Gobi38: @ Saga - Na canadian oyinbo lady called am. The Lady called her on the 3rd of December to pay her school fees ASAP and report back with proof of payment. Fees/accommodation were paid on the 7th, she submitted proof of payment on the 1oth in the morning. Same lady called her again in the afternoon - she is waiting for proof of payment. My sister went back to the embassy on the 11th, luckily we was allowed in, she met the lady and she confirmed every thing is ok, they have received proof to payment.

@ mercylicious - Her refusa letter is the normal letter folks that don't make it to medical stage gets.... Reason as follows : 1 .Your travel History , 2. Family ties . 3. Purpose of visit etc.

My quesiton why invite her for medical, call her to pay school fees, make a second call "we are still waiting for proof of fees payment" - This is big shocker for me. My poeple until you get visa for your hand - just keep praying for FAVOR.

All TRV/MEDICAL awaitees, patience. spoke with d guy at the vfs office and he said they will still issue trv's from thursday, after the 26th.

Siga: ...there is no job u cant do....once u get it, u can pretty much apply to any job....no limitations....but some employers might not want to employ u as ur work permit is temporary and that means once u go back to classes, ur work hours will go down to 20hrs a week and if the permit is not renewed, the job is vacant....so, to answer ur question....no job limitations

Robbie37: Dude/ my brother no be like that! Y u quickly jump to conclusion and paint me as a leach? Well I am truly sorry if u were hurt. Truth is I just started reading these posts few days ago, I work sunday to sunday e no easy to find time to browse self so i am truly new here didnt start reading posts till days after my medicals. So I pledge to answer any questions and support the community.

Siga: ...sorry to come in...just feel I need to advise abit....with rentals....they come at times with 1yr lease and u need to pay first and last months rent....thats the way it is....u can present the receipt of the rent to the embassy and have ur landlord mail u and copy the embassy the info...thats if he/she is willing to do that....now, with the school accommodation been closed....have the school write you a mail stating what you just said or go on the school website and print the page that states the on-campus accomodation booking timeline....I hope this helps....another option is to call the school international office, ask for the student union leader and plead ur case...u will be suprised he might connect u to a Nigerian student who is willing to help....

earthgreeners: Warning: Do not negotiate off campus accomodation until you get to Canada or you have someone out there that can check it out on ur behalf.. Check with the Residence Office or the international Office @ your university for more info on On Campus and off campus accomodations.

At the point, I suggest you go for On campus accomodation which u can opt out after few months of ur stay to an Off campus accomodation.

If your school dont have accomodation, u can present a letter to CDHC informing them of ur concern on Off-campus accomodation. In this case you can have your school verify the fact that there are no On Campus residence.

bholajee: @lft and @Sensei Siga abeg i was told to pay 1 year's tuition and board so i intend on paying for a term and write a letter to CHDC stating i don't want to stay on campus for the entire duration. abeg can you guyz give me an idea on how the letter to CDHC should look like. maybe a sample. Thanxx
