American singer, Mary J. Blige, who filed for divorce from estranged ex-husband and ex-manager Martin “Kendu” Isaacs, has been ordered to pay him $30,000 a month in temporary spousal support, so as to accommodate the “style of living” Isaacs was accustomed to while he was married to Blige. Though the two have no biological children together, however E! News obtained the documents, which also state the singer must pay him retroactively dating back to September, as well as account for his attorney fees for a total of $235,000. Mary J. Blige filed for divorce from Isaacs in July 2016 after 13 years of marriage. She argued their prenuptial agreement negated spousal support, while Isaacs was originally seeking $129,319 per month. “My success as an entertainer has nothing to do with [Isaacs]. I was successful when I met him and have continued to enjoy success, although there have certainly been ups and downs,” Blige told E!. The Grammy-winning singer also explained that she was in debt as she made no money from the European leg of her recent tour. “[Isaacs] suggests we lived a lavish lifestyle and in fact, we overspent and we are in significant debt,” she stated in the court docs. “We owe millions of dollars in taxes and have significant advances that have to be recouped by record companies.” Blige, 46, also alleged that Isaacs had been misappropriating money — about $420,000 to be exact — for two years when they were together. This purportedly involved “travel charges” for his girlfriend. A source told Us Weekly Blige filed for divorce because her celebrity status went to Isaacs’s head. “Kendu got used to the good life with her and thought he was a star too,” an insider alleged. Blige told Robin Roberts in November; “The breaking point was when I kept asking for respect and to be respected. And it seemed like I was talking to a wall. I just wasn’t getting it back, so if I can’t get respect in the relationship, then I have to move on and save myself.” http://www.lailasblog.com/2017/06/mary-j-blige-ordered-pay-ex-husband-30k-month-spousal-support.html Lalasticlala

Onyido made the call yesterday in Awka, while speaking at the the 2017 edition of Lady Victoria Onyido quiz competition, organised by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, for secondary schools. “The trend is worrisome and not in the best interest of public health. “Such facilities breed crime and criminality; the rate at which such businesses are springing up in all corners calls for concern,” he said. In his speech, Gov. Willie Obiano commended the sponsor and NDLEA for the effective collaboration in the fight against drug abuse in the society. Obiano, who was represented by Prof. Kate Omenugha, Commissioner for Education, said that his administration was committed to quality education that would enhance students’ capacity to compete with their peers the world over. In her interview with Encomium, Nollywood actor, Femi Branch's ex-wife Ibitola revealed what led to the crash of their 10-year-old marriage. This is coming after it was revealed that Femi Branch was set to wed for the third time after separating from Ibitola, the mother of his two children. According to Femi Branch’s ex-wife, apart from being beaten, her story of financial deprivation laced with humongous lies by her actor husband of ten years whom she accused of living a reckless life, sounds unimaginable. Ibitola Branch also told us about her husband’s incarceration in Kirikiri and abandonment for ten months. Here’s the mother of two children’s side of the marital mess… We heard that you and Femi Branch have called it quit. Is it true? Yes, it is What actually happened? I came back from work that day, and he went out as well. I waited till 11 pm and I didn’t see him. I tried calling him on phone when I didn’t see him. He complained that I was screaming, I apologized for screaming and I asked him for his whereabouts. I told him he wouldn’t have gone that long since he wasn’t on location. All he said was that he was coming, he also said I was screaming which I apologised for again. But Femi did not come back to the house till 1am. I was up waiting since he said he was coming. When he came, I went to open the gate and I told his friend that I wouldn’t come down that late again if he comes back late. I was really upset. I asked his friend to warn him because of another time. I added that he should be telling me if he would come home or not because that wasn’t his first time. The next thing Femi said was, “You dey craze.” And I replied the same way. He started bragging, “Do you know who you are talking to? I am Femi Branch,” and he descended on me and started beating me. He was hitting me hard and his friend was trying to stop him. He left me and went upstairs and told me to meet him upstairs. His friend said I shouldn’t go, but where will I go by that time? So I went upstairs. Femi continued beating me and insulting me. His friend tried to intervene again, all these while I never raised my hands against him. You can imagine him with his stature hitting me. His friend said I shouldn’t sleep in the house, so I followed him because he was also a married man with a kid. I slept in his house that night. Was is the name of his friend? I wouldn’t want to drag him into this, it was a close friend of his. Would that be the first time he would be beating you? The truth is, that was the first time. But before then, he had pushed me hard against the bed that I almost hit my head on the wall. That was two years ago. Such things don’t happen without signs, him pushing me the first time and now beating me. It could develop into something else. I have always said I can’t stay in a marriage if the man is beating me, I know I can get killed if it continues. I have risked my life enough in that marriage so I decided to leave. What happened next after moving to his friend’s house? The second day, his younger brother asked me to come over to his own house as he wasn’t happy I was staying in a friend’s house. I moved there and was shuttling between that place and my sister’s house till I could get a place of my own. What were the signs that showed things were getting really bad? The issue is that we women see signs even before marriage. I would like to say that Femi came extremely late on our wedding day. People were already waiting for almost three hours before Femi came and he was not apologetic about it? What exactly happened? I don’t know, but it took him almost three hours before he showed up and he was not remorseful about it. Then, when I got married to him, he has only paid my daughter’s school fees for just one term. My daughter is nine years, that means I am the one who has been responsible for her upkeep. What was his excuse for not being responsible? He made me believe he does not have money. Later on, I heard he goes out and spends money anyhow. He goes to clubs, pops champagne and spends crazily. It was a regular occurrence, people used to call me that he was in one hotel or the other. There was this particular day someone called me that he was in a hotel spending money. That person knew Femi was not responsible at home. All I was trying to do was to patch the marriage and make sure things were fine. You know in the African setting when you are married, you have to endure. Up till this moment that I am talking to you, he doesn’t know how his children are eating or faring. The last time he saw them was January this year. He said they should spend the New Year with him and he returned them empty handed. Was there no time you called him to order? Several times, we spoke severally. He was always saying jobs were not coming, he doesn’t have money. Femi is a successful actor getting lead roles, so why was he irresponsible? It is unfortunate outsiders have a different picture of him. Femi is someone who can be in church speaking in tongues and the next minute he is out with the guys drinking, smoking and womanizing. He acts a lot. He is not the same person at home and outside. Are his parents and siblings aware of this? Funny enough, he has a very wonderful family. They knew about it and spoke with him severally. In fact, his family made me stay this long in the marriage. His family complained and talked to him, they did everything they could. It is only prayer that can change him, Femi lies a lot. Can you give me instances? He would tell me he has gone on location and he would lodge in a hotel, do whatever he likes. There was a time he was part of the crew following Jimi Agbaje during his campaign period. I was in Abeokuta then. After the whole exercise, everybody left the hotel except Femi. He was enjoying himself. One of his colleagues whom I had complained to called me to inform me that he was the only one left in the hotel. It is the same hotel he is indebted to now. He has a case at the Ikeja magistrate court. The story is true that he was locked up in Kirikiri. He is owing the hotel to the tune of millions. What steps did you take about this? I asked, spoke with him and he would always give excuses. It is what Femi wants that he will do. It took him eight months before he came home. When he was arrested, I was in Abeokuta and he was in Lagos. I traveled to Lagos that night to bail him out but I couldn’t bail him that night. That was in November 2015. I did all these for Femi but to him I have done nothing. Where exactly did you guys met? We met in a church in Abeokuta. I thought you guys met in school. I should have said you should have noticed some of these traits in him? No, we never went to the same school. Which school did you attend? Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. What about him, we learnt he graduated from Ife? I don’t know if he graduated or not. You can go to Ife and ask. But you were married for ten years, how come you don’t know? I told you Femi lies a lot. Ask him to produce his certificate. He has lied so much and he will continue to lie, that was what he told me. Is it true that he was married before he met you? Yes, he was married before we met. According to what I heard, the lady didn’t stay up to a month. I was told a funny story about it, I was told the mother in law was to collect cow leg and the lady left. Cow leg, how? I think they were to share a cow and she wanted a particular part of the cow. I dont really know, that was what I was told. Maybe the lady noticed something else. If I have the opportunity to meet her I would ask her. My parents didn’t believe the story as well, we just let things be. Have you heard he wants to get married again? Yes, I have. I was just laughing, and I said, Wow, Femi has caught a big fish. According to what I heard, the lady is British. I said Femi has caught a big one. How would you say such a thing? Because I know Femi, he would only go to women who have money. That means he married you for your money? I am not saying that but before I married him, I do travel out a lot for leisure. When we got talking, he had the idea of the type of life l lived before meeting him. Maybe he felt I had money or that I had a British citizenship. I was even pregnant before we got married but the baby was still birth. Immediately it happened, I traveled abroad to rest. Good for the lady, I pray they find happiness together. But there must be more to why Femi wants to marry that lady. I am not granting this interview because I am bitter, I have moved on. I just want to clear my conscience because my family didn’t know what I went through for ten years. It was when I left last year that I told my family. People have called to blame me, some said I should go back to him. Has he filed for divorce? We are just separated, not divorced. How come he is getting married again? We had a white wedding and a traditional one. But you had a marriage certificate? Yes, we were given one but we are not divorced. We got married in a white garment church. Why did you leave your children in the first instance? When I left the house, my children were with my parents for holiday. When the holiday was over, I went to pick my children and took them back to our house. I told them to go upstairs that I was coming. I then turned my back and left. I did that not because I wanted to leave my children, but I wanted his family to be sure of all I had been saying,). I knew he can’t take care of those children. I was crying when I left and I prayed that I would get them back, it was not up to two weeks that Femi took the children to the village, to his parents. He did not drop money for their upkeep or anything, so his parents took them to public school and he never visited them for once in that four months they were there from April to July. I went there two times to check on them, I later called him that I wanted the children back. He said was l not the one who dumped them before? I told him I needed to make a statement that he couldn’t take care of his children that was why I left them in the first place. He eventually released the children. Arrangement was made, he picked them up and dropped them at his brother’s house and I picked them there. Was there no intervention from his siblings or parents to reconcile the two of you? When the incident happened, some of his elder brothers tried to call and I told them that I was no longer interested. Family members were trying to reconcile but the person that caused the trouble was not remorseful. He did not apologize for beating me, he didn’t say he was sorry. This was the same person that had an accident in 2012 on location. I was the only one taking care of him. You know marriages have their own challenges, I have stayed through thick and thin. I covered up for so long, my mum will always call me, Are you okay? Are you sure you are okay? I almost shut my mum up on his case. I have never done that in my life. My mum will always complain that I was always telling her he was on location, that it means he doesn’t have time for his family. But I always calm her down. His family tried but I have made up my mind about the marriage. I don’t think I can endure any longer. If Femi reads this, he knows that I am not lying. I was practically fending for the family throughout the ten years. Someone asked me, Does it mean he has not done anything good for you in the last ten years? And I told the person the bad he did was far more than the good. I don’t want my daughter to go through what I went through in marriage, and I don’t want my son to be like his father. You left him in April and he’s getting married a year after, do you suspect they started dating before you left him? I don’t think so. I heard the church he attends now did the matchmaking. Did the church call to intervene in the case? No, they never did. No one knows what he told them about me. http://www.lailasblog.com/2017/05/marriage-crashed-day-beat-hes-gold-digger-set-marry-3rd-wife-femi-branchs-wife-ibitola-tells-encomium.html Lalasticlala

Despite pleadings from church leaders and other reputable elders in the church, the government was said to have insisted that the cleric must leave the church. Some church members reportedly contributed money to buy gas cooker, and other household items for the family as they vacated the vicarage. Investigations by our correspondent showed that Taiwo had angered the Governor’s wife, Bolanle Ambode, who had visited the chapel on Sunday, May 14, when the church held an anointing service. The church is under the Lagos State Ministry of Home Affairs, while the Office of the Lagos State First Lady supervises church. Church members were said to have filed out to receive anointing oil during the May 14 service without any preference given to Bolanle, who waited endlessly with her entourage. She was said to have later moved to be anointed and moments later, stormed out of the church, as some of the women leaders ran after her. Bolanle, who was reported to be visibly angry, allegedly shunned entreaties from the women, which included the wife of the presiding chaplain. The cleric got the sack the following day. The directive was issued in a letter dated, May 15, 2017, and signed by the Chairman, Governing Council of CCTL, Mr. Olugbenga Solomon. The letter also ordered the Assistant Chaplain, Very Rev. Ayo Oyadotun, to take over with immediate effect. A church member, who witnessed the drama and begged not to be identified, said , “The church had declared seven-day fasting after we lost two prominent members. “The Sunday service, which was declared as anointing service, was supposed to end the fasting. “The First Lady, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, was present with her entourage. She comes to the church once in a while. “When it was time to be anointed, the cleric asked people to come forward, adding that it was optional. Three people stood at the stage to anoint people. They included the chaplain, the presiding chaplain and one other person. “People started stepping out one after another. The governor’s wife, after some time, also stepped out and was anointed.” The source said within a few minutes of taking the oil, Bolanle, who felt disrespected, stepped out with her entourage. Another member of the church said, “As she stepped out, it was obvious that she was angry. “The president of the women’s fellowship and the pastor’s wife ran after her. She shunned them, entered her car and zoomed off. “When we came to the church on Tuesday, we heard that Venerable Taiwo had been sacked. We were told that he was sacked because the the governor’s wife didn’t get the anointing oil first and she felt disrespected. “The man that signed the letter is also a civil servant,” the source said. The governing council is said to be made up of members of the church and some appointees of the government. PUNCH Metro learnt that Taiwo still had two years to spend as the presiding chaplain when he was fired. The source said some church members quickly bought household items for his family as they vacated the church premises on Thursday. He said; “The children went to school on Thursday without knowing that they would not be staying in the vicarage that evening. Church members bought bed and other household items for them because they did not have their own property. “The members said their pastor did not offend them, and protested the sacking. The governing council members, however, said they should forget it because whatever came from Alausa was final. Most of the church members are civil servants who can’t talk too much.” Our correspondent reached out to leaders of the church, including Oyadotun, who refused to comment. However, one of those that confirmed the incident, begged not to be named. He said the reason Taiwo got the sack was not stated in the letter, adding that the action was not unconnected from the visit of the wife of the governor. He said, “Let me be straight with you, in the letter there was no reason for the sack. Whatever you are hearing are what members of the church believed could have happened. And there was indeed a protest by the church and the governing council assuaged them on the sacking. “There was nothing official in that sacking. No investigation, no query, nothing. We had an anointing service on that Sunday. The following day, the venerable was served the sack letter.” When PUNCH Metro reached out to Taiwo, he said he did not want to comment. He said, “If you have any enquiry, direct it to the church. But one thing I can say is that I have tried as a pastor to live above board. It will not be right engaging the church or the government on the pages of a newspaper.” The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, said, “The former chaplain had been queried a number of times in the past for conducts unbecoming of his office. The culmination of various indiscretions led to the Governing Council of the church issuing yet another query that led to his being relieved of his post. “This has got nothing to do with the First Lady. The Chaplain is looking for an excuse to cover his insouciance. It’s nothing but cheap blackmail.” http://lailasblog.com/2017/05/ambode-sacks-chaplain-disrespecting-wife-first-anointing-service.html Lalasticlala

President Buhari's media aide, Femi Adesina, has written a lengthy article he titled "They Learnt Nothing and Forgot Nothing", slamming those who peddle President Buhari's death rumour. Here's what the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity wrote; "They showed their pernicious hands again last Sunday, and have been on the prowl since then, roaring like a lion, seeking who to devour. Purveyors of death they are, and they have killed President Muhammadu Buhari many times over, cloned the websites of international media houses to announce the hoax, but their wishes did not become horses, so they remain stranded, with nothing to ride. Between January 19, this year, when the President first proceeded on vacation, and March 10, when he returned, they had announced his demise many times. They even created apocryphal images and footages to back up their inhuman claims, but God showed them He was the ultimate. The Real Deal, the Special One. President Buhari came back alive, and disclosed that he would still return to London at a later date for medical follow-up. He eventually left on the night of Sunday, May 7. They saw the Deux ex machina, the Invisible Hands of God, between January and March, but they are so steeped and marooned in unbelief, evil wishes and malediction, that they have started all over again. Last Sunday, they cloned popular websites for the umpteenth time, using them to announce the figment of their diseased imagination. They learnt nothing, and forgot nothing from the immediate past experience. And you begin to ask yourself, just as the Good Book also asked:"Why do the heathens rage, and the people imagine vain things?" Why do they arrogate to themselves the power that belongs only to God? "I can kill, and I can make alive," says God in His word. But these purveyors of hate possibly don't know God. That is why they declare a man dead, when God has not said so. Once has God spoken, and twice have I heard it, that power belongs to God. Millions upon millions of Nigerians love President Muhammadu Buhari. They love his simplicity, his forthrightness, incorruptibility, love of country, and many other virtues. And they are praying. Bombarding Heaven with petitions. Baba o, Baba o, Baba o. Olorun da Baba si fun wa, Baba o, Baba o, Baba o. Olorun da Baba si fun wa. Oh God, spare our Baba, the father of the country. Spare him for us, O Lord we pray. And Heaven is listening to the supplications. We await the full manifestation. Millions of us can follow Baba blindfolded into battle. We love him that much, and it is within our rights. But have you seen a man ever loved by everybody? Show me. Even if you feed an entire city daily, some people still won't like your guts. So, those who are not Buharists have a right to their convictions. But must any human being be hateful to the point of wishing another person dead, and indeed broadcasting a death that never happened? Shame. Shame upon evil wishers, purveyors of lies and wickedness. Do they have blood running in their veins at all? Do they realize that wishing another person dead, is sin before God? Yet they go to churches, mosques, and other worship houses. Who are they worshiping? The Unknown God. Why do some people, a tiny but vocal minority, wish the President dead? Do they know that if God wills, the man they wish dead could outlive them by many years? There was a lady who was very active on social media in 2015, before the presidential election of that year. She was in the league of anti-Buhari elements. Oh, he was too old. Oh, he was sickly. Yes, he would soon die. The lady was rabidly pontifical in her convictions, parading herself as someone with a charmed life, who would live forever. And then, it happened! Sometime last year, she died! When I saw the news online, I just shook my head, and prayed for the repose of her soul. I did not gloat. No need to. Not in her wildest imagination could she have thought that she would pre-decease President Buhari. But who has the final say? Jehovah has the final say. The breath of man is in his nostrils, and God can decide to extinguish his candle at anytime. Jehovah has the final say. It is not by age, not by how healthy you seem, or how sickly you are. It's a lesson some people have not learnt. They learn nothing, and forget nothing. Back to the earlier question. Why do some people want their own President dead? Why do they want the eclipse of a man who is actuated by nothing other than love for his country? Why have they constituted themselves into enemies of national progress, haters of all that is good? Why do they prefer the dark jungle of infamy to the light of a clear and bright day, signposted by freedom from rapacity and lootocracy? Who then are these enemies? "Our enemies are the political profiteers, the swindlers, the men in high and low places that seek bribes and demand 10 percent, those that seek to keep the country divided permanently so that they can remain in office as Ministers or VIPs at least, the tribalists, the nepotists, those that make the country look big for nothing before international circles, those that have corrupted our society and put the Nigerian political calendar back by their words and deeds." Those were the words of Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, after the country's first military coup in 1966. You may like Nzeogwu, or you may not, depending on how you view his actions and inactions. But you can hardly deny the veracity of what he said. And 51 years later, the words still ring true. The enemies of Buhari are the political profiteers. To them, political office is not about service, but about making profit. Ordinary people can go to hell, and stay there. Personal profit is the name of the game The swindlers, too. Enemies of righteousness and transparency. They swindle man, and even try to swindle God. Of course, they wouldn't want a new sheriff in town. They'd rather shoot him, and sing the reggae song:"I shot the sheriff..." Those that seek bribe and demand 10 percent. Enemies. Only that they are not satiated by 10 percent again. They take the entire 100 percent, and leave the country prostrate. But when a Daniel comes to judgment, and hurls them before the law, knowing neither friend nor foe, they wish that he dies. Gerrout, so that business as usual continues, they shout. Those that seek to keep the country divided permanently. Evil souls. They use all the fault lines. Religion. Ethnicity. Language. Everything. We saw it all in the 2015 elections. They cashed in on all things that divide us as a people. But Nigerians were resolute for change, and they got it. But did those people give up? Did Pharaoh desist from pursuing the people of Israel? Hell, no! Till he ended in a watery grave. The stubborn fly follows the corpse into the grave. For the greater part of this year, President Buhari has been away from home. But whether present or absent, he still looms large. The mere fact that his shadow hovers over the land riles evil workers to no end. But what can anybody do? Jehovah has the final say. The old order is giving way for a new one in Nigeria. In just two years, the back of insurgency has been broken, corruption is taking a shellacking, and the comatose economy is turning round. Despite it all, some people still wish the President dead. Sad and sorry. But thankfully, they don't have the final say. However, if they refuse to repent, we can repent on their behalf, lest judgment comes speedily on them. How dreadful it would be. Lord, we are sorry, We've turned around and gone astray, Your trust for us we have betrayed, Your power we don't recognize Your Lordship we have all despised, We cannot pretend We all now repent Forgive us Lord we pray Bring down your glory... May God bless Panam Percy Paul, who sang the song. May God accept our repentance on behalf of evil wishers. May God spare our President, and restore him to full health. Baba o, Baba o, Baba o, Oluwa da Baba si fun wa. Lord, please spare our President. Spare him for us, to the glory of your name. Let those who learn nothing, and forget nothing, be purged of all evil. Let them turn new leaf. Amen somebody! It seems Nigerians are not letting go of the viral report of how the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, snubbed the Ooni of Ife at an event in Lagos, as the heavy rainfall witnessed in some parts of Lagos at the ongoing Eyo festival held in the State, has been linked to the faceoff between the two monarchs. Talk about being caught red-handed, a Nigerian lady discovered that her housemate who was about leaving her, stole her money while praying for her. The lady's sister, Biola, the victim’s sister, wrote: “So this girl worked with my sister for a year and a half, pretending like she didn’t know anything. She acts local as she is from Ibadan not knowing it was just a decoy to make us believe she is very local and knows nothing. She was set to leave last week Sunday and my sister told her to kneel down so she can pray for her, in all of these, she was given new clothes, shoes, watches and extra money for being a good girl not knowing she is a devil in disguise. When she was about to pray for her, she wanted to help her adjust her dress and realized there was something bulky in it and she asked her what it was, she claimed it was her stomach. My sister insisted on seeing and when she refused, she pulled her close and tore her dress. She had worn my sister’s girdle and packed a total sum of N79,000 in it and also $300 dollars in her private part. We were thankful that she didn’t do more than that and we let her go. Unfortunately, when I got back home, I realized she also stole my jewelry and a huge sum of money from my house. My sister also realized she took her daughter’s jewelry and also hers. I know she will definitely come back to Lagos to come to someone else’s home to do damages, as she got away with this, so I am putting her out there so no one will accept her in their homes, even if she changes her name to something else, because that’s their usual practice. And I also need to mention that my sister was robbed 4 times in a year, so I can’t put it past her that she had a hand in it. Please we shld all be careful of all these helps, they are devil’s incarnate. They have no soul and they are very wicked people.” http://www.lailasblog.com/2017/05/while-praying-for-housemaid-whos-about.html Lalasticlala
