You don't know what economics entails, that's why you find it weird that they work in business and accounting fields. Economics covers all those professions you listed, it's a super discipline that cuts across various sectors...

An economist by virtue of the content of his degree can work as an accountant, business analyst, salesman and various fields in finance they're all related to the degree...

Check a typical economics degree curriculum and see the courses they take, apart from micro/macroeconomics, most of their courses are statistics, business management, finance and accounting.

You do realize that accounting is a professional discipline, right? Anyone could learn the accounting craft and be called an accountant but you do need a recognised charter to be a professional accountant. So, an economist without such charter cannot be a professional accountant. That said, economics does not cover accounting. Maybe the financial parts of it, but not the whole field. I admire economists though

Why do we have upsets and so on? Won't the same be applicable to LG elections if conducted by INEC, as opposed to the current sham being paraded as LG elections? As a matter of fact, electoral independence is a fundamental prerequisite for this LG to work.
