Hi Guys! I am hoping to submit application for UK tier 4 visa with my wife as a dependant partner. My school resumes on September 21. The challenge is that I want to apply for a study leave in my place of work which I should do at least one month in advance. And my wife's proof of funds won't mature until Aug 29 (28days counting). Could there be any issue if I apply for my visa now and my wife applies in a month's time? We intend to travel together by Sep 16th.

there is no issue. as long as she applies six months beforr your course ends...

this month of august will augur well for each and everyone here expecting good news

from my msc experience years back, they asked on the area i am going to study. what i know abt it and also questions on my modules.. so be informed on the closeet airport to where u r going and also be informed on some of the modules you are going to be studying... why u chose the school also

will anyone be willing to give in this hard times how dod u get a CAS wothout the schl asking for ur statement cuz i am aware most schools ask for balance before ossuing CAS? the option i know of will be to defer till january or next yr sept

Ehya, u wud ve used Oanda rate, guess u can still use the rate and print it out na. Justwise has said we shudnt worry abt if the fx fluctuation affects the money bfr d 28days gets complete so far we input the complete money required. Abi wat do u think? @elope

oanda was below 400 and i put more than 400. im mot worried any longer. im waiting for your testimony.

just did am approx. to 400 as at then... twas around 370. i didnt bother checking oanda

On the Oanda site, there is a calendar right underneath the place where you Normally chose the currency you want. Check it very well, you will see it.

You can be able to check the rates of any particular date or month you want. Just input the date and the month and you will see the rates of that particular day.

You are permitted to submit even 5 statements but the site says that they would only use the account that has the highest money in it.

You submitted multiple statements did not mean they used both. They most likely used just one.

And I am talking of the person him/herself applying for Tier4 visa. Multiple accounts can be submitted but only one will be considered. It is written on their site.

When I did my own tier 4 visa also, I submitted 2 account statements but I am very sure they only used one. They never added anything together.

yh they do. that was what i used for application for my visa and was given. they look at the summary

I just called Diamond bank, and they told me it should not take more than 24 to 72 hours. tuesday will make it 2 weeks since I started with stanbic. at this point, I am confused, because stanbic also told me the same thing that it would be ready in 24 to 48 hours when I started with them.

should I stick with stanbic and be patient or go to diamond bank is the question here?

no harm in trying dbn.. its totally up to u on what you want to do. personally, I'm not a very patient person but if the bankers told u that amd they are certaon, while not give it a trial

There has to be an economic crisis fr it to crash that low thats what happened during brexit thats why i was asking if i could apply today cos even if it would drop it wouldnt drop at most by 10 Naira so every day counts

I transferred my funds into my account in the night on the 1st of July do i strt counting from the 1st or the 2nd of july does today the 28th make it 28 days or tomorrow the 29th everyday counts right now cos pound is 404 to a naira

you know it could mean that the people my agent said used keystone and diamond bank to do their form A in 3 days are just connected, and it could take far longer if those banks are actually used. so my advice is do your research before dropping your money.
the sad thing is before dropping my money with stanbic, they were like

"It may not even take up to that 2 weeks you are saying, it can be paid in 24 to 48 hours, everything is subject to availability of FX, and stanbic is one of the best with respect to FX, i think the last time, we got about $60million usd from CBN, don't be worried, you have nothing to be afraid of"

After applying for the form A I have been asking when payment would be made, but every staff say:

"I am sorry, I can't advice you on that. your Form A is subject to avalability of FX, and once it is available, I am sure your payment would be made"

before dropping my money, they were all my friends trying to convince me not to take my money to another bank, but now that I stuck with them, they give me the "YOU ARE DISTURBING US" Attitude whenever I go to the bank. SO SAD

Okay, I will let you know. I heard keystone and Diamond bank are the banks to use for those in Abuja, as some students were able to get theirs in 3 days, my University (Northumbria University) agent also said they might have used their connections though, but it took them 3 days. Today, I decided to call stanbic ibtc head office it Lagos, and someone in the form a department took my details saying he would get back to me today (lol... I told him I would stop banking with them), but also said there is shortage of FX. I hope he calls back with good news. the maitama office in Abuja were I initiated the form a have been telling me it is at the last stage since last week wednesday. I heard form a from all branches have to pass through the hea
d office. so i am just thinking it might make more sense to apply through the head office (although the bankers will tell you, they only need to e-mail head office, so there is no difference.)

the new policy that started last mnth na... the one that made banks to stop processing form A

The problem now is at d end of d 28days, what you have in ur account must tally with exchange rate that period. The problem now is even if u print out ur statement of account after the 28days, you still have to wait for your CAS before you apply for visa. So you still have to tackle dat too.

i used diamond bank form A and was debited a week after.. u might wanna try any of those listed banks on the new forex policy
