How come those who praise Peter Obi to high heavens now never saw anything good about him while he was governor?

How come they kept saying if he had the revenue Tinubu had, he could have performed wonders? But don't they realize Tinubu set up structures to raise Lagos IGR? Why couldn't Peter Obi do the same?

He hardly speaks about Anambra or sell his records. He keeps talking about Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and China? Did he contribute anything to those states? Tinubu talks about his records in Lagos.

Obi offered himself for public office, and he should expect criticism and defend his records, if any. As for what Mrs Morayo Afolabi-Brown said that she criticized him, wasn't this same Morayo threatened for supporting Tinubu and called all sorts of names by the same persons fighting Deji Adeyanju today? Until the full interview with Chude is aired, any comment on the promotional video is premature.

Obi's records as governor were abysmal. Even his most ardent supporters agree.

Active threats were made by Obidients led by Serah.

The treats against judges were insureectionist and security agencies need to invite her to gather evidence from her about the statements she made.

She also needs to be put on trial.

These people wanted to destroy the country because someone lost election.

A strategy for election is distraction.

During Arise News presidential debate that Tinubu was wise enough to stay away from, Dino Melaye taunted Obi until Obi lost his cool.

Towards 2027, Deji Adeyanju is taunting Obi and Obi is falling for it.

Obi has not controlled his politics, Obi's politics has controlled him.

There is nothing Deji Adeyanju said against Peter Obi that Peter Obi or his followers did not say or even worse to Tinubu.

The problem is that Obi and his followers cannot stomach a fraction of what they dish out.

It is good that they are exposed.

Quite unlike Dino Melaye, he has not released a skit to explain himself away or behave like a sick person as he did when police barricaded his house when he refused to honour their invitation and eventually started acting film when they cut water and electricity to his house.

While making skits, he didn't realize he was under house arrest.

I think this story highlights how the "wealthy" game the system. Dino declared less than what he earned to evade taxes. He forgets that funds flowed to his bank accounts which can be traced as legitimate income. I suggest he pays because it is a fine or appeals.

With the fine, the Nigerian Electoral Laws effectively rules him out for presenting himself for elections.

NNPCL has always been under attack mostly by internal saboteurs.

So far, the NNPCL boss talks and acts like a politician than the CEO of what should be a major national oil company.

How often does Dangote talk? Infact, there are many CEOs who don't even talk at all.

Who is the Chevron Nigeria CEO? No one knows. When Ojulari was in Shell, why was he not a talkative?

It seems these people cannot deliver on the job assigned to them. So they use empty talk as excuse.

NNPCL is under attack? You are the CEO, defend NNPCL! See how Dangote runs his business. Without pity.

Bayo, if you are reading this, one thing that has become clear is that NNPCL cannot manage refineries. It is a shame that money keeps getting dumped in fixing refineries only for those who oversaw the spending to be answering to EFCC. There are NNPC engineers who managed the refineries. Some of them are still alive. They know the problems. Where are they? Instead of pouring money into the drain, sell the refineries to investors. There is no law that NNPC must own refineries. Additionally, why pour money in oil exploration in the north? How about gas infrastructure?

NNPCL needs to set practical priorities. So far, I don't feel the impact of the new CEO beyond controversies and chochocho.

If you deliver and work for the people, let us see the bagah who will want to force you out.

APC did not exclude the north.

The ministers of defence are from the north. The CDS is northern. The air chief is northern. The NSA is northern. The last time we had a southern NSA was during Jonathan's time, I think Azazi. The largest expanse of land are in the north.

PDP did not exclude the north.

In 2019 and 2023, they gave ticket to a northerner who won a fair contest. One of PDP's enduring legacies is power rotation so that no group would feel excluded. It was unfair for Atiku to want to succeed Buhari. That would have led to a northern hegemony which is not good for our polity. Anyone who loves Nigeria should be willing to sacrifice his ambition for the unity of the country.

Incidentally, the northerners believed more in power rotation by giving Tinubu more votes than the south and giving Tinubu more votes than their own son, Atiku.

I think Tinubu has been fair to the north. Let them continue to work together for the collective prosperity of Nigeria. Let them revive Arewa textile factory. Let the army of the youth be factory workers. There is no reason why there is no fertilizer blending plant in the north. How about more rice mills and agro-processing factories? By the time we solve the existential problems of hunger and strife, power would become unattractive.

It is because of neglect that people feel that political appointments are an escape from poverty.

When Nigeria had surplus, Atiku admitted to squandering our funds by paying some electricity contractors 100%. He admitted the contractors disappeared.

Today, Atiku wants to rescue Nigeria.

Had Atiku and Obasanjo done things methodically, Nigeria would have been better off for it.

Adding 12,000MW to our national nal grid and increasing transmission capacity would boost our electricity supply.

May Tinubu continue to succeed.

When Apc was formed, Tinubu knew he can't take power without the North, he used Buhari to achieved that.

Obi can't win election without the Norther support, Atiku can't win without the southeast support. So they should do the needful or allow Tinubu disgrace them on election day.

No election results are declared before 12 pm on election day. It doesn't happen anywhere in the world.

There is mistrust in the coalition. The expectations of a political tsunami by the horde of political figures decamping failed to materialize. They have realized the lack of planning.

Obi's lapses have shown. He may not get the same support as he did in 2023 as it has become glaring that he is a tribal project as admitted by the likes of Chimamanda Adichie who said she supported him because he was her kinsman. Many of those who supported him in good faith have been insulted.

As for Atiku, he has demonstrated to be an enemy of any president of southern extraction. Obasanjo did not know peace under him. He made himself a tribal project against Jonathan. He fought Tinubu all the way to Chicago and still failed. Atiku is anti-south.

Finally, pairing both of them is not the issue. Let us hear their policy plans.

Anyone who wants to be president should be bold about it and accept it. If he is accused of being desperate, he should own it with his full chest.

Tinubu's run for the job was a mixture of arrogance and humility.

He was the first to declare and did so in an unusual manner. He did not call a rally, he declared right at the heart of power. Then he went about his campaign and negotiation like he truly wanted it. While talking with Ogun APC delegates, he made the Emilokan speech. He dared Buhari too despite hardahip and naira redesign.

That was courage.

He seized control of the party while placating the stubborn ones to steady the ship until he was fully in the saddle.

Look at the other one. He could not wrestle a party from Nyesom Wike that a Wike who was local government chairman while he had already aspired for president 7 years prior muscled him out of PDP. He cannot even steady ADC and withdrew from the scene. Someone whose followers are not in his party threaten that they must give their man the ticket or they'd pull out. How can people pull out of what they never joined?

Those who want to be president must be decisive and courageous. They must show they have the ability to match Tinubu wit for wit, courage for courage, politics for politics.

Sadly, the current crop of opposition leaders are the weakest since 1999.

The separation from leaders and dealers is in their thinking faculties.

If I have money, and I can approach an entity that would give me a loan at low interest to execute a project that can pay off the loan, what would I do? Spend my own money I can use as insurance for future unforseen events or take the loan where I can always have a moratorium or negotiate terms of settlement that both the creditor and myself can benefit from?

A dealer will use up his savings because of immediate gains and populism, while a leader will take the loan. Did Dangote spend his personal funds to build a refinery? From your thinking, he could have liquidated his worth to build a refinery.

That would be the thinking of a trader.

Holding reserves and assets is for future unforseen circumstances. For example, during financial meltdown in 2008, Nigeria was partly insulated because we had strong buffers. One of the reasons, apart from oil inflows, was robust financial reserves, and CBN pumping money into the economy. Because they had the money to do so.

Are you aware that there were forward sales of crude oil by the Buhari administration? Tinubu cannot complain because it was an APC administration. The forward sales mean future oil production had been mortgaged. I think Tinubu has handled the economy responsibly given the challenges.

You can dislike him, but do not detest his efforts towards ensuring the country is a better place for all of us and our children.

The alternative to Tinubu have backtracked and have not come up with the strategy to deal with the challenges.

Next time they ask for savings from subsidy removal, show them where some of it enters. We shore up our reserves instead of using the forex to subsidize an abused dual foreign exchange market.

Under Tinubu, Nigeria is rising, and so shall it rise. May those who never wish this country well but want power continue to agonize about Bangladesh, China, Indonesia and Anambrasia, and also be jumping from APGA to PDP to LP to ADC to confusion and form coalition and run out of the country because they cannot manage the heat from the coalition they set on fire.

While we commend Tinubu for raising the foreign reserves, we want him to engage in massive infrastructural development. We need rural penetration and overhaul of the grid system.

We also heard that police and soldiers extort trucks carrying food items that total taxes paid to security personnel can be up to 700,000 per truck. We'd ask that the administration looks into this and stop the extortionist tendencies. One way to do it is to ensure that security personnel patrol highways and do not set up road blocks to extort drivers.

To be fair, Tinubu has fulfilled some of his campaign promises.

Subsidy is gone.

Forex market has been unified.

Student loan is active.

Tax administration will come into being in 2026.

Lagos-Calabar coastal highway is in progress.

Let anyone who wants his job tell us what they'd do differently. They are low on plans and high on rhetorics.

It should be particularized to specific men. I know some men who'd embrace kpaing than betray their wives. I know some men who see cheating as what defines their status.

I also heard of some women who enjoy the the taste of different men.

Find who works for you and stick with him.

Why would Mele Kyari have such money in accounts controlled by fronts? If he felt it was right, why didn't he warehouse the money in his own accounts?

What was his plan for the money? Buy a refinery? Join coalition?

It could be that the money were gifts from contractors who wanted one form of favour or the other, but as a public official, he ought to have known better. You reject such things.

This is why public service is not for everyone. After piling the money, they have no clue what to do with it. They start buying real estate home and abroad. Things their families cannot inherit.

A good name is always better than silver and gold. To some people, they'd prefer silver and gold because a good name doesn't put food on their table.

What if Atiku is working for Tinubu?

If they bully Atiku to support the other guy whose followers don't want competition but coronation, Atiku would be better off supporting his old friend.

Many of these people never believed in Asue Ighodalo, they just assumed he was their best bet for visibility. I hope Asue has learnt now and would get a formidable, loyal team in future.

As for Ose, take a cue from Mr Fix It, Chief Tony Anenih, a formidable and fanatical loyalist in the PDP. Tony was not associated with any other party from 1999 until he died. If you want to leave the party, at least have a legacy of winning an election or having a high level appointment. Tony made his name through his exploits. Show your own.

Resigning from PDP less than two months after Supreme Court ruled in favour of Okpebolo is not what a Tony Anenih would do.

While Erasmus Mundus is highly competitive, the universities listed are not top universities in Europe and worldwide.

Many people would like to know the quality of those they are voting for. Serious politicians meet and connect with voters. In 2022, Tinubu was going round the country to meet APC delegates, while one dude sat in his house and sent text messsages to canvass for votes. At the end, the man who met delegates won the votes, while the one who sent text messages won by text messages as he got zero response.

In 2022, some people said they no dey give shi shi. Between 2023 and 2025, he has done more acts of giving shi-shi than he ever did in his politcis. Same man said he didn't need manifesto.

My advise to you is do not campaign. People will vote for you nonetheless.

There was live transmission of APC campaigning vigorously for their candidate in Edo State. ADC did light campaigns in Anambra, Kaduna and Ogun.

Elections and social media noise are anti-correlated. ADC and LP performed as if they were fringe parties. This is a pointer that they are not on ground. The weakness of the political weight of the arrowheads had been exposed. They have a lot of work to do.

Sadly, since it was exposed that NNPC GMD ferried funds to the inlaw of the promoter of ADC, the promoter has left the country and had refused to involve himself in ADC matters: a pointer of ineptitude in administrative competence.

ADC failed because their leaders did not prepare.

No, ADC won the election. They appeared on Arise News during campaigns to promise victory.

Where are they now?

Seems Atiku realized the folly of ADC and refused to campaign for their candidates. Even in Adamawa, Atiku was not there.

El Rufai campaigned in Kaduna, ADC and SDP lost. Obi campaigned in Anambra, and APGA took the day.

Gradually, the weightlessness of ADC is becoming obvious.

ADC seems to be losing in the home states of their promoters. Even in Anambra, the Obi factor does not favour them.

All politics is local. ADC has not shown they have the might for grassroots preparation.

Doing coalition is not about announcing it, but actually building bridges, winning people, and being on ground.

Let ADC organize offices in states, wards and LGAs. People cannot vote for something they don't know. Some communities don't have constant electricity and are not on social media. If you don't come to talk to them, they won't know you.

Many don't know why they do it. They sometimes think it would solve their problems.

Marry only when you are mentally ready to be with another person in a committed union.

If there is a petition against David Mark, EFCC must not investigate it and invite Mark for clarifications according to ADC.

Anyone who has a case of misuse of public funds must not be touched so long as he is in the opposition.

ADC, can you see how unserious you are?

When former President Jonathan had Tinubu docked in 2011, a team of lawyers represented him. He sat in the dock for three hours. He was accused of operating foreign accounts while he was governor. Tinubu mined political capital from that incident. Many lawyers and political associates followed him there and the judge adjourned the case. PDP likely realized the futility of their attempt and we didn't hear about the case again.

If any ADC chieftain is invited, let ADC executives, if any, accompany the chieftain. That will intimidate those who they feel might be witch-hunting their chieftains. But no, they would be releasing statements which demonstrate their political unpreparedness. You are competing with Tinubu and doing it with media. A man who owns a newspaper and major television station, and a strong army of media veterans like Segun Osoba, Bayo Onanuga, Abike Dabiri, Dele Alake, and Sam Omatseye. You don't fight Tinubu with the media, you fight him with actions. Arise News fought Tinubu and their owner even involved himself. When TVC effectively neutralized Arise News and the duo of Dele Alake and Bayo Onanuga tore into the owner of Arise News, they had to eat the humble pie. You fight Tinubu with actions, not media. ADC announced coalition, APC received defectors. What does that tell you? People visit the president and announce defections. Who and who is Atiku meeting? Who is ADC courting?

ADC, why have you not organized a national rally to do a show of force?

This could be true as we have seen him claim family ownership of land under litigation. He made two skits and claimed the land belonged to his brother. Unknown brother. Unknown brother who failed to show up in court only for Obi to cry foul after the court awarded ownership to the petitioner.

He also made skits where he could not have explain his plans to tackle the myriad of problems. He is just the climax of the anger of a politically unprepared post #EndSARS protesters.

The court of Ibom Air has convicted the girl as well as the Airline Operators of Nigeria.

Until now, the girl has not said her own side.

What do we have?

1. We saw a video of the girl trying to disembark from the flight after other passengers had gone. The air hostess blocked her.

2. We saw Ibom Air employees take laws into their hands and forcefully ejected her from the aircraft. In the process, her body was exposed.

3. We saw her fighting security men, presumably, after they humiliated her.

4. Ibom Air made a video of her exposed body and leaked it until it got to the internet.

What needs to be established.

1. Why was she detained by the air hostess when she voluntarily wanted to leave?

2. Is it true that the air hostess smashed her phone?

3. Is it also true that when she was asked to turn off her phone, she admitted it was on airplane mode?

4. Why was this particular passenger picked on?

5. Why was she badly humiliated?

6. Other passengers need to speak up and tell us what transpired.

What can be done

1. Ibom Air needs to drop that case and get that girl released. If they don't, they'd suffer reputational damage that may ruin their brand.

2. Ibom Air must compensate her for humiliating her like that. It would help their brand and show they value their customers.

3. I have seen two complaints about that particular air hostess on Ibom Air. The complaints are similar that she is generally rude and disrespectful. Some of these older air hostesses feel too big to be seen to stoop to young passengers, especially young girls. The airline needs to train their staff on handling potential unruly passengers. It seems to me the air hostess wanted to score a point.

4. NBA needs to help the girl to claim her rights. Lest, some air hostesses would start provoking passengers to humiliate them.

5. Some people have described the girl as disturbed. During the initial stage of the videos we saw, she was calm. Who started the altercation?
