A Russian saw me in my office and
said where are you from , i said am
from the greatest country in the
world. He looked at me with a very
strange look and said let me guess
u are from Nigeria , i said yes. Out
of curiosity he said considering
whats happening in your country
now why would you say shes the
best in the world and i asked him
to sit down and let me tell him
what he and most people dont not
know about Great Nigeria and i
told him these.......
1. Are you aware that all over the
world Nigerians are setting the
pace and becoming the standard by
which others measure themselves?
Do you know??
2. In the US, Nigerians are the most
educated immigrant community.
Type it into Google and you’ll see it.
Not one of the most educated, the
most educated.
3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have
college degrees. This is far above
the American national average of
30%.
4. Nigerians in US are one of the
highest earners, typically
earning 25% more than the
median US income of $53k.
5. In Ivy League schools in Europe
and America, Nigerians routinely
outperform their peers from other
nations.
6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon
family, have officially been named
the smartest family in the UK.
7. The designer of the famous car,
Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a
super
talented Nigerian from Sokoto
State.
8. The World’s fastest
supercomputer was designed by a
world renowned inventor and
scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-
blown Nigerian whose pat ency
was awarded in 2015. This means
Nigeria has the pat ency to the
world’s fastest computer: a
Nigerian.
9. The wealthiest Black man and
woman on earth are
Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs.
Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no
trace of criminal record of any kind.
10. South Africa couldn’t have
ended apartheid & achieved Black
rule if not for
the leadership role Nigeria played.
11. Of the 3 South African
Presidents who ruled after
apartheid, two of them once
lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both
Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo
Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before
becoming President
of South Africa.
We gave financial support, human
support, boycotted an Olympics
and our politicians, musicians and
activists campaigned relentlessly.
12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion
and lost hundreds of soldiers to
end the wars in both Liberia and
Sierra
Leone which the world ignored
because they have no oil.
13. When there was a coup in São
Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria
restored the
elected President back to power.
14. Before there were street lights
in European cities, ancient Benin
kingdom
had street lights fueled by palm oil.
15. 500 years ago, Benin casted
metal alloys to create magnificent
art including the world famous
Queen Ida Mask.
16. Amina was a warrior queen
who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna
state,
Northwestern Nigeria 400 years
ago in 1610. Google and see what
she means to
Africa.
17. We gave monetary gifts to
Ireland during our oil boom and
built a statue for France free of
charge. We are not poor blacks.
Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to.
18. The first television station in
Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long
before
Ireland has their RTE station.........
Wherever you look in this great
country, Nigeria, heroes abound
both now and in our recent and
ancient past. If all you do is listen
to mainstream Western media,
you’ll not get the full & true picture
of your Nigerian heritage.
Do not listen to any leader who
says Nigerians are criminals, no
matter who he
is, or his height and position.
We’re not a nation of scammers,
drugs & corruption, but a people
with a verifiable track record of
greatness........
Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera
and western media will not tell you
about Nigerians:
19. On the 7th of May, 2016 at
Howard University in Washington
D.C history was
made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor
of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of
them were
Nigerians and out of 27 awards
given, 16 went to Nigerians. The
entire world still envies our
uniqueness as a NATION, living
together despite our ethnic
diversity. One single country with
over 400 languages. They will only
tell you how Nigerians are
scammers and cheats, how
Nigerians are into drugs overseas. If
you don’t blow your trumpet, no
one will blow it for you.
VIVA NAIJA!!!
20. There are over 180,000,000
Nigerians world over and only
about 250,000 of this figure have
traceable criminal records. This is
about 0.14% of our entire national
population in the last 20 years:
nothing close to 1%. Shame on
global
media.
21. Nigeria took care of Ebola with
no help from other countries. US
have send delegates to Nigeria to
know how we did it with our own
resources.
Listen Nigeria, don't let anybody
woo you into believing that you
are a criminal just because you are
a Nigerian.
Nigerians are NOT criminals. You
are NOT a criminal.
You are topnotch; second to none
around the world.
I am proud am created a Nigerian,
thank you God. Be proud of Nigeria
wherever you go. Take out your
Passport with pride. He couldnt talk
and just walked away. Am proud to
be a Nigerian and be from that
country.... God bless Federal
Republic Of Great Nigeria.
Be proud of your country like I do.

all Nigerians see it! |
BonPatrick:well, for me, the man is trying his best, we only hope he puts more effort........ A man that can Pay workers without receiving FG allocation(did it for 3 months), while someothers still owe workers even when they already received their share of the oil money, he even pays extra salary as xmas gift to workers, 13 months a year instead of the normal 12 months, and that's apart from the lottery and empowerment he set up for the benefit of non-government workers. Bro, we can't jump from grace to grass cuz of greed, good governance is very rare in obodo Naija |
midnighter:well that's right, every one wants what's best, but when there is nothing close to the best, we will have to accept the better one........ Apc won't do any better, rather they will be worse, Eze as a senator never contributed shi shi to Nsk, imagine when he becomes a governor?? Teachers would definitely go hungry. So let's enjoy the one we have now until we see someone better than him. He's trying and we hope he improves |
BonPatrick:guy, why are you lying now?? So from new road through the 2 lane road from Opi junction to Enugu road and then University road plus the one lane road from Odenigbo junction to Offulonu junction and then Barracks junction with street lights in all is just one road abi Park well oo, that man is working |
apelike1:and here you are judging the Catholics, do you even think you are half their standard?? The Catholic church is the only church I've not seen any form of deception in, together with the Anglican, so don't judge what you know nothing about and about speaking in tongues? Yes they do speak, alot and it's genuine, #catholic_charismatic_renewal |
Philinho:pure lie, i don't know why some Christians decide to paint the main Christian belief with lies, now tell me, where is that verified in the bible?? The truth is, whether you speak in tongues or not, if you are worthy in God's sight, if you are clean enough to be granted a listening ear, if you are looked upon and granted mercy, the lord would always receive your prayers. Choi, this is what i call extreme jealousy, any small thing they tag igbos, is this how much you guys jealous us? @deomelo anytime i read your comment, i can't help but notice the amount of jealousy you have for us the igbos, maybe cause we are simply the most successful . But i tell you one thing, only lazy men exhibit such amount of jealousy for they lack the strength to hustle and become like their counterpart. Deal with it ![]() |
Lolz, new generation virgins, or should i say self servicers?? Too many girls are just bunch of hypocrites, you claim to be a virgin, boast with it while you self service behind doors, now tell me, who are you deceiving Are you protecting the hymen?? Or your believe?? If you want to remain celibate, good and fine, but not to come online and boast that being a virgin now makes you a "CITIZEN", in other words, a saint?? Lmao, well, for me, i don't give a Bleep, "who virginity epp?" it won't place food on my table, rather will it support my household, meanwhile, it's never a pass mark to heaven. All i look at is ones good personality, and only that determines a good woman. For me, i need a good wife and not a virgin wife. Peace |
TIGRITIS:i guess you don't know the meaning of foolishness :/ , because if you do, you wouldn't be exhibiting such at this rate, i mean, this is social media for Christ sake, even if your second name in is foolishness reality, you should atleast act a bit rational online. There are way too many people watching you. How on earth did you know she's igbo?? Did she speak igbo? Even if she did, did she ever say she's from the igbo tribe?? She might even be an hausa for Christ sake :x , well, like i said, try and curb your foolishness before it lands you in Yaba left ![]() |
Jealousy, the act of being jealous. Going through all the ethnic related post here in NL, i noticed one thing, something that has eaten so much into some tribes that when ever they hear "IGBO" they want to come up withsomething against us, something that has made them express what might be mistaken to be hate, but they still wouldn't let us go, something that would make them prefer backwardness rather than enjoyment. That thing is what i call jealousy, and until you deliver your selves from that bondage, never you dream of being successful like the igbos. Note this; We are igbos because we don't give a Bleep about your thoughts, we are igbos because we prosper everywhere we go, we are igbos because no matter the amount of neglect and tongue lashing we receive from you or the government, we would still lead the economy, and finally, we are IGBOS because your jealousy would never stop us from being IGBOS...... Peace be with you |
ceejee:its just as if u already know what i planned to reply that guy, let him get that into his skull, whether the Govt remembers us or not, survival is still sure for us, we igbos are hard working and not lazy, we depend on our own self, and that is why we are called, IGBOIDS |
Cholls:my people, stretch forth your hands let us pray for the deliverance of our humble brother cholls, this his post is getting out of hand |
Wow,
you are the bomb,
nice story with a nice ending,
thanks for this wonderful piece |
Is civil engineering not even better than computer science/ computer engineering ??........ I mean, road side computer scientists are now doing better than those that studied it in school, you should understand that most Nigerian Universities are yet to improve on some courses, Ict still teaching act of programming using Java when 10 year olds now play with java......hilarious |
Wow, man, you almost made me cry, you are one of the best writers I've seen here in Nairaland, may God shower his blessing upon you and bless the works of your hand, Amen. Now, lessons i learnt..... Darous as we all know has always been the victim from onset, he deserved a happy ending but then, he never let go off lies, and that was his major mistake. i learnt that no matter what the case might be, no matter what the situation is, always say the truth for lies would only get you into a deeper mess. Countless deserves a continuation, i think darous is about to journey into a new era.... Who's with me?? #team_countless |
it's so annoying seeing how people beg to remain in bondage, the buhari you are supporting, where has he taken you to?? The country economy is now backsliding, security is nothing to write home about, democracy is dying slowly and people's rights are being violated every day, and here you are supporting the man behind all this, just cuz of some ethnic bigotry, well, i don't blame you, i think your not on your right senses |
Park well oo, that man is working
