Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe who was a victim of domestic abuse and have been in and out of court with her husband Lanre Gentry who is facing an assault charge, has taken to Instagram to share a photo of a battered woman, with a message to those going through such.

According to Mercy Aigbe, 'If you feel your partner provokes you to the extent of bringing out that animal in you pls do yourself a favour by walking out of that marriage'.

Here's what she wrote;

"According to Human Rights Activist lawyer Emeka Uguwonye..... This woman was battered by her husband! How long are we going to condone this inhumane act for?
Some very shallow and evil minded fellows will say she must have done something to provoke the man!.......

For Christ Sake, if you are provoked can't you control yourself? Instead of killing your partner or rendering the person disabled! If you feel your partner provokes you to the extent of bringing out that animal in you pls do yourself a favour by walking out of that marriage ! ...... Nigerian man, Dr. Osato Osemwengie, who builds drones for the United States army, has bagged his 7th Masters Degree, and is now set to get his 4th Ph.D by September 2017.

The excited man who took to Facebook to share photos from the graduation ceremony wrote;

"I was in Garland, Texas yesterday, June 23rd, 2017 for my 7th master degree graduation. Yes as the fingers count in the picture shows 7, as in 7 master degree. Nigerian music star, 9ice, whose recent song ‘Living Things’, sparked controversy after Falz said entertainers shouldn’t hail fraudsters in their songs, has further reacted to this.

9ice who was interviewed by NaijaloadedTV, said he wouldn’t blame Falz because that was his perception about the music and everybody have the right to say whatever they want about the song.

Earlier today, we reported that Actress Rosy Meurer was called out by an Instagram user for plagiarism. The lady accused Rosy of stealing her post, sharing evidence for that too.

Documents made available to the Nigerian Police, reveals that notorious billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans reportedly obtained his Ghanaian passport with a fake name.

According to the Nigerian Police Force intelligence,  Evans was issued a Ghanaian passport on January 10, 2013 with a Ghanaian name, Asare Nelson.

Meeting with the West African Police Chiefs in Accra on Tuesday, Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, revealed that the notorious kidnapper has a Ghanaian passport and cautioned the Ghanaian authorities to tighten modalities for the issuance of passports.

“Nigerians are celebrating the arrest of the Ghanaian-Nigerian. Ghanaian because he has a Ghanaian passport something you guys have to look at,” he advised.

The Nigerian Police report further indicated that Evans relocated his wife and five children to Ghana, because of his kind of business.

Onwuamadike owns two houses in Accra. One of them, a duplex located at Spintex, an Accra metropolis, is where his wife, Mrs Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike lives with their children.

Reacting to this, Ghana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the Ghanaian passports issued to Nigerian kidnap kingpin, Chikwudubem Onwuamadike aka  Evans' and his family.

Ghana's Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Charles Owiredu told Joy News Thursday that any persons found to have played a role in the issuance, would be duly dealt with according to the law.

According to him, preliminary investigations into the matter have revealed, two children of the kidnapper received their Ghanaian passports in 2010 while the wife had hers in 2013.

50-year-old Italian kidnapper, Blessing Fernando, who reportedly abducted a victim in Delta State, was arrested at Ogbe-Isoko community where he went to collect an additional ransom of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives, having collected N250,000 initially.

The suspect who stays at Evowe Quarters of Ozoro in Isoko North LGA., was paraded alongside 22 suspected kidnappers and three armed at the command headquarters in Asaba yesterday. According to the state Commissioner of Police, Zanna Ibrahim, the kidnapping syndicate had terrorised Ozoro and its environs for years.

“He was arrested at a scene where he came to collect ransom of additional sum of N50,000 from the victim’s relatives having robbed the victim the sum of N250,000. Effort to arrest other fleeing gang members is on course as case will be charged to court soon,” the commissioner said.

According to NewTelegraph, upon interrogation, the suspect, who confessed to be a member of the kidnapping syndicate, said he was  co-opted under duress after he was duped of N600,000.

He said:

“They forced me to become their member, if I must get back my money. 

My desperation to recover my money from them has landed me in this mess. They told me to go and wait at the scene where I was arrested for somebody who will bring some money from which they will offset what they had defrauded me.”

Fernando said his mother hailed from Isoko ethnic group in Delta State while his father was an Italian.

A heartbroken Nigerian lady has slammed alleged celebrity husband snatcher, Rosy Meurer for reportedly stealing her write-up word for word without acknowledging her.

According to @SisiFolake, if Rosy wants to write a letter to her future husband, she should search her heart and i'm sure she'd find it, as Plagiarism is wrong on all grounds and also a crime.

A five-woman gang who specialize in child trafficking, have been busted by the officers of the Imo State Police Command, after they reportedly sold a 3- year-old boy in Ngor Okpala LGA of the state for N600,000 abducted from a burial ceremony.

It was gathered that the suspects Chinonye Okere, Joy Ama, Eucheria Amadi, Pauline Uzoamaka and Nnenne Okere, who sold the boy who was rescued in Lagos, accused a police officer identified as Felix,  who is currently facing an orderly room trial and would be dismissed and charged to the court if found guilty of being part of the child-trafficking syndicate, of being part of their gang.

According to Punch, the prime suspect, Okere, who allegedly stole the child at a funeral ceremony confessed to the crime, but claimed that one police man, Felix, planned and executed the criminal act with her. .

She said that her husband and one other person she named as being part of the crime, Rose, were on the run. The alleged buyer, 55-year-old Uzoamaka, said she bought the child for N600,000 from 54 year-old Mrs. Amadi in Nnewi, Anambra State in April.

Speaking on a Channels TV programme on Thursday, Nigeria's Minister of information, culture and tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed arrested  leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, is not in detention.

According to the Minister, Zakzaky is currently staying with his family in a house built for them by the federal government, as nobody wants to accept him as a neighbour.

“There is a lot of deliberate misunderstanding on El-Zakzaky’s issue,” he said.

“If a judgment is given and that judgment is appealed, you cannot accuse the government of violating a court order if the appeal has not been decided.

“Also, in the case of El-Zakzaky, how many Nigerians know that El Zakzaky is actually not in prison custody nor police custody nor DSS custody? El-Zakzaky is in a house with his family, this is the honest truth.

“The court ruled that he will be released after his house has been rebuilt. Nobody wants to accept El-Zakzaky as a neighbor. So we have been able to build a house, where do we release him to.”

Following reports and viral photos which showed Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh showing up at son's school Father's day celebration dressed like a man, her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill has reacted to this with a cryptic message.

A Nigerian Politician’s wife was reportedly caught red-handed cheating in Delta State, after her husband stormed the hotel she lodged with some security operatives to arrest her and her lover.

The Facebook video shared by Okon Edwin, had the lover claiming that he didn’t know she was married, as she told him she’s divorced.

On her own part, the woman said she has been having the issues with her husband for close to two years.

Discovery of the corpse of a lady said to be in her late thirties, who had passed the night in her lover’s house at 17b Akugbe road, near Uwa market, off TV road, Benin, after reportedly having an argument with her lover, identified as one Anthony Akhimien, in the early hours of Friday, caused pandemonium on Friday on Obomwan Street, off Second-West Circular Road, in Oredo LGA of Edo State.

According to Punch, the lady who is yet to be identified, was found in a bathroom, a development which startled many residents in the area, and some residents of the area who refused to speak on record, raised the suspicion that the body of the deceased could have b‎een thrown into the next compound after she died. .

Occupants of the house where the corpse was found were said to have raised the alarm, which attracted operatives from Textile Mill Police Division. It was also learnt that the tenants in the building where the lady was suspected to have died abandoned their homes for fear of being arrested.

But Akhimien was later said to have been arrested at about 3 pm after he was caught in his room by some military officers, who later handed him over to the police. The remains of the deceased were also said to have deposited in a mortuary.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Moses Nkombe, confirmed the incident, adding that investigation was ongoing. Nkombe also stated that the suspect would be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.

Religion succeeds in Nigeria.

If I start a church today, it will succeed. Calling or no calling.

This is the era of knowledge. We are not Israelites under Moses. Salvation has come. Jesus has come and died. What else do you want?

We have had too many spiritual revolutions. What we need is a mental one.

You cannot pray Nigeria to greatness. It is impossible for God to move in a country where we allow our police to discard rape cases with the wave of a hand, and our politicians rob us blindly. It is not up to God to save the rot in our educational institutions or fix the drainage on our roads. It’s up to us. And we can’t do any of that on our knees. We get shit done in 2017 by cerebral drudgery.

Religion is like soda. It’s Coca-cola. That drink isn’t going to save anything. It’s feel-good… and like Coke, we are addicted to this feel good process. Every Sunday we go to church to get our feel-good tablet. Then we have to come out of that fix after a few hours and face the issues that have been haunting us for decades, still unsolved. Still in need of a different approach.

Religion makes us vulnerable, self-centred and clearly delusional. It attacks our rational and coherent capacity.

Things are moving well in your life and a miracle occurred in your life and you finally got an answer to something that had been bugging you in your life because you prayed. But your prayer doesn’t have the depth or promise to change the problem called Nigeria. Your little success is beautiful. But what does it matter when every part of the country you call home is a wreck.

If you have beautiful lips but your body is ravaged by cancer, what then does it count for – those beautiful lips?

#HallelujahChallenge will succeed bigly. That’s a given. Not a miracle.

Why then are y’all so surprised that you can gather 50,000 people online? Revivals are our biggest achievements. The most educated will bow to a man of God who couldn’t pass his WASSCE exams. It is why we are what we are.

Stop being so shocked that people want to serve God. It is what we do. It is the only thing we do well. When we are done, we go back home and justify a paedophile, or delay the transaction of a debt, or bear false witness. Or choose any of the 100,000 ways to live sinfully. Then the process continues the next Sunday. Like a dark cycle, like playing russian roulette, until your own dark faith and spinelessness kill you.

God, however, wants you to get your knees up and go challenge your Local government for a start. He wants you to write a petition and follow through in regard to Queens’ College. Or choose any 100,000 ways to fix your country.

Try #ScienceChallenge, a hashtag that hopes to promote facts through experiment and observation, and see how far that will go. It definitely will not get 50,000 people questioning why we, a people of over 170million, cannot produce our own malaria drugs.

Do you know if they close the borders of Nigeria we will all die? Over 90% of our daily needs are imported. Even toothpick.

But prayer is the key. Smh.”

For chopping off his 14-year-old daughter’s finger because she failed to cut her hair after he gave her N100 for that, the Ogun State Police Command have declared the weird father wanted.

The nongovernmental group, Child Protection Network,  which reported the case to police, claimed unnamed child was preparing for her junior secondary school certificate examination when she was attacked by her father, Musa Olayinka, in the incident that happened at  Ijebu-Ode town of Ogun State.

“We met the 14-year-old girl JSS3 student who is supposed to be having her Junior WAEC by now, with one of her left fingers cut off by the father and a lot of marks on her body due to the rope that was used to tie her and the cane mark,” he said.

“She is a maternal orphan, we also saw the step-mother but the father is nowhere to be found. She was punished by the father because she refused to cut her hair after receiving N100 for the haircut.”

According to Premium Times, the group said the girl had initially fled to her grandparent’s, following her father’s earlier threat, but was later returned home after the father agreed to “forgive” her.

The girl was tied and beaten by her father, who later cut off her finger. She was rescued by the local vigilante, who took her to the hospital for treatment while the father fled.

Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said suspect would be apprehended.

A little girl whose nap was cut short, after a truck ran over the shop she was sleeping was left unhurt after the accident. According to Facebook user, Frank Wilson, the accident occurred at Okwudor Junction in Imo State.

A married Nigerian woman was found dead in a hotel room in Enugu while “enjoying” with her lover during a one-night stand.

A statement by police spokesman Ebere Amaraizu, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said the deceased was identified as Mrs Ifeyinwa Udeh of Ugboezeji in Abakpa Nike of Enugu State.

The statement said: “On that fateful day, the deceased with her lover, identified as Joel Ugwu of Abakpa in Enugu State, had allegedly checked into one hotel located around Nowas Junction of Transekulu in Enugu.

“She was later confirmed dead by a doctor at St Leo’s Hospital Transekulu after suddenly falling ill and becoming unconscious. “She was taken to the hospital for medical attention at 11.15 p.m by her lover.”

The statement said Ugwu, who is in police custody, is assisting the investigation on the incident.

It said the suspect confessed that he and Ifeyinwa “comfortably checked into the hotel on that fateful day, but later, the lady lover started complaining of ill health. According to the suspect, she was immediately given a bottle of malt drink and bottled water, which he allegedly bought for her while they were relaxing in the hotel room”.

The police added: “He said following the development, he rushed her to the hospital for medical attention, but she was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.

“The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue of the Parklane Specialist Hospital in Enugu for autopsy.”

Also, detectives from Homicide Section of the police command have begun a full scale investigation into the incident.

The police said they recovered from the hotel room some tablets and capsules as well as other materials, which they said would aid operatives in their investigations.
