i am back. Now where were we? Ah yes - figures - ROI's so u successfully do everything and after 9 to 11 months ur plantain starts fruiting worst case scenario- SALES So, lets say 100 out of the 200 suckers u plant first fruited and is sold at an unbelievable low price of 350naira per bunch so 350naira x 100fruits = 35,000 so that means by d time the 200suckers fruit, u would ave gotten ur investment back and subsequent sales become - what are the words- profits, gains, ur sweat, chop money, additional income etc |
endyme:bigger healthier bunch. Also leaves are thinned to 2 or 3 so dat nurients are diverted to the fruits |
The ROI Well this is the part most of u have bin waiting for so i ll just go straight to the point. At a spacing of 2m x 2m(6ft x 6ft) u shud b getting abt 1200 stands of plantain sucker in an acre(6 plots) or 200 suckers per plot worst case scenario per plot a sucker goes for 100naira per sucker that means 100naira x 200 suckers = 20000 transp of suckers 4000 land prep(plough & cutting) =5000 planting = 50naira/ sucker x 200 suckers 1000 5 times weeding@ 1000 naira = 5000 naira 1 bag of fertilizer @8000 + 2ce application @ 500 each = 9000 which brings ur total to plant a plot of land to 44,000 or as we wud say a round figure of 50,000naira per plot. Rememba all dis figures are worst case scenario. Be rite back |
The Benefits 1. The land permently belongs to you 2. Direct technical expertise from our client and partner farm from growth to marketing 3. Use of hybrid suckers for improved yield 4. Availability of direct market for both suckers and crop 5. Its an oppotunity to earn additional income after nine month |
I knw dat most of u guys
wud b tired of all the
suspense so let me break it
down for all to understand
THE PLANTAIN CITY PROJECT.... It s just abt plantain The Story Our client and partner who owns one of the largest plantain farms in south west, currently sitted on 80acres of land and counting with over 70 thousand stands of plantains was complaining of being unable to meet up to demand as he supplies both markets in nigeria, benin and even as far as togo. So we got talking and came up with........ THE PROJECT the proposed PLANTAIN CITY project is to be located on 100 acres of land in the 1st phrase. COST Currently an acre(6 plots) at the proposed site goes for 250,000naira. But we also decided to bring people together who had smaller amount but wanted to b part of the plantain city future, so we broke it down to 45,000naira = 1plot ( but there is a catch - for those paying per plot, u will ave to be complete 6 persons or willing to foot the bill of the 6 plots to b eligible ) WHAT DOES THE AMOUNT COVER 250,000 (outright payment) 45,000 (per plot) both covers agents, legal agreement, commissions |

I just had to lift this from a thread i was viewing not so long for those internet farmers. Its just the plain truth wen it comes to agriculture. Read and learn. @ all parties involved pls pardon my lifting Re: We Now Buy Plantain In Large Quantity by TAEpiphany: 2:21pm On Feb 26, 2015 Mr World1, Don't take it personal, I don't think he meant that statement to be an attack on you. GGfadar is one of the truth-tellers regarding plantain on this forum. Check a lot of the articles, you are led to believe plantain can be sold between 1000 - 1500 per bunch always. There are talks of demand being higher than supply, and that it's a farmers market. But here you are professing that if you get 750 per bunch you are lucky. I'm thinking the per kilo will not include the plantain stalk, so the person calculating 750 is generous, it sounds to me more like 400- 600 per bunch depending on the size. Even lower if the plantains are not bulky. Produce market can be very dicey, there are times in the ever ready Mile12 market that a bunch has been sold for 150 naira per bunch, just like cassava there was glut. Too much produce not enough buyers, I haven't seen any of these internet farmers advice on how prices can crash just like the forex market. No price control, you can sell for 1500 naira today in Mile12 and 150 naira next week. Other markets? Everybody is looking for a deal and an opportunity to rip-off. As a farmer with a perishable item, you receive the short end of the stick. |
but then again, SUCCESS comes with its own problems and perks. My question is how do u manage dem as they come |
if i make others happy and i inturn am very unhappy does dat still make me successful? |
but whether it is positive or negative success its still means u are successful |
thebestprice:so which price do u want me to put. Like how much do u want me to qoute. Its an open discussion |
