I celebrate nigeria independence with mixed feelings!, our leaders made labour of hero be in vain! It's not about building statues and naming streets, after them. I will take you down the memory lane where are leaders had our interest in their heart., but today our leaders only prey on us and subject us to abject poverty.
Nigeria is blessed with natural resources and it's citizens are exceptional good in any sphere they find themselves.our leaders had been the bane of our problem, lopsided appointments, putting square pegs in round holes,tribalism, bigotry, corruption,distorted allocation of scare resources. I weep for my dear country nigeria because we have lost it long ago, abuse of human right has been norm: no freedom of speech!, the government sees constructive critism as hate speech, early this year nigeria economy plunged into recession causing lost of jobs, increase in crime wave, increased standard of living, incessant strike in different sectors.
I have always wondered why our learning institutions are not ranked the best, the unity of my beloved country is threatening because our leaders are not ready to dialogue with the different ethnic group, it's sad to see nigeria economy been monopolized by the elites in the country, prices of good and services keep plummeting at the detriment of the poor man . Assu started the strike passing the baton to national association of resident doctors then to JOHESU bringing the health sector to a halt. The life of the sick are cut short abruptly because of the lackadaisical attitude of our leaders.
I pray the labour of our hero past shall not be in vain, our leaders should do the right thing, pay their workers salary and not divert the resouraces to private use, let all hands be on deck to make our dear country great! I love nigeria, one nation we stand.
