Spicylate: yea its N50. and am sure it annoyed you when you saw that you can actually walk the distance. so sorry perhaps i could be of help whenever you want to go somewhere and is lost.So annoying.....thanks so much dear |
Spicylate: welcome to abj..As in ehn........i was on APO bridge one day like that going to Sahad store in Area 11.......I saw cab going toward that straight road but just waving their hands down whenever they passed by, i had to take cab there for N250. It was on my way back i asked a friend and he told me i should have just enter one of those cab waving hand and they will drop me at sahad junction for N50 or N100............................. |
Getting a commercial cab in Abuja to take you to where ever you are going to is one funny thing. Forget the fact that there are so many cabs in Abuja and you can always charter one whenever you are going out but when you think of the expense, you might decide to enter normal commercial cab where four will sit at the back, one at the front plus the driver making six in the cab. There are so many places around town that you cant take commercial cab except you charter one privately and the amount to pay depends on your negotiation skill. The funniest thing about this is that when you are coming from outskirt to Town (i.e Airport rd to Wuse,Area 10,Area 1, Secretariat e.t.c), you see different people at different bus stop with different hand sign language depicting where they are going to in town. Sometimes you find this type of situation in town too. I remembered my first day of going out, I told my uncle I wanted to visit someone in Karu that how will I get there….. ”Thats simple now”..he said. “From the express, enter cab going to area 1, then from area 1 u board another bus going to Karu” As a Lagos guy, I believed that should be easy for me…I got to the junction of our estate, I saw so many people at the bus stop, definitely going to different places but one common thing about them was that they all had either one hand sign or the other but I just stood there waiting for a cab to call Area 1, Area 1, Area 1 like I was used to in Lagos. Like play like play, people were reducing at the bus stop, I will just see a cab stop and someone will enter without calling anywhere. I was forced to ask someone after like 30mins how I will see cab to Area 1 and the guy said..”just raised your index finger up or when you see a cab raising it index finger up, that’s Area 1” Have been here for like 30mins and I cant even count how many cab that has passed raising their index finger up…..i was able to find my way to karu that day and I learnt so many other hand signs when I got home that day…………….I was told its different sign when you are going to Wuse, Jabi, Airport Junction, Berger, Area 1, Area 10 etc. Another thing was that, you have to know your bus stop as most times the driver wont even call bus stop except you tell him where you are dropping. This was totally different from what I was use to in Lagos. This days when am at the bus stop and someone ask “pls, how do I get to wuse"…I take my time to explain different hand signs and what their meanings….though its funny being at the bus stop and you see different hands going up and down.

daway: hello house, am a newbie on here. regarding the topic, i applied for the graduate specialist position. what baffles me is that i studied elect/elect engineering in uni and at the just concluded test...i got the code MRK with the 1st 30questions concentrating on more of marketing bla bla bla. am not sure if this is a regular ish with workforce or am just being unlucky as i have little or no idea as regarding marketing.Did u have any marketing/sales work experience? |
No big deal now cos someone was the first to raise the motion in 1953........... http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Enahoro |
spookydee: where una dey sight each otherNa 4 inside sambisa....u wan join us? |

You are sighted too bro |
From experience. ...cut off will be set according to groups.......this will depend on the average score of people in this group and the number of vacant post in each of this department. E.g they cant give the same cut off mark to EN code where the average score is 70 while the average score in MRK is 50. Interview/assessment centre will definitely be the next stage and that can lapse over a month depending on the number of departments (based on our test code). Each department having their interview everyday except if they decided to merge two related departments together...... My assumption is that the conclusion of this recruitment/ resumption of successful candidate might be january next year......I arrived at this assumption based on the fact the result should be expected within the next two weeks after which interview will start (interview likely to be mid october or 3rd week of october)...need to say here that if interview ended in mid november den we should be expecting medical call around december and full resumption to be late december or start of the new year..... I stand to be corrected bt lets keep our fingers crossed as we await our success mail and a successful career with UAC. |
Paparazzi22: In House Info: Workforce has finished Marking the Test, Majority scored high(25 and above). They would soon determine the cut off, compile the names of successful candidiates and send to UAC for the next stage(interview). This should be d normal thing now as there's no news here except ur in house info tell us when d result will b out and exact time we shud b expecting invite 4 interview............. I just hope some peeps wont start asking u 2 help dem check their test score.. ![]() |
190: ehen but you nor dey this section now abi?Hw u take no...always been a silent follower |
190: Who missed meMayb u shud check my profile |
FairAngel: Hey! If you have MRK as your code, I want to confirm the answer to a maths question. I remember the question had to do with 129 women and 171 men asking for the women's percentage to men (or so), the option had 75, 54, 57 I can't remember the last option. If you are sure of this answer pls write the answer. Thanks. The question was, whats the percentage of women to the total number and answer is 43. |
onymodel: Yeah, we thought so together before he typed that...the guy in question is my colleague.Oga becareful ooooo......y u dey cast me now |

I guess my prediction then was correct |
henricson: We don't need questions to be pasted here!Oga, abeg go and do ur test......no pasting of questions dis tym around....its strictly functional base datz most part of it.....just some little numerical which are not that hard but lack of calculator can deter your timing...... The flaw is just that you cant go back to previous questions once u click nxt...... With calmness and accuracy, guess we will scale through lma4real: It is allowed to be done earlier than usual....they r not after the time once u v the slip and Idcard...u r good to goYes, I went in an hour before my time maybe cos not much crowd in abuja here..... With what am seeing, I guess alot of peeps have been eliminated with the first test |
SQLmaster1: Good morning Fellas. I see the moral here is high. I wish everyone success.bro, from experience.......I mean from experience and i stand to be corrected, people don't switch job cos of the pay alone, some intelligent peeps switch cos of the position..i.e getting a higher rank from where you are presently... Why do u think bankers switch from one bank to the other? They will definitely tell u its cos of the high position the other organization offer... For example, someone earning 150k already with a lower position and promotion is not always regular where he is now.....he might decided to take a job offering 120k cos they offer a higher position and the potential of getting promoted to the next level will be higher.....The money might not be much at inception but there will be opportunity for growth and higher career progression............ You can imagine the position you would have attained maybe after spending 5yrs with the new organization and you have been promoted twice within the period.....Now imagine if you decided to further your career with another organization, i bet your colleagues you left when you were earning 150k wouldnt be up to your standard in terms of Salary and position. How do you think they tell you someone only spend 20yrs in an industry and he/she is already the MD/CEO of a multinational? NOT ALL SWITCH OF JOBS ARE FOR MONETARY INCENTIVES RATHER SOME ARE FOR CAREER ADVANCEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT DEPENDING ON YOUR GOALS. |

MarvellousGod: @davide470, why union dey sell their properties?Union Bank is not selling off their properties rather a consortium raised it stake in the Bank........It is worthy to mention that Union Bank is an international bank owned by the following Rank Name of Owner Percentage Ownership 1 Union Global Partners Limited 63.57 2 Other Investors 15.36 3 Asset Management Company of Nigeria 21.08 Total 100.00 Union Global Partners Limited is a consortium of financial institutions that include the following: (a) ACA Holdings Limited (b) ACA Managed Fund (c) Netherlands Development Finance Company (d) Standard Chartered Private Equity (e) Auctor Capital (f) Carlye Capital of Washington DC (g) High Vistar (h) The Keffi Group VIII LLC ( Keffi Group, JC Flowers, BGI) (i) ABC Holdings Limited of Botswana and (j) Discovery Group of Connecticut, United States of America. Atlas Mara today (05/09/2014) is buying additional 20.9 out of 21.08 percent stake from Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (Amcon). What this means that Union Bank is almost fully owned private international commercial bank |
It is the old dilemma: what do you do when there's a big football match on but you've been invited to a wedding at the same time? Sneak a radio into the service to keep up with the action, or behave with dignity and enjoy the couple's big day? Were you invited to this Kenyan couple's wedding, however, one suspects you would not have to make the tricky decision. The bride and groom decided to theme their wedding around Manchester United, with everything from their clothes to the wedding cake featuring Red Devils branding. As revealed by Africa Gossip News, the groom wore a United replica kit for the nuptials, and while his bride looks rather unamused at his choice in one wedding photo, a quick glance an another photo reveals the couple are United in their support. While the bride is wearing a traditional white dress, she can also be seen with a red flower in her hair and so sports the club's colours. Just for good measure the groom has 'just married' printed on the back of his kit. The cake is decorated with red icing plus several Chevrolet logos in a nod to the club's home kit for the 2013-14 season. The wedding car appears to be one part of the wedding that escapes the United treatment, but a closer look at the silver Mercedes shows that it is also decorated with red and white flowers. There is also a large United flag draped over the rear window. Let's hope the marriage is a match made in heaven, like when Sir Alex Ferguson joined the club, and does not end in a quick divorce, such as when David Moyes took over last season. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2744723/Manchester-United-mad-couple-enjoy-themed-wedding-Kenya.html

FaithYetu: Wow! Interesting!! I just got my test reschedule for 13th September. Is well ooooooo.lol...same here |
FaithYetu: I'd suggest u come to the venue and explain to them, they sh'd allow u write. The address is Plot 1288 Ahmadu bello way, Garki Area 11, Beside, Beside GTBank, shad store Junction, Abuja. Am also writing there on saturday by 9am.so, u have d same centre with moi and d same tym |
samuelson06: I don't know if the bank can give him the person's phone number. If a man, it easy to track him down using a woman. But then again, location matters here.give him a customers phone number? datz a bit impossible |
eluquenson: Your case is pure negligence coupled with a bad internet banking app. lucarella: Mods please bear with me, I'm too upset that I don't know where to place this.Thats it...... There's no way you can convince your bank that the mistake is not yours but you can still get your money. Gtbank doesnt have access/control over firstbank customers/accounts for them to be able to refund you....the money is gone already and the only way u can get it back is if lien is place on the beneficiary account so that whenever money comes into the account (which I doubt depending on the kind of person)....they transfer it back to you. walk into your account holding branch or any branch if yours is not close by, request for your statement, you will see d details of the transfer including the account number of the beneficiary...make a formal complain and do a follow up on it......you will get ur money but it solely depend on the integrity of the beneficiary who u mistakingly transfer the money to and not Gtbank or firstbank...... Goodluck bro |
