Nigerians don't value their life!, if you had seen an infected bone( osteomylitis and gangrene) . no one would preach to you to visit an orthopedic surgeon.

The rate at which Nigerians loss their life to quacks is is alarming and disheartening. The demise of Barbara nneka, a beauty peagent who died in buttlift surgery calls for concern. In Nigeria there is no value for life. The Doctor that operated on her wasn't licensed to practice in Nigeria. This is so barbaric, unchallant attitude of the health care sector. In sane climes, no medical doctor or registered nurse can practice without writing the qualifying exams of such countries like PLAB, USMLE, NCLEX before practising in such countries. In Nigeria, people are treated like laboratory rats in the hands of foreign Doctors. several hospital have visiting surgeons, foreign nurses working in the some notable private hospitals in Nigeria, no one is interested to know if they are certified to practice in Nigeria. Every surgery has of own risk which is better managed by a certified medical personnel . Nigeria Health care sector needs to wake up from its slumber and do the needful!

JOHESU consists of 5 registered professional trade union and their demand include the following: improve health care financing, emoloyement of additional health professional, upward adjustment of CONHESS, upward review of retirement age from 60 - 65 years, arrears of skipping CONHESS 10. they are not asking for the same salary with the doctors. they want a review of salary structures. if in abroad, doctors dont collect the same salary, neurosurgeons, cardio thoracic surgeons earn more the family medicine doctors but their is comfort.the government should accede to johesu request.

anything worth doing should be done well, why would you waste your time going to school of health technology to study dental technican or pharmacy technician. you can't be at par with the professionals( dentist, pharmacy). who are well knowledgeable. if you are interested in dentistry , apply to universities offering the course and stop looking for short cut if you want be treated as a professional
