With all the faults you listed above, what else are you expecting?

Transmission? Manual gear is awesome and easy to fix. No. Cars are not lasting longer. If they do, manufacturers will go out of business. Some of them go as far as putting proprietary parts in cars that you can only get from their dealership.

Most importantly, maintenance is the key. Although some cars require TLC than others until the owner gives up. You want to put another 50k in a 2003 Camry before letting it go. Why? I mentioned 1990 300E still going strong and you can't wait to let go of 2003. In other words, you surreptitiously agreed with my points.

The business model of Auto industry has changed. Everything has expiry date. They expect you to trade in a car after 100k miles and take a newer model. Cars are not made as sturdy and reliable as they used to be. The manufacturers are more interested in aesthetics, entertainment, comfort than reliability which is why they load newer cars with electronic gadgets, sensors, etc that drive owners nuts when they develop problems. You will see a 1990 Mercedes 300E still going strong but a Toyota Camry 2003 will look like something out of a dumpster. By the way, I don't think car manufacturers have Nigeria roads in mind when they put their cars together. Roads in Nigeria could be classified as off-road. Vehicles plying them should have reinforced suspension. But do they? No.

That car was never designed to use green coolant in its engine cooling system.It was designed to use pink(Toyota long life coolant premixed). And you bought it as tokunbo? Hmm. something is fishy here.

toyota uses toyota genuine longlife coolant, bright pink oem coolant, and that is what I recommend .

Buy 2 gallons, keep the extra as spare when you need it.
