ednut1: I’m Agnostic but almost all the Nigerians i know still attend church or mosque. When these daddy GOs and gospel musicians come around its usually sold out. So this talk no follow .
uche87: Osahon George Osayimwen is a UK-based journalist.
Not all Nigerians, so you can modify the title to "some". Until the realization and understanding that this walk with God is a fellowship and not "give me, give me", then it will dawn on many that irrespective of where you are, the fellowship continues.
ruffhandu: Hello people, Please I need some advice. We live in PH, and have 4 kids. The oldest is 10 while the youngest is 6. I give my wife 700k every month, and this includes general upkeep and maintenace and fuelling of our car (Lexus 330). I don't drive the car (I dey leg, while she uses it to run around, which includes school runs and her business).
I no dey chuk eye for her business. Bu I am getting frustrated as she still makes me believe that the money is not enough. I pay electricity bill (band A) and house rent (3m pa) yet every now and then she puts bills on my head. It is driving me crazy.
When I tell her to list out her expenses so I plan with her, she picks offence. I am really tired of the whole thing and don't know how else to approach the issue without causing too much problem. I know some men whose salaries are 250k-300k in PH, yet they are surviving.
blowjohn: I agree completely. At the same time, FG should also make it mandatory that emergency patients also carry money along to the hospital.
I have see many people, both male and female who would rather spend money on alcohol/woman or hair than spend on their health.
I was involved in one recently. This guy, apparently, had gone to flex with a girl he just met and aside the cigarette, weed he smokes, must have taken some other drugs too.
Was leaving a hotel when he stumbled in and immediately lay on the cold floor. He was coming from a hospital where he was asked to pay some amount which he didn't oblige to.
I read the referral letter and noticed his breathing had siezed for about an hour and his SPO2 was 75 percent.
So he need urgent help.
Oya do u have funds? He kept saying he has money in his crypto account. His friend kept trying to make me me attend to him that they will pay later.
I asked him if it's air I'll used to administer salbutamol.
To cut the long story short: these guys had hundreds of thousands hiding somewhere as I discovered the day after. In fact they checked into a hotel of 20k per night the next day.
Case 2: a lady called me to complain about lumps on her breasts. I told her to go see a consultant in a certain hospital. Also told her to take some money , like 30k.
She shouted that it's too much. So I kept quiet. Then I called her back and asked her if she knows anything about breast cancer. She said no. I told her that God forbid the lumps are cancerous, the red Toyota Camry, the house she lives in, and her dry cleaning business will be like nonsense to her.
U see, I think people have a very hard time understanding that money is nonsense when a Heath threat is involved.
U rush to the hospital for help and u cannot pay. For what nw?
As for doctors and nurses who won't attend to emergency cases, they shud be dealt with decisively and the hospital sanctioned.
greens: So after the patient is treated and he refused or can't pay the bill, and 10 patients do it like that, the hospital who will pay staffs and pay for the drog should just forget? Is that how you run your own business?
Stop this comparison. What you pay in the YouKay is also different from Yankee. Different places, different policy, different economy... so stop comparing these things.
Glimpsetv: Just like the popular saying that there's dignity in labor, for a thief, it's not so.
In this short video, a man was caught stealing and was treated to a surprise meal. The community decided to feed the thief with fresh pepper and hot water. The thief can be seen eating the pepper and washing it down with hot water as if he were having bread and tea.
What do you think about this kind of punishment for a thief? Well served or not? Feel free to comment your thoughts below.
Mr Paschal took to social media to seek help from Nigerian allegeing that he’s poor whereas his rich brother is ony generous to outsiders
In his words “I’m A poor Phone Repairer At Alaba International Market Who’s Suffering To Make Ends Meet Whereas I Have An Elder Brother, Cubana Chief Priest, Who’s A Billionaire. He’s Generous To Outsiders, I Pray One Day He’ll Remember Me Too”
udomonday: kids of nowadays don't read, they rather spend time playing games on thier phone.I remember I read all those novels when I was in jss 3.I will just be waiting for break time so I can rush to the library and read novels.
Exactly... going to the school library to read novels in my JSS days... nostalgia
Funnyman: Why should I be more comfortable doing business with companies owned by other nationalities but not Nigerian owned? Why cant our people do business with acceptable standard as obtainable in other societies? Why should Nigerians always see opportunity to cheat others in all their endeavors? TO THE ISSUE, I booked a ticket with wakanow on feb 8, 2024 (my first time ever and a mistake). I paid 911 USD for a round trip from NYC to Lagos. Wakanow issued the ticket but at the time I only wanted to seize the opportunity for the low fare, my travel itinerary was not certain yet, the supposed flight was for April end till may end. By march 1st, it was obvious, I cannot travel by April ending, so I reached out to wakanow to cancel the ticket. Mind you, the ticket I booked was a fully REFUNDABLE TICKET with Royal Air Maroc according to wakanow website before I paid. Wakanow said they will only refund about 800k naira and I will forfeit the rest, mind you I paid in dollars but they want to refund less than half of the money in naira. I agreed that they should go ahead and cancel the ticket and refund me, that was around March 1. Since then I have been messaging wakanow via WhatsApp and mail, they are always telling me they are working on it on WhatsApp while they have stopped replying my mails. Meanwhile, I reached out to Royal air maroc which confirmed I should get in touch with wakanow as my funds are no longer with them. It is almost 3 months I cancelled now and I cant get my money back, I cant book another flight since my funds are now tied down. Why is it so difficult to refund me for almost 3 months when their website says refunds are processed in 2 - 3 weeks? WHY IS WAKANOW TREATING A FELLOW NIGERIAN LIKE THIS? I AM NOW PAYING BACK MONEY WAKANOW STOLE FROM ME TO THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY. WAKANOW IS A THIEVING COMPANY. WAKANOW REFUND MY MONEY. Front page please.
I learnt long time ago never to use agencies in booking. If your itinerary changes, then your ordeal begins. Not just Nigerian travel agencies, even foreign agencies do it. I had an experience with Expedia that left a sour taste. Best advice, book directly from the airline irrespective of the price.
Galay: So guy's please no tribalistic comment on this.
Well I will go first my State Governor is Simi Fubara well he has not done much except for the construction of some roads in the State Over to you guy's
