One of the major problems facing the Medical graduands now as regards Internship placing is as a result of the "UNREST" in the North Western states of our dear country as fresh graduands are scared of traveling down to such states for placement as a result mounting pressure on the few
facilities in other Zones which are overwhelmed by a larger variable and it is sad to note that most Health facilities in such crisis prone states
have a higher capacity to absorb most prospective interns compared to other zones. |

chucky234: This to say I'm sorry for what transpired between myself and Oseri, I probably didn't manage the situation well but experience they say is the best teacher. . I have reached out to Oseri and we have resolved our differences and has since moved on as friends, what he did put a stain on my image but no love lost between us. . I also want you to know that Oseri didn't buy the car based on the ad as people speculated, he was not even aware of the ad. He is a friend and we chat on whatsapp time to time, he actually got the pics on whatsapp and never complain about them being deceptive except for the engine he asked me to re-snap which I did. . My only grievance was people who labelled me scam, fraud and a thief which is certainly not the case here. If people call me a scam for selling a car that has run on Nigeria roads for 6 years simply because the buyer complaint about faulty power steering pump, what would they call Toyota, Honda, Ford, VW,Nissan who launch millions of brand new cars with undisclosed defects into the market and sold to millions of users worldwide annually. The last time I check such cases levelled against car manufacturers were tagged "negligence" and not "scam". I have seen a brand new car's engined knocked in two months and the company said the engine is outside warranty, yet no one called the company a scam. . For people like us who started our business journey on B2B in 2003 one negative feedback in 9yrs for a seller/company is a good record when compared to the number of positive feedbacks earned during that period, and I think people need to understand this instead of calling me a scam and trying to tarnish my image. . I went into car business not for profit but for the passion and my love for cars, I have sold cars to people without making a penny because the long term relationship is paramount to me and not the immediate gain. There was a time I had a Benz C230 Kompressor for sale and a nairalander auztyno showed interest, owner of the car wanted 750k for the said car, I put it up for sale for 800k but because of auztyno seriousness and honesty I asked him to come with the 750k the owner requested for. He came into Lagos from Enugu and we met the following morning, he explained few things to me that he was expecting some money and his account has was yet to be credited but still got about 720k in his account. I had to go back to the owner to plead with him to accept the 720k which he reluctantly accepted. There were few minor fixes to be done on the car like servicing the AC, horn and getting fresh number plates registration, I had to pay for the fresh registration and jack from my pocket. Today auztyno is a very good friend and he has helped me market my cars to his friends and relatives in Enugu. . I hold business meetings with my customers in my house and not in any office and that's one thing that has endeared me to the hearts of many, in the course of this saga more than 20 people have called me to show solidarity and offer their advises. . For those that said I'm jobless and a fake person masquerading as a car dealer to scam people , I have been fighting fraud on the internet since 2004, and I have also fought fraud on nairaland over the years especially the Auto section and pet section. In 2004 I wrote article on how to identify Nigeria fees fraud letters on crime watch, also authored an article on "how to do business with Nigerians to avoid scam" on alibaba.com in 2005. I was active on alibaba.com fraud alert section, you can find some of my replies on the links below: ask.alibaba.com/Q/22529.html . resources.alibaba.com/topic/23638/buying_from_Indonesia.htm . I have done business on nairaland for 7yrs and no one has ever created a thread to say he/she was scam by Chucky234, I have been doing business on the internet for 12 good years and no one has ever associated my name with scam/fraud. You can google Chuck Collins Ezemejor to see how many websites and directories my info can be found.
My business venture didn't start on nairaland, I set up an outsourcing company called Raw Materia Broker Ltd in 2005 to source Rapeseed oil, Sunflower oil, CPO for biodiesel companies in Europe. We also partnered with companies like Jarsana in Montreal Canada for rice supply and Fairnico, Prague Czech Rep for UreaN46 supply. In 2008 I was appointed international business representative/mandate by Sure King Petroleum in Hongkong through recommendation from Mr. Gottlieb Keller. Same year I was also appointed by the Renewable Energy Green City Project, I personally submitted a proposal on renewable energy to the Lagos state government. In 2009 I worked for Global Rice Sarl and J & W Rice Company both in Thailand In 2010 I was appointed International business rep by KMT Inc, California, though I was unable to convince our multinationals to spend money to bring in their products. . For those who analysed the issue without sentiment, Mekzyjoe, iboboyswag, Raymie, Gazzuz,Bossforever, kingreign, chloedogie and the rest, I say a big thank you. . Once again I tender my sincerely apology to Nairalanders and nairaland in general, I'm sincerely sorry for everything. . Cc: Seun Dominique I could bank on your wealth of experience on the Auto Section, would be needing a M Benz C Class 2006 Model soonest, hope to contact you when the time is right. |

I must confess that am really impressed by the comments in this thread so far, let me contribute my 1 cent. Pls am sorry If I offend U by the figures I wld be quoting as I go on.
Am a Medical Lab Scientist, after the successful completion of my 1 year Internship program in a reputable Hospital in Abj, service was the next agenda but was unlucky not to hv made batch C last year which was abt the same time I rounded up, So the pressure kept mounting to rent an apartment as I made up my mind not to go home, my rent for a year was #250,000 with an additional #5,000 for security and PHCN bills which amounted to abt #310,000 in a year which I spilled with a colleague in other to save.
During my internship a year I was able to save #1,000,000 which later rose to #1,150,000 cos I belonged to a Co operative scheme, my colleague had to leave after the successful completion leaving me to cater for the rent alone without no job at hand and banking on the fact that I wld be joining batch A 15, after several deliberation I called home and my mother's immediate response was dear son don't renew ur rent without any job at hand and no discharge certificate, the truth was that I wld hv gotten a job but it won't have been able to cater for my rent and feeding for a year as I also missed out during batch A due to regularization issue which have been sorted and would be joining this batch, I traveled home to be with my parents and endured cos I had a plan of investing during my service year, and to God be the glory I disciplined my self not to spend my hard gotten money instead re invested a large sum of it in my Co operative which is a reliable investment rather than fixed deposit, I hv been at home for a year managing with my dad n little sibling despite the reproach that comes with it but I see the brighter goal ahead n it had helped me to save in preparation for my biz plan during my service year n by the special grace of God Almighty Am gonna succeed , So my dear PCM 's n ex corp members there is absolutely nothing wrong in resorting back home for support after service provided you have a time frame n plan to leave soonest. God Bless You All. |

Umunede: Exactly what happened to me some years ago when I was going for NYSC in Osun state. I am very happy today that I made that decision not to go back to my Parent. That is what changed my life. That singular decision is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Below are things I did Burn the bridge. When I was leaving for NYSC, I told my Parent point blank that I am not coming back to stay with them again. I will only visit them to greet them. They were shocked. They were thinking I was playing. Guess what, that is exactly what happened. I hated going back to them. I am the first born. they have trained me through University. why should I go back to them? so first, hate going back. That is what drove me to work out my life. I never regretted it. Secondly, know that the good job may not come immediately after service. The question then is what will I be doing to keep me going after NYSC since I will going back to my Parents? Right from the first day, I stepped into Osun state for NYSC, I stopped thinking of NYSC. The only thing in my mind is after NYSC, what will I be doing. In the camp, I was asking questions. You have a talent. I love teaching. The day I left camp, I approached many JAMB/GCE lesson centres that same day by just asking people. Because something is in my mind. I am not going back. I must get something to be doing even after NYSC before the big job will come. SAVE SAVE SAVE. Our allawe then was 6500 and later increased to 7500. I was saving. You must save every month from your allawe. Don't blow everything. Be prudent. Those savings will help you later. Prepare for tests and interview. Buy aptitude test and interview books, GMAT. Read wide. Develop yourself. Start applying for jobs from day one. Tuesday and Thursday Guardian was my friend. I don't have money to buy the newspapers as corper. I visit the local vendor as early as 6am to 7am every Tuesday and Thursday. I will give him 10 or 20 naira to scan through the newspaper before the buyers will start coming. I go with my pen and paper to write down vacancies. later, the vendor became my friend, he sometimes give me the newspaper to scan for free. I remember then, he will tell me, "no dirty am oo", dem de come buy am. I will say Oga, I hear. Most young people nowadays are very lazy. Nothing good comes easy. You have to work out your life. It is through this guy's newspaper I landed the good job I was looking for. Nobody helped me. My friends mocked me then, that I an SAN(senior applicant of Nigeria). I told them I am M-SAN(most senior applicant of Nigeria). Be applying, be writing test and be attending interview. You are getting experience. Start little. Don't go for a costly well furnished accommodation. They gave me accommodation where I did my service. But from day one, I was asking around where I could get cheap accommodation where I will stay after my service. Eventually, I was able to get a good cheap one. If you are batch B for example, there will be some batch A corp members that their rent runs beyond their service period and they want to leave immediately. You can negotiate with them. That is how I got a good one Above all, be prayerful. Bros, you need God to help you. Doing all these, barely 3 months after my service, I got the lucrative job I was looking for. Today when, I look back, I feel happy and fulfilled not to have gone back. If I had gone back, I will not struggle the way I did and they will be feeding me 3 times a day. Maybe, I wouldn't have been here. May the good Lord increase you for these piece bro. |
