Apart from Junior & Pretty, a couple of other MCs have contributed immensely in the Nigerian hiphop industry to make it what it is today. It's obvious that the list is endless, so I won't bother mentioning names. But one of such people today, is Terry Tha Rapman, and he'll be sharing with us briefly what the journey for him has been like so far. Plus check out Terry's new single with MoCheddah off the forthcoming "BOYZ ARE NOT SMILING" album (Track produced by E-twinz). ANTICIPATED NIGERIAN HIPHOP ALBUMS 2010 AFRICAN AMERICAN - Saucekid I once asked Saucekid aka Sinzu Sinzu aka the self-acclaimed African Ambassador of Rap music what "Sinzu" meant, and he said "Sinzu is just like indomie spice" (lol, WTF?). That's by the way though. After dropping a couple of singles such as "Distribution", "Na Me Be Fine Boi" and "Under G", Saucekid is set to take us back to his AFRICAN AMERICAN roots with his forthcoming album (duh?, bros we all know that you're Nigerian even with the American accent and all. I mean, your attitude tells it all, lol). His album drops 30th July 2010. Album release party holds at Rehab, Victoria Island, Lagos. BOYZ ARE NOT SMILING - Terry Tha Rapman The album title "Boyz Are Not Smiling" is fast becoming a popular slogan in Nigeria already, especially among the youths. And for the records, "Sample Remix" off the album by Terry Tha Rapman, which featured Stereoman and Pherowshuz won the best rap single at the just concluded HipHop World Awards 2010. Guest appearances on "Boyz Are Not Smiling" include M.I, Mo'Cheddah, Fecko, Sound Sultan, Pherowshuz, Terry G, CartiAir, MiekHarry, Kefee, Osagz et al. Production credits also include; Jay Sleek, Ex-O, E-twinz, Pherowshuz, Kraft etc. The album will be released in August under the stable of MegaPhunk Records. MI2 - M.I (Mister Incredible) Most of y'all will agree with me that this talented young man who returned from the BET Awards a while back - where he represented Africa and also got pissed off by WALE, had the most anticipated Rap album in 2008. It's no longer news that Kelly Hansome of "Maga Don Pay" fame has been taking several shots at M.I and his entourage. Apparently, it seems M.I pays more primacy on replying diss tracks these days just like Ruggedman (As in, listen to tracks such as "Somebody Wants To Die", "Nobody" featuring 2face, "Nobody Test Me" by Jesse Jagz, and you'll understand what I mean). We advice he ignores all the hate out there, and concentrate more on making good music (which he's pretty good at doing anyway), and he should also address other more important issues. However, Jude Abaga aka Mister Incredible literally has what it takes to storm the African rap industry for the umpteenth time. THE PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE - A-Q Controversial Lagos-bred Rapper, A-Q, is also on our list. His new single "Names",which took shots at Jesse Jagz, Ruggedman and co. is already steering up a lot of controversy in the Nigerian music industry. I wonder what will happen when he eventually drops his full album and the remix of the same song "Names", which featured Iceberg Slim & Pherowshuz. (lol, I'll leave that to your imagination). RT eldee:@eldee: dude that's your opinion, i don talk my own. period! **I had to retweet, since it's hard for you to get my drift** |
Nicki is lyrically crazier than the 'Gaga' one. But she can't eF with Lady Gaga when it comes to acting schizophrenic on set. Trust me! ![]() |
@eldee, dude that's your opinion, i don talk my own. period! |
Honestly Nigerian's are the hardest people to please in West Africa, matter of fact, in the entire globe! WTF?! You ladies can ask Mola OG & Ovie, they'll tell y'all that this video is Not-just-ok! By the way, y'all should look out for the official video for "Rhyme Tight". I guess all these Nigel Benn haters will stop making noise by the time it drops. The lightening and camera angles were crazy, and of course, Clarence Peters directed it. Imagine Illbliss playing Notorious B.I.G on set with a baseball bat. Hmm, nuff said! |
rapjunkie:Word is bond! Boyz are not smiling! ![]() |
04kaa:The video was shot by IGHO. My bad, don't have his contact now, but you can still google him on Facebook or Twitter! |
@Rapjunkie: I agree with you bro - Mo Cheddah is growing up now, what should one expect? By the way, do you think the shinny suit thingy worked for Modey in the video? In my opinion, I think he was literally buried in the suit. Lol. Just saying! |
Nice track, there! DaGrin we got you bro. |
NICKI + MINAJ = LADY GAGA (Almighty Formula ) loli.e **They both share the same degree of awkwardness and celeb publicity stunts that I find hard to comprehend** |
