Visa Alert,

I just want to thank everyone one that assisted me on my journey. I really appreciate. I also want to use this medium to encourage the newbies. Just have faith, be prayerful, ask questions, no matter how stupid it seems to you.

Biometrics 10th September 2021
Ikeja TLS Center.
Collection mail: 27th Sept 2021
Received via DHL: 28th Sept 2021.
Priority took 11days . The wait was crazy.
But God has decreed that I will carry my Evidence.

Kemifaj:
Hello house, please I'm in a dilema and state of confusion right now and I need sound advise from experienced people here.

Me and my family supposed to travel two weeks ago but our covid 19 PCR test came out positive.

Though me and my spouse had malaria +1 and we are on malaria drugs and antibiotics given to us from hospital when we go for the test.
We have completed our Isolation and we have no symptoms whatsoever but when reading about retest online I came across a piece that said you can still test positive for covid 19 for up to 9 weeks even after recovery.

I want to go for another test this week and I'm scared.

For those that have gone through this kind of experience in the past, how did you do it?

Is there a kind of waiver for people who tested positive and recovered recently?

Is there another type of less sensitive covid test that is meant for people in this category and also acceptable by airline operators?

I look forward to your valuable advice.

Hello,
You could opt to do Antigen test, it's a less accurate test for COVID-19. But some persons use it to check their status before they do PCR test because it is Cheaper when compared to PCR test. If your results comes out negative, you have a high chance of getting a Negative PCR results. Mind you, PCR test could still come out Positive.
You will need to have a negative result before you can travel. You need to clarify if Antigen result is accepted for Travel. The widely accepted test is PCR test.

In some countries (Lebanon) if you recently recovered from Covid- 19, you might not need to do another pre- departure PCR test. You will need a letter from your doctor confirming your claim and status as at when you were discharged. All results will be attached to the Letter. This could be used. But to avoid too much explanations. You could just do another PCR test.

As for Covid 19 Recovery. It's based on individual response to the virus. But most people recover within 5- 14days.

Wishing you Full recovery.

Thank you very much for your response. Really appreciate.

perisabc:
1. No need to write IELTS since you were issued an unconditional offer with your NECO.
2. It has nothing to do with it..
Above all, present docs stated in your CAS along with your Intl Passport, TB cert, and POF.

Thank you very much for your response. It's
such a relief. My Irish refusal was not because of immigration Offense. Thanks

Cyberknight:

You dont need to take IELTS.
As long as you declare the Irish refusal and any others in the proper place on the visa form and the refusals were not for immigration offences, you will have no problems getting a UK student visa.

Good Day Dear Fam.

Please I have been following this thread, and it's very informative.I got an unconditional Offer Last Year with Cardiff but due to covid, I didn't proceed, so I deferred my admission. I would like to proceed with my admission this year Sept 2021. But before I make any payments to school for CAS, TB etc. I need some advise please.

1. I got admitted with Neco results and English proficiency from my University, I dont ve WAEC. Would I need to write IELTS for Visa application?

2. I'm particularly scared as I got a student Visa refusal from Ireland and one of the reasons written was I didn't submit an IELTS results even though I presented my Neco and English Language Proficiency from University to the Ireland Embassy. Would this affect UK visa application/ decision ?

Kindly Advise,

@justwise, and all the Guru in house

Thanks
