AN IDEA

My papa always speaks a tale
About the rain and what it brings
The wet drops touch all men
It is pleasurable, refreshing and soothing
Oh the blessing of the rain after a dry season.

My papa tells of a kind of rain
It falls from the sky but it is not wet
These eurekaric drops can touch any man
To change the world and shift the trends
Oh the wonders of a unique rain.

Now and then, the new rain falls on me
The drops engulf me, showing a new side
Papa says these unique raindrops are ideas
The same ideas fall on different persons
The hero who acts on it and the one who ignores it
What will it be for you my child?

The answer, I know, we are all guilty
Sometimes, excited, we bask in and enjoy the rain
Other times, too lazy, we fail to take delight
Yet, I discover myself, the beauty of an idea and the thrill of a breakthrough.
Eureka!
