As far as I know, people here do not spread such false news about acquisitions; it a serious thing that impacts stocks prices. That's not false news. It's clearly a joke. Warner Bros market capitalisation is about US$67 billion. Who dash monkey banana? No one should take that seriously. |

Some people say I should move the earnings from investment to stash then transfer from stash to account, but the truth is that no where on the Cowrywise app am using that allows me to do that.
Pls house, how can I solve this problem? I want to withdraw my earnings from my stock investments from Cowrywise. If you sold stocks on Cowrywise, they are going to automatically send your proceeds to your bank account after T+1. |

ositadima1: There is no "other side" in the Strait of Hormuz. The waterway lies between the coasts of Iran and Oman. It is not an open sea; at its narrowest point, it is only about 12 km wide, if I remember correctly. The U.S., which is thousands of kilometers away, has no right to dictate what happens there.
In the same way, the U.S. dictates what enters Cuba by sea. Why is it considered acceptable for the U.S. to control what passes through waters near Cuba? Do you know that Cuba has been under a U.S. blockade, yet you never come here to complain about it? Why?
Dey play. In other words, Iran should be allowed to hold the world to ransom? A regional power ni. If not for Trump taking pity on them, they would have been reduced to rubble. |

Elui2: Pls why is stanbic( both bluenest and the app) telling me I have insufficient funds when I try to withdraw again after successfully withdrawing 5M.
They keep telling insufficient balance while I have enough money in there. Did you wait till the following day to initiate another withdrawal? Daily withdrawal limit is 5M. And you also need to keep some change in there to keep the account active. Either 2k or 5k. I'm not sure about the exact amount. |

investmentvirus: Hi my Investment Gees........
Any Advise. Whats the best paying Money Mutual Fund we have in Nigeria currently with the best interest.
With 19%, 20%, 21%, 22% and above.
Waiting for suggestions Try Trustbanc or STL for 19 to 20 percent. You may sometimes get 21 percent. In terms of service quality, First Ally seems to be the best, and their rate fluctuates between 17% and 18%. Credit your account and your money reflects immediately. Redeem and you get your money immediately. Make sure any MMF manager you are using is SEC registered. NB: Any information you need is available online for free. |

investmentvirus: Since there has been losses, why cant the Fund Managers (for equity) sell the shares they bought earlier so as to preserve our capital/profits.
Cos it is so foolish for them not to.
I smell a foul play here. (stealing our funds) claiming its the stock market.
They intentionally keep withdrawing our funds, and claim they registered losses.
They claim to be professional fund managers with many years of experience. Will i call them foolish or fraudsters? That is why it is important to learn how to trade stocks profitably yourself. That way, you put your financial future in your own hands. If you master the skill and invest only when you are skilled and confident enough, you will most likely earn higher returns than many equity fund managers can deliver each year. Also, you will not have to doubt or suspect anyone. |

EquityM: I bought Seplat around 5300; I was impatient and sold it for 5700. Within six months, the price is now 9000+. Withn that same period, someone else bought another stock and is now crying? Should a retiree without time on her side be crying? |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 9:43pm On Mar 27 |
welzyj2: Neither is mmf.
If 5m is all you have as a retiree your best bet is split into 2 and use half for a petty side business you can withstand the stress. I never said mmf is her best bet, but stocks are definitely not for her. |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 9:38pm On Mar 27 |
welzyj2: Simply reconstruct as stock trading is not advisable for an individual who cant allow his/her funds stand the test of time.
Imagine an 80 year old granny bought Seplat/PresCo or other NGX 30 1/2 years ago and willed it to her son/grandchild b4 passing on this year. Will you still say not advisable for retirees??
Wanting something to live on by investing your 5m in mmf and soley feeding off the interest is also not possible in today's economy let's be realistic If you read the person's post again, her goal is not to will anything to anyone. She wants something she can survive on and stocks are not ideal for that at her age. Of course, return from mmf is small, but If she can't survive with about 18k from mmf per week, will she survive if she buys stocks and the price falls? |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 9:34pm On Mar 27 |
EquityM: I think she has MMF, and her main priority is growth. Once the dividend starts coming, she will be fine. Diving into stocks, she has to understand it is not a quick money scheme. She has mmf which will be withdrawn and invested into stocks, right? She will be fine, after how long? Someone that doesn't work again? |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 9:04pm On Mar 27 |
EquityM: I do agree; however, some stocks have been doing well in the long run. If she goes with "grade A" stocks, she would be fine and also get dividends on the side while waiting for capital growth. Last year I basically saw Zenith and GTCO around 75naira and 90naira, Currently, their prices have gone up, except there is a pullback or financial turmoil; I still bet on these stocks to do well. Lastly, this is an MMF thread; it is better she seeks advice on the stocks thread. @ the bolded; For how long should a retiree wait before she eats? And how would she survive if there's a pullback or financial turmoil? |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 8:41pm On Mar 27 |
EquityM: Lol, the Nigerian pension fund currently has a stock portfolio in NGX. Stocks are not brutal if you choose the right one, NIDF is a great option for her. Well, any stock can lose value, and for a long period of time. |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 8:23pm On Mar 27 |
welzyj2: Not brutal. The goal is to be ready for the long haul if you not an active trader
My ROI Feb till date despite not trading and flipping actively There's a difference between “stocks can be brutal” and “stocks are brutal.” I said stocks can be brutal, and I stand by that. Can stocks be brutal? The answer is a definite yes. Your paper gains today could turn into losses next week. I don’t have to explain what is called a stock market crash. Something can happen today, and your stocks could start crashing uncontrollably almost immediately. For instance, Oando traded at 67 naira in June last year. The price fell and, up till now, it has not recovered. Now, is that something good for a retiree who must rely on their investments to survive? This same Oando once traded at 89 naira, and today it’s trading at 48 naira. Imagine if a retiree’s money had been used to buy such a stock at 89 naira. What would she have been surviving on for over a year? I trade stocks too, but it’s not advisable for a retiree who is looking for something stable to live on.

Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 4:37pm On Mar 27 |
welzyj2: Funny enough if you select 1 or 2 stocks you can get that 2m in a day or loose it😊 The highest return any stock can give in a day is 10 percent. 10 percent of 5m is 500k and you can't even make 500k in a day when you consider charges. A retiree needs regular income for survial but stocks cannot guarantee that. You can buy today and start losing immediately. Let's not say anything that will tempt him to invest a retiree's money into stocks. Even experienced and professional stocks traders can lose big. |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by emmaBS(m): 4:28pm On Mar 27 |
EquityM: Don't try equity; rather, buy some high-paying dividend stocks. Equity is not for old people ooooooooooooooooooooo. Stocks can be brutal. It's a no go area for a retiree' s fund. |

AncestralPowers: Please don't get discouraged investing the little money you have, just because someone is mentioning huge sum he/she had invested or withdrew.
Some of us here are over 50yrs of age, we have worked our entire life, and we also have a huge number of abroadians here, who earn in foreign currencies and invest in Nigeria directly, and many abroadians had been doing that for decades, and you cannot compare yourself with such people.
However, I would advise those of us with millions/billions in investments to avoid calling numbers, so that those of us with peanuts won't get discouraged to invest the little we have...
Investment is a matter of slow and steady process, and time is your biggest advantage. Rather, number calling by people with huge investments inspires motivation, not discouragement. |

But Messi reaction against one of super Eagles players when they were going out for first half break. His reaction made me understand that he's really a racist.
He pushed away the player's hand in pride, when the player tried to share fair play with him. You no dey forget something. Reason I dislike Messi till date. |

Fiverr can do whatever they like on the account.
I just need my peace of mind. You can check to see how many orders you have completed between June 14/15 till date. With only one canceled order, you need 9 completed orders between June 14/15 and August 14/15 for your order completion rate to get back to 90% before the next evaluation. Even if you are not able to raise it to 90% before August 15 and you get demoted again, the order completion rate will automatically go back to 100% before September 15 as long as you don't cancel any other order. You don't have much to worry about, bro. |
