SOMEBODY HELP!!!

I am urgently in need of the nairalanders' assistance.
Please, there has been conflicting information as regards the recommended texts to be read for Literature-in-English in the imminent JAMB exam. I want to confirm the accuracy of these reports.
According to some sites, the 'texts' correspond with the last years' while a number of other sites keep to using the penulmate ones. The 'texts' are not by any means relevant to the previous years' as related by myschool.com.ng... This, I must say, has created indecisive conclusion as to the ones with which to stick for the coming exam. Pls, somebody help!!!

Drama
African: Harvest of Corruption
Non-African: Othello

Prose
African: (i) Faceless (ii) Lonely Days
Non-African: Native Son

Poetry
African: Vanity; Ambush; Piano and Drums; They Dining Table; The Panic of Growing Older; The Anvil and the Hammer

Non-African: Crossing the Bar; The Pulley; The School Boy; The Proud Kind

as the widespread information on the 'texts' goes... Pls, how accurate are these

This is the response I do get from the e-portal,whenver I try to login:
Response
Access Denied. Main fees Due = 61700; Amt Paid = .
You are required to pay your Main Fees fully to Request for Accomodation and proceed to Online Screening, and Registration. If you have paid, it is yet to be confirmed by Bank''.

is this what you always get as a response?
There hasnt been any difference in the response we all get from the eportal.

I sense iota of truth in what you posted, but if by friday there is no development,I will go on monday. Your post suits the informations have gathered so far. Where do you stay,if I may ask.
I live in Ede. And made my payment at Wema Bank Branch in Ede. Even on d issue, the manager in Ede hv sent me to the manager of their branch on campus. The trip i considered fruitless. The only thing abt which am most concerned is on securing ON-CAMPUS accommodation and I hv sought constructive alternative elsewhere... Meanwhile, i hv got nothing, whatsoever, to worry abt.

Jst droped Ameer call now,he said,I should travel down to campus, that he has made enquiry, and they asked me to come along with the transactions receipts. When you get to campus, ask anybody to direct you to computer centre*INTECU*then locate M15. Gracias!
I hv been to the computer center (M15) several times, all to no avail... Mark my statement. What the woman there will tell you is to go back to the bank at which the payment was made to repost the money for you. An action the bank will describe as 'impossible', claiming that reposting of the already posted money will require another payment. And who is ready to bear that??
I hv paid my last visit to Wema Bank yesterday and the manager showed me a number of affected students who are also waiting patiently to see what the consequence might be.
While I do not discourage ur intention of going to the school, am of the opinion that WE NEED to exercise a lot of patience.
The manager at the bank told me that the problem is btw the school and the banks, and necessary steps are underway to rectify the issue of delay confirmation of our payments. The fact remains that 'MANY students are affected'. Just keep ur evidence of payment well well

at which bank did you make the payments?

3weeks ke? Mine *main fee* will clock a week on thursday, but i'm living no stone unturned to get it confirm.
My payment (main fee) too was made last week Thursday and it is yet to be confirmed. My great concern is over application for bed space. The lastest info i got from bank wen speaking with Wema Bank general manager (oau branch) on phone was that they hv had meeting with the sch management yesterday (over d issue), the outcome of which was to shut down the eportal until all these kinds of problem are solved.
A week ultimatum was then given (by d bank) to find the last solution to the issue of delay confirmation of payments. So, i think we should be patient (thou with little effort we may like to make).

As an indication of honour, students in Awolowo Hall see themselves in the light of the legacies Chief Obafemi Awolowo left behind.
Built in the year 1970 with capacity for 2,032 students

Known to be the most populated, it also has attached to it various activities that depict student’s life. As it neighbours Angola and Mozambique halls, it is a melting pot of students from various halls and it is known as the base for student activities.

Let me, with a considerable degree of detail, elaborate more on this point. This will, in my view, enhance clarity of the subject assumed.

First of all... On your first log on, when eportal opens 'undergraduate login' link for 2014/2015 Harmattan Session, you will be asked to enter your jamb registration number. And then, in the second field, you will be asked to enter your password (that is where you will SET your password (no appropriate payment is necessary to have been made before one creates a password, I mean, on your first time on 'undergraduate login' link) [1. Log on to the University e-portal using your registration number and the password you used last on the portal] *1*...

This logging on will allow you to print ONLY SLIPS with which you will make appropriate payments [Candidates are required to pay appropriate charges as indicated WITH A COPY OF PAYMENT SLIP DOWNLOADED ON OAU E-PORTAL] *2*... The account number to which a student is to pay will be displayed on those slips.

After loggin in, printing of slips, payments of (especially acceptance) fee(s) [Confirmation of admission... shall commence with the payment of acceptance fee of N20,000 (fresh students only)] *3*, you will then have access to 'filling bio-data, course registration forms etc'. [Candidates shall thereafter continue with the registration procedure as detailed out on the eportal]*4*; [The Course Registration Form will only be available upon (a) successful filling of forms (i) and (ii) above... (b) Payment of appropriate charges at the banks]*5*

Payment of Acceptance fee FIRST and then other payments follow [The schedule of OTHER CHARGES for the session is as detailed below...]*6*

There is no way one can pay acceptance fee without having got hold of payment slip with which he/she will make the payment at any designated banks. And there is no way one can print payment slip without having given the liberty of logging on to the eportal. [All screening are to be done on-line]*7*

if you happen to be on campus with your system or Android phone then you can make use of the wireless internet service by connecting it to that of any faculty (arts, social sciences, law, health sciences etc) including the senate too. Accessing the eportal is free as well as downloads and uploads on the same platform.
Sorry bro, just want to know... Is connecting to WiFi on campus free of charge?? Am asking dis because i want to update my Windows 8 to Windows 8.1... Even if not free of charge, I prefer using WiFi to doing data subscription o

sir, bio-data form is different from course registration form. Bio-data form is the form that captures your personal details e.g name, date of birth, home address, etc while course registration form is the one that captures the courses (core, restricted electiv and special electives) you are to take and write their exams in a semester or at the end of the session (LIB and SER001).

You would have access to the course registration form after the payment of all fees. However, you must not rush in the registration of courses as you are expected to fill in (a total maximum of 24 units and a minimum of 15) all your core courses first, followed by one restricted elective (depending on the deparment) and special elective course(s).

It is advisable that you consult a stalite before filling your course registration form.
thanks bro. Dnt mind those admission info websites (My Past Question; My School Gist; Daily School News etc)

it was announced on "http://www.nigeriaschool.com.ng/2015/02/oau-registration-requirements-for-fresh-students.html" that:

7. Bio-data form (Course registration form)

I have been looking forward to more facts like this. Thanks for the elaboration once again bro, in fact, it enhanced clarity
