a hormone called prolactin, which brings about a relaxing rest. If your body gets used to it, you may find it hard to drift off.

10. Memory problems.
Sex helps produce new cells in the brain's memory centers. But the good news is you can get the same effect by exercising often.

11. Lower risk of urinary tract infections.
Finally, some good news. But yes, sex can increase a woman's risk of UTIs because it pushes bacteria into the tract. So stopping can take away a major risk factor.

Don't forget to SHARE and help your friends deal with their dry spell.

Music/Radio / 9 Mistakes Upcoming Artistes Make. Must Read by ejovwovincent(f): 7:25pm On Oct 13, 2016
These days it seems there are quite a few independent artistes; some upcoming and even some known who work hard but seem to be struggling on the path to success. Most times it’s because of the mistakes they make in production or marketing of themselves and their songs. And the truth is talent does not automatically equal success.

Here are some common mistakes artistes make:

1. Going into music for fame: What’s your reason for going into music? Are you doing it for the love of the art or just for the spotlight and attention? The truth is, if you are doing it for the love of the art, fame will come in due time. Your motive will inspire your creation process. If you are doing it just for fame – eventually you won't be able to keep up with the creative process and what is required from you. Set realistic expectations.

2. You are waiting for Don Jazzy to find you: If you are waiting to be discovered by a record label to discover you then you are going to wait a long time! With the structure of the Nigerian music industry, there are only a handful of record labels we can boast of and even some of those labels have internal issues.

3.You release shoddy audio: It is important you put out audio material of good quality. For starters you never know who is listening and if you decide you are going to position yourself on the same level as any of the other established artistes in the industry then you have to get it right. If you produce for yourself and can’t seem to get it right, then seek out the professionals – sound engineers and producers.

4. You don’t act like a business: You act like an individual and don’t see yourself as a business. You cannot do everything yourself. In order to understand the business of the industry, there are several professionals you should be working with including: a talent manager/agent, music lawyer, music producer, publicist and A&R.

5. You don’t perform live: One of the best ways to get publicize yourself and your brand is through live performances. It is important you know how to entertain a crowd and deliver your music in such a way people remember you or your song after just one performance.

6. What does your online presence say about you? Do you have a presence online? The first time anyone hears your music, the first place they’re most likely to search for you is on the Internet. Besides having social media accounts and pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Soundcloud, etc), it’s also important you have a website. And you consistently post and engage with fans on this platforms.

7. Copying what’s hot: What works for Wizkid and Davido may not necessarily work for you. Their originality is what makes them stars. Be you, be creative and original.

8. Not marketing: Most artistes focus on creating and producing the music forgetting that this material will also need to be marketed. Even if you get your song on iTunes and Souncloud, you still need to have a marketing plan to create awareness.

9. You’re ignoring YouTube: Don’t ignore this – YouTube can serve as a way for you to grow your brand and also as a source of revenue. If you are new to the music industry – asides from uploading your audio clips, videos are also a great way for you to be discoverable. Several international acts like Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Psy were discovered on YouTube.

Food / 24 Kitchen Tips That Will Help Alot by ejovwovincent(f): 8:19pm On Sep 18, 2016
1. If you happen to over-salt a pot of soup, just
drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb
the excess salt.

2. When boiling eggs, add a pinch of salt to keep
the shells from cracking.

3. Never put citrus fruits(Oranges,Lemons, limes,
etc) or tomatoes in the fridge. The low
temperatures degrade the aroma and flavor of
these fruits.(That's why our tomatoes don't last
in the fridge)

4. To clean iron cookl-ware, don’t use detergents.
Just scrub them with salt and a clean, dry paper
towel.

5. When storing empty airtight containers, throw
in a pinch of salt to keep them from getting
stinky.

6. If you are making gravy(stew) and accidentally
burn it, just pour it into a clean pan and continue
cooking it. Add sugar a little at a time, tasting as
you go to avoid 'over-sugaring'it. The sugar will
cancel out the burned taste.

7. Burned a pot of rice? Just place a piece of
white bread on top of the rice for 5-10 minutes to
draw out the burned flavour. Be careful not to
scrape the burned pieces off of the bottom of the
pan when serving the rice.

8. Before you chop fresh red peppers, rub a little
vegetable oil into your hands and your skin won’t
absorb the spiciness.

9. If you aren’t sure how fresh your eggs are,
place them in about four inches of water. Eggs
that stay on the bottom are fresh. If only one end
tips up, the egg is less fresh and should be used
soon. If it floats, it’s past the fresh stage.

10. To banish ants from the kitchen, find out
where they are coming in and cover the hole with
petroleum jelly(Vaseline). Ants won’t trek through
the jelly. If they are coming under a door, draw a
line on the floor with chalk. The little bugs also
won’t cross a line of chalk.

11. Don’t store your bananas in a bunch or in a
fruit bowl with other fruits. Separate your
bananas and place each in a different location.
Bananas release gases which cause fruits
(including other bananas) to ripen quickly.
Separating them will keep them fresh longer.

12. To keep potatoes from budding in the bag,
put an apple in with them.

13. If you manage to have some leftover wine,
cocktail drinks at the end of the evening, freeze it
in ice cube trays for easy addition to sauces
(white wine works wonders in sauces, i don't joke
with them) in the future.
14. After boiling pasta or potatoes, cool the water
and use it to water your house plants. The water
contains nutrients that your plants will love.

15. When defrosting meat from the freezer, pour
some vinegar over it. Not only does it tenderize
the meat; it will also bring down the freezing
temperature of the meat and cause it to thaw
quicker. # Noteevery woman should have vinegar
in her kitchen.

16. Do you cry while peeling off onions, then try
this. After peeling off your onions, refrigerate the
onions for atleast 5minutes, then dice it. You will
be glad you did.

17. For aluminium pans that are looking dull, just
boil some apple peels in them. This will brighten
up the aluminum and make your house smell
yummy.

18. If your salt is becoming lumpy, put a few
grains of rice in with it to absorb excess
moisture.

19. Always keep an aloe vera plant in your
kitchen. It’s invaluable when you scrape your arm
or burn your finger. Just break off a leaf and rub
the gel from the inside on the injury.

20. When making a soup, sauce, that ends up too
fatty or greasy, drop in an ice cube. The ice will
attract the fat, which you can then scoop out.
This works wonders

21. To reuse cooking oil without tasting whatever
was cooked in the oil previously, cook a 1/4″
piece of ginger in the oil. It will remove any
remaining flavors and odors.

22. If your milk always goes bad before you can
finish it, try adding a pinch of salt to the carton
when you first open it. It will stay fresh days
longer.

23. If two drinking glasses become stuck together
after stacking, it’s not impossible to unstick
them. Just put ice in the inner glass and dunk the
outer glass in warm water. The warm glass will
expand and the cold glass will contract, making
the glasses separate easily.

24. For splinters under the fingernail, soaking the
affected finger in a bowl of milk with a piece of
bread in it, it will help
Celebrities / Lil Wayne Addresses Retirement, Vows To Never Work With Birdman Again by ejovwovincent(f): 8:56pm On Sep 14, 2016
Lil Wayne is opening up about his perceived retirement.

During an appearance on the new FS1 show “Undisputed” — which he recorded a theme song for — Weezy told hosts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe that he’s done making music with Birdman and that his retirement tweets were sparked by their ongoing dispute.

“I was at my tipping point [because of] an argument,” he said (via TMZ). “This is business. Once business is involved, I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, and we’ve got bills. This is business so once the business is right, then everything is right.”

Asked if he would work with Birdman once again after the business situation is handled, Weezy had a direct answer. “No, sir,” he said. “Give me mine and I’ll walk off free, smiling.”

Wayne may be thinking about retiring but he hasn’t stopped recording music. “If that [tweet] was at 3:30 [a.m.], I probably was at the studio at 6,” he added. “The height of my talent or the height of my career, I haven’t reached that at all.”

Lil Wayne is still suing Cash Money for $51 million. Although he said a reconciliation was possible last month, he more recently said he was “dun.”

https://twitter.com/intent/like?tweet_id=771982753717891072

Wayne’s talk of retirement has generated support from fans and fellow artists, including Drake, Young Thug, and Kendrick Lamar.

“Talk about retiring and shit,” K-Dot recently said. “Bleep that, n**a. Retiring, qutting rap, whatever you want to call it, n**ga, Bleep that, nigga.”

Celebrities / Kanye West Has Signed Tyga & Migos To G.O.O.D. Music by ejovwovincent(f): 12:25pm On Sep 08, 2016
Kanye West Has Signed Tyga & Migos To G.O.O.D.

Music Tyga has been in the news the past couple of weeks for various car purchases and repossessions, but tonight he gets some positive press as Kanye West just announced the West Coast rapper is the latest artist to sign to G.O.O.D. Music during his pop-up in New York City.

Given the fact that Tyga is a regular guest around the Kardashian household because of his relationship with Kylie Jenner, this move should come as no surprise.

Despite his negative perception, Tyga has been involved in creating a variety of hits and this business decision should benefit Kanye West’s ever expanding bottom line after recently signing another polarizing artist Desiigner to a deal with his brand.

Clearly Ye is not afraid to take risks.
UPDATE: The news doesn’t stop there! It’s also now been announced that Atlanta rap trio Migos are G.O.O.D. Music as well.

Congratulations to everyone involved.

Travel / 19 Baffling Things You Didn’t Know About North Korea by ejovwovincent(f): 7:49am On Sep 01, 2016
The hermit kingdom of North Korea is shrouded in enigma, rumor and controversy. We hear about the brutal regime on the news, but it’s hard to discern fact from fiction. George W. Bush called it the “axis of evil” and Condoleeza Rice referred to it as an “outpost of tyranny.” On the flip side, Dennis Rodman can’t get enough of the place. It’s one of the world’s most isolated countries, cut off from the global internet revolution and much contact from the outside world. Horrible human rights violations make many ethical tourists stay away, but more and more travelers are exploring this secretive nation, albeit on restricted state-controlled tours, so little details about the country are slowly emerging. James Franco and Seth Rogen’s comedy The Interview depicted a kooky fictionalized version the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and its cultish leader Kim Jong-un, but in reality it’s even more bizarre (and scary) than that. Check out these crazy facts about North Korea and have your mind blown.

1. Weed Is Legal There
Who knew North Korea was a nation of stoners? Contrary to our idea of the country being the most conservative, restrictive, controlling nation on the planet, it’s quite progressive when it comes to pot. There is no law against the sale or consumption of marijuana in North Korea. “Leaf tobacco” isn’t considered a drug there, and apparently cannabis freely grows by the roadside throughout the country. It’s not uncommon to smell the scent of weed wafting while walking the streets, and it’s particularly popular with young soldiers who prefer it over local cigarettes.

2. Hairstyles Are Restricted
Sure, you can smoke pot but you’re not free to style your hair at whim in North Korea. In 2013 there were 28 state-approved hair styles that citizens could choose from. Married women were ordered to keep their hair sensibly short while single ladies were allowed to wear their locks a little longer. Now they are supposed to emulate the basic bob worn by the Supreme Leader’s wife, Ri Sol-ju. Men used to be able to express themselves through 10 short styles. Now they are forbidden to exceed a maximum of 2cm in length, and are encouraged to copy Kim Jong-un’s ghastly bouffant ‘do (maybe he’s on-trend,see below). Scissor-wielding authorities are cracking down on anyone sporting a “capitalist” hairstyle, and offenders may be shorn on the spot.

3. They Have Their Own Calendar
It’s not 2016 in North Korea. It’s 105. They started the count anew based on former leader Kim Il-sung’sbirth date of 15 April 1912, kind of like a Before Kim and After Kim thing. The Juche calendar was adopted in 1997, and 1912 became Juche 1. Never mind if the rest of the world doesn’t recognize it. In a similar vein, in August 2015, North Korea also announced it would follow its own time zone, too. “Pyongyang time” is half an hour later than South Korea and Japan, the time zone it used to follow. They just want to break free from their “imperial past” by being different.

4. North Korea Keeps Citizens in Line With a “Three Generations of Punishment” Rule
Here’s one way to cut down on crime. In North Korea, someone who violates the law isn’t just punished – their entire family is, too. Knowing you’ll be sending grandma to the slammer or your kid to a prison work camp might make you think twice about doing a bad deed.

5. The Late Kim Jong-il Loved His Hennessy
Current DPRK leader’s father and predecessor, Kim Jong-il, had a taste for fine cognac. In fact, his annual cognac expense was said to be around$720,000 US, about 800 times the average North Korean’s annual income. That’s a lot of brandy benders!

6. DPRK’s Tallest Building is Empty
Kim Il-sung wanted to showcase North Korean power by building a record-breaking skyscraper. The pyramidal Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang is 1000 feet tall and 105 stories, and cost hundreds of millions of dollars to build over decades of starts and stops since its 1987 construction began. Sadly, this iconic building dominating Pyongyang’s skyline remains empty and unfinished, a monument to lofty ambitions gone awry.

7. Porn Is Prohibited
Teenaged boys and other Hot peeps in North Korea have it rough. Anyone caught with any type of X-rated material is sent to a correctional prison camp. There are reports saying some offenders have been executed for this offense. Most North Koreans have no access to the Internet or foreign media, but they often share films, music and other media on USB sticks that are covertly passed from person to person. However, if you’re caught with something deemed unacceptable – even something as innocuous as a pirated South Korean movie DVD – you will be severely punished.

8. They Built a Fake Propaganda City Near the Border
Not far from the DMZ between North and South Korea sits creepy Kijong-dong (“Peace Village”). At first glance, it looks like a pleasant town full of colorful houses, schools, a hospital, and a freakishly large flagpole (built to be taller than South Korea’s counterpart). However, it has been nicknamed “Propaganda Village” and is thought to have been constructed in the 1950s to lure South Korean defectors north of the border. Insiders claim that nobody actually lives there, that lights are set to a timer and that the buildings are mere shells and facades. A loudspeaker used to broadcast messages praising the virtues of North Korea and anti-Western rhetoric, but that noise pollution nonsense stopped in 2004.

10. There’s a North Korean Version of Godzilla Named Pulgasari
Kim Jong-Il was a big movie buff who had a particular penchant for Godzilla films (along with Rambo,Friday the 13thand Elvis flicks). So in 1978, when he got it in his head to make a propaganda-filled North Korean version of the monster movie, he had acclaimed South Korean director Shin Sang-ok kidnapped and forced him to churn out a few films, including the aforementioned Pulgasari. The director managed to escape eight years later, but the North Koreans claim he was there by choice, not force. If you ever get a chance to see Pulgarsari, you’re in for a cheesy treat.

11. North Korea Has Some Serious Military Might
You are probably aware that North Korea has a big army, but you may not know just how big. An estimated 1.19 million people serve are in active military service, making it the fourth largest standing army on the planet. By comparison, the US armed forces has about 1.36 million members.

12. Kim Jong-un Is the Youngest Head of State in the World
Kim Jong-un was only 28 when he became North Korea’s Supreme Leader after his father, Kim Jong-il,died in 2011. He’s 33 today. Isn’t it comforting to know that this young guy with no formal military training is at the command of the fourth largest military in the world?

13. Kim Jong-un Apparently Had His Uncle Executed by Feeding Him to a Pack of Dogs
When suspected of attempting to overthrow the state in 2012, Jang-Song Thaek was ordered to be publicly executed by his own nephew, current leader Kim Jong-un. Reports say that the 67-year-old uncle, who many saw as the successor Kim Jong-un, was stripped naked and fed to 120 hungry hounds that hadn’t been fed for several days. Of course, this story is unverified and other reports say he met his end by firing squad, but however it went down seems a testament to this brutal regime.

14. North Korea Holds Farcical Elections Every 5 Years

Of course, there’s only one name on the ballot, so it’s not really democracy in action, but helps the nation call itself the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea. Citizens are permitted to veto said candidate by publicly crossing the name out, but that rarely happens (if ever – presumably punishment for that kind of dissent is significant).

15. A Must-see Attraction in DRNK, at Least for North Koreans
The embalmed and entombed corpses of the late “Supreme Leader” Kim Jong-il and his father before him, “The Great Leader” Kim Il-sung, are preserved and on display in a glass casket for all to see. The mausoleum is located in Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the former presidential palace in Pyongyang. Apparently 150,000 people line up to see them each day, and there are strict rules about how to dress and bow in their presence. Macabre, yes, but it’s not that strange, really. The bodies of former world leaders Mao Tse-Tung, Ho Chi Minh and Lenin are similarly on display, too.

16. DPRK Boasts the World’s Largest Stadium
For all it’s backwardness and poverty, the hermit kingdom of North Korea does have a few superlatives to boast about, such as being the home of the world’s largest stadium. Pyongyang’s Rungnado May Day stadium has a capacity of 150,000 and more than 22 500 square meters of pitches. Sure, they play some soccer and other sports there, but it’s mainly a venue for the extravagant Mass Games, an annual synchronized spectacle of dance, acrobatics and gymnastics featuring over 100,000 participants in unison.

17. North Korea Has a 100% Literacy Rate
It’s hard to verify a stat like this, but if it’s true, that puts North Korea way ahead of America’s functional literacy rate of 85%.The country does have universal free education, which is a good thing, but the curriculum includes a lot of indoctrination. For example, high school students must complete a three-year 81-hour course on the history of Kim Jong-un, which is in addition to a 160-hour course on Kim Il Sung and 148 hours on Kim Jong Il. Kim worship starts in kindergarten.

18. North Koreans Are 2 Inches Shorter Than South Koreans
On average, North Korean citizens born after the warare shorter than their South Korean counterparts by about 2 inches. This is attributed to the relative poverty of the northern nation. It is said that 6 million citizens don’t get sufficient food and a third of the children have chronic malnutrition.hopemusic.

19. North Korea Is Considered the Most Corrupt Country in the World
It shares that “honor” with Somalia, but North Korea has been a leader on the most corrupt nations list for several years running. The annual Corruption Perceptions Indexevaluates 168 countries across the globe in terms of bribery, counterfeit medicine, backdoor payments, access to foreign media and other public sector corruption.

Travel / 12 Things Not To Do In Dubai by ejovwovincent(f): 8:22am On Aug 31, 2016
Dubai is a fun and frivolous playground on the Persian Gulf, but don’t consider it the Vegas of the Middle East. While this eclectic city is one of the most permissive, relaxed, cosmopolitan destinations in the region, you do have to watch your behaviour to some degree. What’s considered appropriate in your home country may be inappropriate if not illegal here, so bone-up on the local rules before visiting. Cross the line and the consequences may be dire. In fact, many a foreigner has been thrown in jail for unwittingly committing an offense. Don’t be alarmed or put off, however. Just adhere to some basic guidelines and cultural sensitivities and you can have a good time without offending anyone or breaking any local laws.
Here are 12 definite things not to do when in Dubai.

1. Don’t Drink in Public
Dubai is one of the most liberal locations in the Muslim world when it comes to booze consumption. However you have to respect the rules, be discreet and not cross the line or you could be in big trouble. Foreign residents are allowed to drink alcohol at home if they obtain a license. You can get this online or at a bottle shop, but you’ll need permission from your employer. Travelers and expats can also imbibeat licensed hotels, but don’t overdo it. Public inebriation is not tolerated here, so go easy on that all-you-can-drink champagne brunch, nightclub or bar binge. Once you step out of the venue and appear even slightly tipsy you may be charged. And, please, never ever drive while under the influence. They’ll throw the book at you, so this is definitely oneof the things not to do in Dubai.

2. Don’t Do Drugs
Just say no to dabbling in drugs in Dubai. This should be common sense, but it’s worth stressing here. Dubai has a zero tolerance policy towards possession, use and selling of illicit substances. It goes beyond the standard list of illegal narcotics you’d expect like marijuana, ecstasy, heroine and cocaine. Even prescription pharmaceuticals and some over-the-counter medications may be considered contraband. Some travelers have been incarcerated for carrying something as innocuous as codeine-based painkillers in their toiletry kit. Others have flown in from Amsterdam with traces of (legal there) pot in their system and were jailed for failing a drug test. Do your homework on what is andisn’t permitted before bringing anything potentially suspect into the country.

3. No Song and Dance
Playing loud music and dancing in the streets is one of the things not to do in Dubai. Put away that boombox and resist the urge to bust a move unless you’re on an official dance floor.

4. Watch Your Photography
Many travelers to foreign lands want to capture pictures of local people in their national dress as a photographic souvenir of their trip. However, you must be respectful of local customs and conventions when it comes to this. In Dubai it is considered rude and intrusive to snap shots of people, especially women, without expressed permission.

5. Don’t Pucker Up in Public
Public displays of affection are considered indecent in Dubai, so keep your make-out sessions completely private. A few years back a British couple was jailed for having sex on a beach, but even lesser affectionate gestures can get you in trouble too. One two some was arrested for locking lips in the back of a taxi – that’s not private enough here. Even a casual peck on the cheek between friends should be avoided. You do see some married couples or same-sex pals holding hands, but this is a grey area. It’s best to refrain from all forms of PDA to stay on the safe side.

6. Watch Your Tongue
No public cussing here, please. A tourist was charged with saying “what the f***” to an undercover policeman a while back. Bite your tongue and keep the insults, profanity and vulgar language to yourself. And do not under any circumstances spout any blasphemous or disparaging remarks against Islam in Dubai. This is considered a serious, punishable offense and more than a handful of foreigners have been jailed for making an off-the-cuff comment. Just have a little cultural sensitivity and refrain from any utterances that may be deemed insulting to Muslims. Furthermore, making negative comments about the ruling families or even prominent Emirati businessmen should be avoided. You may have all sorts of opinions and insights, but keep them to yourself or carefully whispered amongst your inner circle of trusted confidants to avoid trouble. Freedom of speech is not a universal right.

7. No Nudity
This one should go without saying, but nudity is not allowed in public places. Appropriate swim wear is okay at the beach, pool or water parks, but women must refrain from going topless. And men, keep that six-pack undercover and put a shirt on when walking through the streets, even on the jogging paths.

8. Keep Style Sensible
Dubai is a stylish cosmopolitan city with all the latest designer fashions from around the world, but there has been a recent crackdown on women wearing tight, short, low-cut, skimpy or suggestive clothing in public spaces. You’ll see signs about this modesty campaign posted in the Dubai malls. This rule seems open to interpretation and hard to police, but keep your clothing relatively conservative (ie: don’t flash a lot of skin and curves) and you should be fine rather than fined.Keep your fashion on the conservative end of the spectrum in Dubai.

9. Watch Your Wallet
Dubai has a relatively low crime rate and one tends to get complacent about basic street smarts after a while. However, petty opportunistic crime does happen here, as everywhere. Put your purse down or flash your wallet around and you could be asking fortrouble. Use the same kind of precautions as you would in any big city. Better to be vigilant than sorry.

10. Keep Your LGBT Lifestyle on the QT
While other places in the world are getting more accepting of LGBT lifestyles, the UAE is definitely not a place to flaunt it. Any sexual relations outside of a traditional heterosexual marriage is considered a crime in Dubai. Even cross-dressing is illegal here. There is an underground gay scene in Dubai, but crackdowns happen and you’d be safer to avoid it. Same-sex couples should refrain from any PDA, just like heterosexual couples should. Be who you are, but be discreet and you shouldn’t have any issues. The UAE is not as enlightened on gay rights as other parts of the world.

11. Don’t Eat in Public During Ramadan
If you happen to be in Dubai during the holy month of Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar), do not eat, drink or smoke in public while Muslims are fasting from dawn til dusk. Don’t even sneak a snack in your car. Even public gum chewing is disrespectful. You can consume freely in your hotel premises or the privacy of your home, but most other eating establishments will be closed for business. Tourists regardless of their religious background should not munch, slurp or puff away in the streets during daylight. Small children and pregnant/nursing moms are an exception, but discretion is advised. During Ramadan wait for the after-dusk feast before eating in public.

12. Don’t Use Your Left Hand
The left hand is traditionally used for “body hygiene” in Muslim cultures, therefore be mindful to avoid using it in certain circumstances. Don’t greet anyone with a left handed shake. Don’t open doors with your left hand. Don’t hand somebody something, especially food, with your left hand. Definitely don’t eat with your left hand. It’s just considered unclean even if you’ve just washed up with a vat of antibacterial soap. It’s okay to drink with your left hand, however. Naturally left-handed people should try to become ambidextrous as best they can in these situations to avoid offending the locals.

Health / 15 Facts About Boobs Everyone (even Men) Should Know by ejovwovincent(f): 7:36am On Aug 31, 2016
If there are two things in life I am sure of they are:
1.Everyone has boobs and
2.Everyone loves boobs.
But like mysterious and mystical orbs, there is so much to know about these amazing body parts. Bump up your boob IQ with these facts everyone should know to keep our boobs beautiful.

1. Boobs come in all shapes and sizes.
Your genetics, weight and other factors will determine how your boobs look. That being said, there is no normal size or shape. In fact, it is extremely common for most people to have irregular boobs, with one being a different size than the other. If you notice any sudden changes to your breast tissue or feel pain then you should visit a doctor and get them checked to keep your boobs happy and healthy.

2. And it's normal for them to be lumpy.
Fibrocystic breast change is a big, complicated phrase that basically translates to lumpy boobs. Many women have lumpy breast tissue with little fluid-filled cysts that can become more sensitive around the time of your period. So go ahead and love your lady lumps. Just be sure to watch out for new, fixed lumps that don't seem to change with your cycle. These could be an early sign of cancer and should be checked out by a doctor to make everything in in tit-top shape.

3. Nipples and areolas come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes too.
Nipples are like the cherry on top of a sundae, andareolas are essentially a neon sign that attracts people (usually nursing babies) to the nipple. Like boobs, what these parts look like is dependent on your genetics and personal history. Nipples and areolas also change color and texture with your cycle or pregnancy.

4. It's important to know what your breasts feel like normally, so that you can detect any irregularities right away.
Go ahead. Touch yourself. No but seriously, it's good to get a good idea of how your breasts feel so that you will notice anything new or unusual as soon as possible. Besides regularly feeling yourself up and noticing how your breasts change with your cycle, you should do one formal self-examination a month. The National Breast Cancer Foundation recommends inspecting your breasts in a circular pattern with your hands once a month, ensuring that you check the entire breast area including under your arm pits.

5. Yes! Men have breasts too -
meaning that they can develop breast cancer. Anyone with breast tissue can develop breast cancer and this includes men. According to The American Cancer Society, the lifetime risk for men developing breast cancer is 1 in 1,000, about 10 times lower than the risk for women. Everyone should love and take care of their breasts, because we are all at risk in some way.

6. Mammograms are important for early detection, but when to get one depends on the individual.
Mammograms can detect lumps or cancer better than a self-exam and before they are visible. However, there has been some controversy over when people should get a mammogram and how often. The National Breast Cancer Foundation reccommends women over 40 get a mammogram every 1-2 years. If someone in your immediate family (parent or sibling) had breast cancer, then you should be screened even earlier, approximately 10 years earlier than the age that they were diagnosed (if your mom was diagnosed at age 40, you should get a mammogram at age 30). Ask your doctor what would work best for you based on your family history.

7. More than 80% of people diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history.
While genetics can play a key role in determining your risk of developing breast cancer, it is extremely important to note that in most cases people had no family history of the disease. That's why everyone needs to get screened and do self exams!

8. Nipple chafing is a real problem.
Protect your nips! Nipples are sensitive and delicate little buds that are easily irritated during exercise. This is also one condition that affects guy's breasts more than women's. Using a product like Bodyglide will prevent chafing and keep your nipples happy.

9. Reducing your intake of alcohol and maintaining a healthy weight are two ways to lower your risk of developing breast cancer.
The best ways to cut your risk of developing breast cancer are to have a balanced lifestyle: eating properly, working out, and getting the proper amount of sleep. You'll also want to ease up on the pints. According The American Cancer Society, alcohol may alter hormones in the bloodstream which is one of the key contributors of developing breast cancer.

10. Boobs sore after a workout?
It's probably not your boobs. Doing chest exercises stimulates and works the pectoral muscles which are actually located behind breast tissue and fat. It is important to wear a supportive sports bra when working out. Rigorous exercise can tear and streatch breast tissue, making boobs saggy over time.

11. Smoking causes saggy breasts, so butt out!
Don't smoke. Just don't. It will significantly increase your chances of developing many cancers and diseases. Don't smoke, ok? PSA over.

12. Having a proper bra, fitted by a professional, will reduce back pain and ensure that your breasts stay perkier, longer.
Most women are not wearing the proper bra size. Go and get fitted - you will feel like a whole new woman. A good bra will support your curves and make you feel more comfortable and confident.

13. Breastfeeding is rarely this easy.
Many women will have difficulties breastfeeding and that is totally normal. A lactation consultant can help you and your baby get a latch on feedings. If you're expecting and planning on breastfeeding, start learning now by taking a course so that you'll be more prepared when the baby arrives. Breastfeeding can be hard on your body, so learning ahead of time can prevent any unnecessary discomfort.

14. It's normal to have some hairs on your boobs.
It is normal (and really common) for men and women to have hairs on their breasts. For women,if there is a large amount of hair or a sudden change then you should consult a doctor to ensure that there hasn't been a change in your hormones.

15. Nipple-gasms are a thing.
Breasts and nipples are sensitive erogenous zones. Nipple stimulation affects the same areas of the brain as vaginal and clitoral stimulation, and some people can reach orgasm through nipple stimulation alone.

Romance / 16 Hilarious Reasons Why Men And Women Will Never Understand Each Other by ejovwovincent(f): 12:37am On Aug 31, 2016
Some of the funniest things about life are the things we all have in common, along with all the little differences that make us who are. No matter how much time passes, some things never change, including the ways men and women will never be the same in more ways than one.

1. The Truth When It Comes To Shampoo:
It's tough to even wonder if guys check if the shampoo they bought even smells good until right before they use it in the shower. With ladies, they want a long term relationship when they choose their shampoo and have a vetting process similar to choosing a mate. It's the truth!

2. Packing
Let's be honest here, we can all admit that most guys are short-term planners when it comes to vacation and ladies are long term planners. If you're a guy and you can't throw everything in one bag within five minutes, you need to check your head. Your girl is probably going to need that room for all of her stuff, whether you're going away for three days or two weeks.

3. Dating Vs. Hooking Up
The difference between most single guys and girls is illustrated perfectly here—guys are looking for hook ups and ladies are already analyzing potential boyfriend material. Check your heads, fellas, because each of your expectations are going to meet reality here and she won't be afraid to tell you what she wants or how she feels.

4. Basking In The Moment
Sometimes guys aren't the greatest at reading the signs ladies provide them with, but it's probably because most men are focused on what's right in front of them, whereas ladies are always multi-tasking when it comes to where things are headed. Bless you for trying, ladies!

5. Going Shopping
When most men go to the mall they're on a mission and bust in and out like they're pulling a heist. Mission accomplished! Ladies are there to see the sights, bump into friends, check out everything and anything on sale and scope out every window display.

6. Breaking Up
Guys love to pretend like everything's fine right after a relationship comes to an end. They bottle up their emotions, pretending everything's fine and party their problems away. Ladies are usually a wreck for the first couple weeks but deal with their emotions head on and are usually better off in the long run.

7. Getting Ready To Go Out
To be fair, women typically have a lot more to deal with than men when it comes to getting ready to go out. For men, it's a three step program, where it's just shaving, showering and taking a crap. Everyone has heard the dreaded answer when asking a lady how long they'll take to get ready and they say, "I'll only be five minutes".

8. Taking A Compliment
It's pretty straight forward social arithmetic. Men take compliments, but they take them to the extreme and most women don't take compliments at all, because they usually suspect a hidden agenda.

9. Getting Revved Up
It's pretty safe to say that most men are easy to please, but women are complex multi-faceted beings that are made up of many different emotional mechanics. That's why there is nothing greater than being able to make a woman happy, even if it's just for a moment.

10. The Difference Between Expectations And Reality
Leave it to Einstein to crack the mystery between how the male and female minds work! It's pretty hard to think of a better way to explain this more directly than that. Einstein for the win!

11. Where Men Mistake Love For Understanding
No one could explain the dynamics of a relationship between a man and a woman quite like Oscar Wilde, and it's pretty safe to say that he pretty much nailed it!

12. Checking Out Someone They're Into
Many woman around the globe have mastered the fine art of subtlety when it comes to scoping a member of the opposite sex. Guys usually let their primal instincts kick and that's when they kick into full blown Austin Powers mode while their mojo takes over.

13. Watching A Baby
It probably has something to with the fact that men can't get pregnant, so naturally their relationship with children will always be different than how women interact with them. It turns out babies aren't playthings.

14. Organizing Their Work Space
Things might look like a disaster but there's usually a method to the madness and men prefer to call it "orchestrated chaos," rather than just a mess. If you actually move something, he might think it's gone forever because he can't find it with his "unique" organization method.

15. Breaking A Nail
Men don't typically pride themselves on their nails, even if they take great care of them. Between the time, energy and attention some ladies put into their nails, breaking one could be their breaking point. At that point, duck and cover, fellas.

16. Getting Their Hair Cut
Most women take better care of their hair than men take care of their cars. You know you better think fast when you get asked, "So do you notice anything new?" Do a quick scan of the current hair style and ninety-nine percent of the time the answer is somewhere in there.

Celebrities / Why Jidenna, Wale & Tinie Tempah Should Leave The Nigerian Audience Alone by ejovwovincent(f): 5:34pm On Aug 29, 2016
If you’re a music lover and you’re in tune with what’s hip and trending, then there’s absolutely no way you didn’t bump to Classic Man by Jidenna. You should know Jidenna na, the light-skinned naija boy with the beard and funny hair-do doing music abroad?

Exactly!

Anyway the Nigerian-American singer is set to tour Nigeria come September as part of the promotion for his forthcoming debut album, Long Live The Chief. I am a big supporter of the Nigerian brand and anyone steady carving a niche for himself with his or her creativity and skill, so I’m definitely hoping Jidenna’s album does very well and gives him the star status he deserves. But wait o… what if “homeboy” decides to relocate to Nigeria and do music from here? Will Jidenna’s style and kind of music really fly here? Bear in mind that Jidenna is not the only Nigerian artiste doing music abroad who has toyed with the idea of moving back here. Nigerian rapper, Olubowale Akintimehin, otherwise known as Wale (or wah-lay like he usually pronounces it) has talked severally about coming back to Nigeria to do music.

Olubowale Victor Akintimehin came into the limelight with his hit single, Chillin’ featuring Lady Gaga. A couple of other hit singles have seen the Maybach Music Group-signed artiste gain massive love both locally and internationally. Looking at his musical style and delivery, especially his ability to flow on Nigerian beats as seen in his cover of Naeto C’s Kini Big Deal, P-square’s No One Like You and other covers of Nigerian songs he has done, I think Wale could do quite well should he decide to do music from here.

Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel, better known as Seal, is an English singer and songwriter known for hits like Crazy and Kiss From A Rose, among many other chart-topping songs to his credit. I’m thinking about what a musical collaboration between Seal and Brymo would sound like; or a collaboration between Seal and Adekunle Gold… mouth-watering isn’t it? Beyond all the musical fantasies that I could possibly conjure in my small head, there is the glaring reality that the chances of these foreign-based acts doing it just as big within the Nigerian shores is near zero in my estimation, and here’s a few reasons why:

Local Dialect
I can’t imagine a Tinie Tempah, for example, (whose real name is Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu) trying to infuse his native Igbo language in his lyrics. It would be more comical than lyrical. At a time when we have moved from the paradigm of grooving to foreign music to the era where if it’s not naija, then it’s not hip, the average Nigerian music lover wants to hear a bit of Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa or at least some pidgin in their music.

Story Line
Not to say that our foreign-based acts don’t tell stories in their music, I just think their stories would likely not resonate within the minds of Nigerians, let alone we being able to relate to it. Nigerians love their grass-to-grace stories. Those stories that tell you about how someone moved from not being able to afford a single meal to owning a house in Banana Island or Lekki and so on. I really doubt that someone who has spent the better part of their life abroad would be able to tell such stories with their music, not necessarily because it’s impossible, it’s simply because they just can’t.

Rhythm
The Americans and Europeans call it Afrobeats, we back here have termed it Afropop. Whatever it is that you choose to call it, one thing is for sure – it has that Nigerian feel and is easily discerned by the locals. Beautiful as the sounds from beyond our shores are, I dare say that they have got nothing on a naija beat laced by Masterkraft, Maleek Berry, Cobhams, Don Jazzy, Young John or any of the “wicked” producers we have around. That heavy banging sound mixed with beautifully-arranged percussion and horns, not forgetting the melodious drums that we are known for and so dearly love.

Besides, they don’t have to deal with the unnecessary hassle of struggling or shows, downright heart-wrenching comments from Nigerian music fans and all the negatives that we still have to put up with in these parts as a result of our growing music industry.

Of course they can come back home every now and then for promotional and even personal purposes, but I think it’s best for them to have their superstar status in tact by jejely staying where they are and doing music where, when and how it comes naturally to them, because trust me, these naija music streets don’t play one bit!

Celebrities / Meet The Man That ‘fired’ OAP Freeze (photos) by ejovwovincent(f): 11:52pm On Aug 27, 2016
Yesterday, news went round about the situation of Coolfm OAP Daddy Freeze being fired and till now the main reason has not yet been disclosed but
There have been speculations that the on Air Personality got fired because of a throwback photo he posted in a warm embrace with the wife of comedian, Basketmouth but Freeze it was far from it that all happened because of a fallout between the employer and employee over fees.

However, Mr Amin Mousalli who Freeze claimed he has respect for, is owner of AIMS Group, a conglomerate that is into construction, engineering design, communications and more.

Mr Amin Mousalli is the wealthy founder of Nigeria’s leading radio stations Cool FM, Nigeria Info 99.3 FM and Wazobia FM, popular confectionery company, Chocolat Royal that was sealed by NAFDAC last year  over alleged sale of expired food products, businesses he has been running successfully with his daughters.

Mr Amin Mousalli is the man that sacked one of Nigeria’s most popular OAPs Ifedayo Olarinde a.k.a Freeze. Hopefully, he changes his mind. More photos below:

Health / Ladies, Say Goodbye To Dark Knuckles With These 3 Items (must Read) by ejovwovincent(f): 11:30pm On Aug 25, 2016
Some people get the bleaching thing wrong. When done right, people who have bleached look good. The problem areas for those who get it wrong are usually the knuckles, elbows and knees.
If you have naturally dark knuckles, you’ve probably been accused of bleaching in the past. Here three things that will lighten your dark knuckles:
1.  Lemon and Sugar Exfoliation
Lemon is a natural bleach agent. Sugar has got the right kind of grit to work as an exfoliator. Pair lemon with sugar and you’ve got a wonder combo. These two ingredients when used properly, will lighten dark knuckles, elbows and knees. Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice with some sugar. Use it to scrub the affected area for 10 minutes especially at night. Wash off with warm water. Apply a moisturising hand cream.

2.  Honey and Lemon treatment
Honey is another bleaching agent. It has antibacterial properties too. Mix equal portions of lemon and honey to make a moisturiser for your hands. For example, 3 tablespoons of lemon and 3 tablespoons of honey. Apply this mixture to your dark knuckles for 8-10 minutes daily. Allow it dry, then wash off with warm water.

3.  Pumice stone
No beauty routine is complete without the mention of the pumice stone. Pumice stone is a light volcanic rock that is used for the removal of dead and hard skin in manicure and pedicure. Use this stone to rub your knuckles while bathing daily to naturally lighten the area

Celebrities / Apple Music Signs Deal With Birdman, Cash Money Records by ejovwovincent(f): 11:25pm On Aug 23, 2016
Apple Music has signed a deal with Birdman and Cash Money Records, the latest addition to its ever-expanding list of artists with which the streaming service has entered exclusive deals, a source confirmed to Billboard today. The Cash Money CEO announced the "power move" on his Instagram, posting a picture of himself with Apple Music head of content Larry Jackson, who confirmed the signing in an Instagram post of his own.
"Welcome to the fam @birdman5star," Jackson wrote on Instagram, tagging the Cash Money mogul. "Tough negotiator. Much respeck.
"As of press time, there are no other details about what, exactly, this deal might entail, but it raises a few interesting questions for the label, which boasts Lil Wayne,Drake and Nicki Minaj as its marquee artists. For one, there's Drake's own deal with Apple, which has manifested itself in two exclusive album releases, the music video for "Hotline Bling" and a sponsorship deal for his current Summer Sixteen Tour alongside Future. Then there's Wayne, currently embroiled in two separate lawsuits -- one against Cash Money, one against distributor Universal Music Group-- that have held up his ability to release music, and his status as one of 20 artist-owners of JayZ's streaming service Tidal (as is Nicki Minaj), which would seemingly put him at odds with any Apple deal.

Update (1:34 p.m.):Two additional sources confirm to Billboard that the Apple deal is for a one-off documentary film about Birdman and Cash Money Records and does not affect the other deals with Cash Money artists, including Nicki and Wayne with Tidal and Drake with Apple. The original story continues below.
And finally there's the implications that would exist for Cash Money's distribution deal with UMG/Republic Records. This deal would be Apple Music's first with a full label, having previously struck direct deals with individual artists such as DJ Khaled, Future and Chance the Rapper, among others, for various types of exclusives and promotions. Cash Money's relationship with Universal goes back to 1998, when the company struck an unprecedented $30 million distribution deal with the major, turning the regional rap imprint into an international brand overnight.
Regardless of the terms, it seems to be another step by Apple Music to lock down as many exclusive releases as possible. Birdman announced recently that he has two new projects on the way: his final solo album, Ms. Gladys, and another label compilation from his Rich Gang cohorts called The Lifestyle 2. And with Apple Music expanding its television, film and advertising offerings of late, there are several mediums within which a deal could exist.

Celebrities / Hmm! Is Adekunle Gold’s Single ‘ariwoko’ About Davido? by ejovwovincent(f): 9:36pm On Aug 23, 2016
YBNL singer and Photoshop experts, Adekunle Gold has continued to proof himself and has successfully penetrated into an industry that seems to be dominated by Hip-hop singers.

His style of music has won the heart of many, paving way for other talented artiste with the same style of music as his.

Ever since the release of his single ’Ariwoko ‘ from his much anticipated album, ‘Gold’ featuring beautiful songstress, Simi, rumor has it that the song was about Davido.

Lyrics of the song say: “Your papa get money you dey do anyhow, stepping on the poor forget tomorrow, No be only you go make am gbenu dake ore o ta lo help (shut up friend, who u epp!) oo no be only you go chop life, je gboran ore oo ,ma pariwo( dont make noise friend)

”One important thing to note is that Adekunle is not the type of artiste who goes about looking for trouble as he has been someone who stays on his own lane.

Just like Falz to Skibii in his song Soft Work ‘if you fake your own death you fit no blow, even real talent still need promo’, is Adekunle lyrics: ‘ your papa get money you dey do any how, stepping on the poor forget tomorrow’ about Davido also?
