Yes, that Jesulowo actually shattered my record in GNS (English). I never got below 76 until he taught us. I got the highest with 56, imagine that? And for Agoro, he taught me Intro to Newswriting and Investigative Journalism at the ND level. As for Elder, he made me his friend because I scored 20/30 in his CA, the score he said nobody had ever got before my arrival. Do you still remember Iya re-runner?
aaamos:

u make me remind ADESEUN OGUNDOYIN CAMPUS, i also did my ND there, i studied buz Admin
i can remind u some Mass com lectural like Agoro, Jesulowo, Elder etc
Education / Re: University Of Ibadan 2015/16 Applicants by elpapanoble: 6:41pm On Oct 05, 2015
I studied Mass Comm there too(at the then Adeseun Ogundoyin Campus [Eruwa]). It was really fun there, but to leave with even an upper credit is not easy. Some would think Poly is a cake, but you will get to know how tough it is when you get there. I was offered Philosophy at OAU then, but I opted for Mass Comm at the Poly Ibadan. You are going to take a Physics-like course, which involves calculations and some other courses that you have to calculate in.I am sure if you are devoted to your studies, you will have no problem there.

While ppl re busy awaiting cut-off marks and exchanging derogatory words, i was busy haggling on the prices of rams I wanted to buy. If I had no certificate already, the waiting would have made one slumps. I am only looking forward to seeing what the cut-off marks would look like.

This is stale news.
Adesoba5:

The University of Ibadan on Tuesday released its post-UTME results for the 2015/2016 session, warning that admission would be keen because of low quota admission given to the institution by the National Universities Commission.

Out of the 8,992 that scored above 50 per cent, the school can only accommodate 3,700.

While announcing the result, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Isaac Adewole, who was represented by the school’s Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Prof. Emilolorun Ayelari, said a total of 19,268 sat for the examination while 8,992 scored above 50 per cent.

“In UI, only candidates that scored over 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination were invited for the post-UTME test. 20,800 applied but 19,268 candidates took part in the examination. A total of 8,992 candidates scored above 50 marks, representing 46.7 per cent of the candidates. This is lower than the 67.7 per cent that was recorded last year,” he said.

Ayelari added that the cut off point for Medicine and Surgery was 80 last year because many candidates scored high marks.

“For that year, our total quota for the course was 150 including those who applied for direct entry. Our admission policy in UI was reviewed to ensure that the best candidates are admitted. In the last few years since we started the post-UTME, withdrawal rate at the end of first year has reduced greatly.

“Our admission quota is 3,700. That means we can only pick the best. We cannot admit someone who scored 65 when there are candidates who scored 75. We appeal to the public not to push pressure on our members of staff. There is no course that is bad in a university; there is market for bright students in any course. Last year, the cut off point for Economics was 73, this year, it will be higher. In Law, 278 candidates scored 70 and above and the highest score is 86 per cent. The quota is around 150 including direct entry candidates.”

The institution also announced that five candidates who scored the highest marks would be offered full scholarship by the school.

“This year, the highest score is 86 marks scored by Adetunji Adebowale and Amaji Charles. Adebiyi Toluwalogo scored 85 marks while Dorcas Odunayo and Olowosulu Olawumi scored 83. These five will enjoy full UI scholarship,” Ayelari said.

PPT is preferable for me. I stopped believing in the scores JAMB gives to candidates the day she started CBT.
samneutron1:
Everybody complaining about their scores including me,is not our fault but u.i fault imagine d 1st university and also claiming the accolade of the best university using PPT old way of doing exam, and everybody knows p.p.t can't be perfect

With 70 for CLA, I think I am good to go. I wasn't expecting 70 at all, but because I was not a crying baby like some, I refused to come here and say 'UI has not been fair with their marking'. I don't cry over spilt milk and am not looking forward to witnessing any upgrade of my score.
TaoBalinga:

toor , motigbo ooo.
Ur score will upgrade too niyen,
Education / Re: University Of Ibadan 2015/16 Applicants by elpapanoble: 9:37pm On Sep 18, 2015
I'm not saying it's true, and at the same time, I am not saying it's impossible. It happened in 2008 with JAMB. The statistics had been given before JAMB started upgrading candidates' results. The fault then was attributed to the system.
TaoBalinga:

tell them oo.. Some people go dey hope rubbish,

Education / Re: University Of Ibadan 2015/16 Applicants by elpapanoble: 8:56am On Sep 17, 2015
You spoke the truth. My guy studying CLA just called me that the failure this year is massive. He even said it was to weed out as many aspirants as possible. From my observation, when the number of candidates that chooses UI increases, mass failure is accompanied by it.
NifemiCares:
With the results I have been hearing, general scores this year have been pretty lower than that of last year.I am of the "opinion" that this year's cut off mark will be lower.....
I hope U.I releases the Departmental Cut offs so we can confirm our speculation. ...
