Buhari started co-founded ANPP to fuel his presidential ambition, when it became a democratic affair he suddenly left to start CPC and has the likes of Mohammed Abacha (a proud and arrogant son of the worst dictator in history) on his team as a Governorship candidate, a convenient deal? Buhari is seemingly honest, seemingly. The Man's idea's doesn't fit into today's world. besides he will try to force all his opinions through just as he did it on he party level. common to stand down for Ribadu and help mentor him for leadership fafafa , foul. Buhari is goo at one thing, whipping up sentiments. We will still vote for Goodluck and we will cast our votes and report it. My vote counts |
stildude:I feel you ja'are. Ideally JG shuld go to a debate. regardless he has engaged Nigerian's long before Buhari and Ribadu got their acts together going back and forth with their confused merger talks which their individual selfish agendas prevented from ever happening. - Buhari is a my way or the highway fellow. - Ribadu is an emotional elitist strong head ( even the grass roots north don't dig him, hence why he's using Fashola's goodwill unabashedly). - Shekarau, now this is a well spoken mister Kudo's but even track record in Kano get plenty k-leg (as was seen on BBC hardtalk) I vote for Goodluck. I will also hound him till he gets it right with his advisers and as be there to protest once he goes off the plan. My vote counts |
samix:Oh really dumb folk how? That i have an opinion that doesnt follow yours. You are a dafty. Buhari should carry his 'carrier pigeon' ideas and sit down while enjoying the praises of his people. Presidency is not for him. Sorry, but hope that doesn't blow your moronic mickey mouse brain. |
monkeyleg:Not an excuse, but an realistic view to performance at the debate. I feel JG or his silly advisors should have at least done a collabo with NN24 and BON. In any case, ACN (in reality Tinubu and his family, since his son-in-law and and wife + cousins are all now cashing in on the largesse) is hinging its presidential hopes on one man - BRF - a man they blackmailed, vilified, and oppressed, and thats the party thats calling the PDP corrupt, common! Lets not visit the sins of PDP on Jonathan cause they told us to do so as zombies. |
Better to remain silent, than to speak and erase all doubts of maliciousnes #ff the presidential debate yesterday, we have seen the emotional blackmail and vendetta behind Buhari and Ribadu. Whilst Shekerau (a good surprise) comes out strong his setback remains his lack of policy details and his choice of running mate. My vote counts! |
Enough with the Buhari being a saviour nonsense. Buhari is aged and should follow the like of elder statemen that advise the nation, if he's capable of such. Enough of all the emotional brouhaha and blackmail. We need proper change not not a veiled attempt to turn Nigeria into a pseudo militarised state. The Obj we are all vilifying is now the person being used to validate Buhari, common! Our votes will not count for Buhari. |
Hmmm when i first saw the posters, i was like "what tha, " then i saw the billboards. Curiously i headed to the website, neeways seems like a new campaign. I have been wondering myself. Lagos has changed, but has my life :-) I still drive through 3 feet of water everyday, cower at night from the sporadic gun shots in this ember month and now face the prospect of crazy tolls, Has my life really changed? hhmmm,

AN OPEN LETTER TO MR JONATHAN GOODLUCK: Sir, welcome to ultimate executive authority. You will know, better than I, how broken this society is. Our infrastructure has collapsed. Our politics is in disarray. Our vision is beclouded. Our young are in flight. Our reputation is tarnished. Still, there remains this chance - albeit slim - to reinvent - to rebuild - to reestablish. This nation of spirited, hardworking and driven individuals, yearns for good strong and visionary leadership. We are desperate for men of courage and compassion, of learning and breeding, of ears and eyes, to take this land from a place of rot to the land of promise. I plead with you Mr. President, to hearken to the pleas that you know so well. Neither play mute nor dictate. Simply reach out and connect. Listen. Extend yourself. Build a bridge - from the centre of the State House to the hearts of the people in whose name you serve. Above all, as you look to govern this broken nation, I urge you to be activist and engaging. Do not abandon Nigeria and Nigerians. Do not retreat into the comforts of Aso Villa - while millions languish in poverty and drift in ignorance. I besiege you to approach this extraordinary privilege that you have been afforded from 'the perspective of a sheriff in a western town where things are out of control. You need to do the equivalent of walking into Main Street and shooting your gun up in the air a few times to establish that you're in charge - because right now, no one is in charge'. Mr. President (and I reject the appellation of 'Acting' because this is real time - no acting), our nation is in drift. It has been for close to three years, some might say three decades. In symbolic measure, through words and deed, rescue our polity, alter our political discuss, restore 2infrastructure, hire the competent, promote the committed - and send a loud message to the world 'THAT WE CAN TOO' - Remi Okunlola. I got my copy of Asa's album last week and right now a lot of people (co workers n neighbours included) wuld love to have the CD burned (but they still love it non the less). Its been a while since a Nigerian CD totally blew me to bits. Her Lyrics are quite reflective, soul wrenching atimes. I must say shes makes proud, what we have left of our nation. Her album gives us solace for the windy n tough everyday life , hope for a better future, and comedy like no other. My favourites are Bibanke, Eye, Awe, jailer, fire on the mountain, so beautiful, Iba, and subway (about the whole album shey )I implore you to get your copy of her awesome 'must win awards' CD. Merely owning a copy makes you feel quite proud of it. Even if you don't understand some of the yourba lyrics you sure would love the music (plus she's got interpretations on http://www.asamusic.net) She truly is a great one somewhere btwn Lauryn Hill, macy gray, n Jill Scoot. Right now, My fantasy is to have her perform a song with Jill scott, it sure would bee a killer! kai!! |
When is the deadline? |
I see some of us here didn't take a liking to my earlier posts :-) Sure the contestants got enough (supposed) warning bout how tough it will be, but c'mon we all know ad gimmicks. If NB advertised with "WARNING! Contestants are liable to DIE!" u honestly think they 'ld get enough applicants to be bragging with?!!! (over 21,000 entries!, 6,000 eligble entries, 130 shortlisted, 40 to trials, 10 selected! ) For those who compared our dear GUS with the other reality shows (survivor), honestly haven't u seen the difference in professionalism, organisation and all! (not that NB didn't try, just not well enough) When you watch fear factor, you see their 'fail safe' measures. So if even you want to commit suicide you cannot with all your will, do it on their show. So maybe this is a good thing for GUS, maybe now they (NB) can see the 'risks' (yes, not only contestants need to know the risks) involved. maybe they will sit up and not plan the show so sloppishly, and not cut budgets unjustifiedly, and play politics with candidate selection Fact still remains the poor boy is dead as a result of NB. Whether or not he was a junkie, a rapist, a business man in the making, a future president, a father, a great inventor, a mentor, a legend we 'll never know. And you cannot put a value on that can we? Neither should it be just swept under the carpet all in a bid to get the show back on the road. How would you react if it were your friend, brother, colleague, neighbour, benefactor, cousin? |
Let evaluate this for a min, Boy is only son of his parents (lots of value) Boy is the only emotional support of his mother (loads of value) Boy just graduated, could ve well gone on to become anything (literally mega value!!) i think it's only fair NB diverts 100 million out their much publicised, proudly cited 400 million naira budget to console the bereaved and stop trying to absolve themselves. The show most likely continue, but then let them pretend to demonstrate a liitle responsibilty. |
It's quite a pity really, the loss of the young man. But we all know how coporations never really take up the social responsiility creed. Most certainly NB will try to cover up the whole mess, bribe a few pple to keep shut, point fingers at some hapless employee (whom they figured he's time was up anyway), fork a few millions to the bereaved's family, pacify shareholders to not dump their shares, and eventually keep their annual cash machine on it's due course. Hmm, such a pity, nows thats reality for U |
