The first thing I noticed on your blog was the big header of your blog. It really scared the hell out of me (it covered half of my laptop screen). Please adjust the height and width.

Third, most of your blog posts are copied from nairaland and other sites. Write unique, valuable and original content on your blog, If you can't do this you're probably wasting your time. Your blog won't take you anywhere.

Fourth, your about page looks boring and very formal. When writing for a web audience you have to be as friendly and personal as possible. Tell people who you are and what you intend to teach on my blog: share a unique story! Also, put a picture of yourself on your about page. This shows are you're a real human and not a robot. Visit the about page page of my blog to get an idea on how to do this.

Fifth, your sharing buttons have all the whole social media (up to 9). I advice you reduce the amount to 5. Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn,email and google + is okay.

Sixth, remove the sharing buttons on your contact page. Also, add multiple ways readers can contact you: email, phone number ... not everyone (even me) love filling a contact form.

1. You placed a pop up for your facebook page but the url is invalid. Quickly fix that ASAP. As a matter of fact, I don't think you even need it as it distracts and obstructs readers from reading your content especially on mobile. Since you have your facebook page: Health secrets is on the sidebar that should suffice. Anyone can simply like your page fro your sidebar.

2. I love your content, well researched. But there's just one reason you're struggling to get traffic to your blog: you're running a free blog on blogger. It'll hardly take you anywhere. Move your blog to the self-hosted version of Wordpress. That's the best blogging platform at the moment.

3. The engagement level of your blog is pretty poor compared to the amazing content you have. So, what you can do for now is to: promote your blog posts on facebook groups and other social media platforms, leave insightful comments on related blogs, put "call to actions" at the end of your blog posts, write guest posts on other health blogs and more importantly do extensive keyword research and optimize your blog posts for what people are searching for. You'll start attracting traffic from search engines

4. You cover a wide range of topics on your blog: from health news, romance, sex, disease, hygiene etc. That's too braod as it doesn't really spell out the focus of your blog. So, take your time and decide who you want to cater for: a global audience or Nigerian?

5. Most of your blog posts are not formatted properly: make sure you justify your post, leave a lot of white space (don't just "jampack" every word together). Do this by leaving a paragraph after a sentence or two sentence, that's how to write for a web audience.

It depends on the kind of website they need. First understand what the project is all about before making your choices.

Godaddy is ok, though I've never used them before. I use Siteground for my blog, any of their plan will suffice for your project.

The template of your new blog looks nice, you chose a very nice theme.

Also, your blog posts reads fine to me. Just make them a little detailed with useful illustrations and images. Aim 1000 words per post.

Add an about page, contact page and privacy policy page to your blog. It's very important.

As for registering your site to search engines, you don't need it as that doesn't guarantee you'll get traffic from search engines. According to Google, once you register a domain name or create a blog, they know.

So, don't bother yourself with that. Instead, implement this tips:

1. Leave comment on blogs that're related to your niche.
2. Promote your posts on facebook and other social media platforms.
3.Write guest posts on other blogs in your blog.

These tips will help your blog get indexed in search engines fast.

Lastly, move your blog to the self hosted version of wordpress. Your free blog will not take you anywhere as the monetization restriction is just too humane. I'm serious!

The layout of your blog looks nice but I have some recommendations you need to work on:

1. You don't have an about page on your blog, most readers will love to know the person behind a blog. So, create one.

2. Remove the sharing buttons on your contact page. Also, give readers many options (like phone no, email) to contact you. Not everyone loves filling a contact form. Visit my contact page for an idea.

3.I got numerous "Gateway Timeout" message while visiting your blog. Your web host is terrible, if you ask me. I advice you move to a more reliable web host. I recommend Siteground. 4. The author's name for your posts is Admin. Please change that, use your name. I hope you're not using "Admin" has your backend username?

5. You're in the health niche which is very competitive and will definitely crunch you no matter how had you try. So, I advice you to change the focus of your blog to one that caters for a Nigerian audience which is less competitive.

That's the fact! Google has zero tolerance for duplicate content and penalizes sites that practice this.

My blog is www.youmustgethealthy.com. It's a good health blog, I'm proud of it. I just want to get better and go ahead. So please take a look at it and tell me where I need to improve on.

Your blog looks okay to me but I must tell you this:

1. You're in a super-competitive niche that'll make it very hard, if not impossible, to gain traction. "Bigwigs" like about about.com, WebMD, MayoClinic, Health.com ... will never let you see the light of day. Even renowned SEO experts like Brian Dean couldn't make it in this niche, let alone you.

So, I advice you to either find a less competitive niche like natural weight loss remedies or target weight loss in Nigeria for your blog instead of going global.

2. Most of your blog posts are very short. These kind of post offer no help to readers. So, write well detailed post on each topic with stellar illustrations and explanations. This kind of posts ranks well in search engines and attract traffic from long tail keywords.

3. Do extensive keyword research and optimize your posts creatively for your target keywords.

4. On your about page, you use the word: "we", when you're a solo blogger. Please change it and tell readers who you're and how you can help them. You don't need to claim what you're not. Also, put a picture of yourself there.

5. Start promoting affiliate products with your affiliate link ASAP, there's no time to waste.

Good evening guys. I have low traffic to my blog and I was wondering how I could improve traffic when guest blogging popped into my mind.

I searched Google and saw that most posts on guest blogging was from sites owned by white people or posts dated as back as 2010

I however asked myself, even if I read news or articles on Nairaland front page, do I click the link to the source? My answer was No. I have never for once done it.

My question here is, since from my perspective, guest blogging isn't that successful in driving traffic to a blog, why do bloggers recommend it? And do they help in SEO ranking too?

Guest blogging is a good way to promote your blog especially if its new and not well none. I once did a guest post for a blog related to my niche and it brought a lot of traffic, leads and new eye balls to my blog for weeks. It just a matter of doing it the right way. Most Nigerians see it as a waste of time or don't know the benefits. The likes of Danny Inny, Sarah Peterson, Jon morrow ... all grew their blog with guestblogging.

Guestblogging is the way to go if you want to attract backlinks, traffic and good ranking in search engines. So, if you ask me: Guestblogging works

Here's what I discovered and recommend after checking your blog:

1. Most of your blog posts are copied from other sites. to really make money from your blog or attract traffic, especially from serach engines, you must write unique content on your blog. copying and pasting will not take you anywhere. even if you source articles from other sites, write a unique version on your blog.

2. the template you use on your blog has a terrible layout and it's not responsive, especially when the web version is viewed. change that template with one that's responsive and has the right side-bar layout.

3.Create a facebook page or group for your blog and post daily job vacancy and [b]practical [/b]job search tips with a link to your blog. your traffic stats will increase.

4.Your about page needs some update as you used the . url to address your readers. Also, you used the term: "our" to state your objectives, mission and vision. Are you a team? If not, as I suspect, change it stating who you're and how you can help readers get their dream jobs.

People love to deal with a real person, so put a picture of yourself or team (as the case maybe) there. You can visit my about page to see how I structured mine, to give an idea.

5. Lastly, move your blog to the self-hosted version of Wordpress. Blogger has a lot of downsides that'll hider your success.

You have lots of copied content on your blog from the likes of bellanaija, yourmotivationguru.com etc. If you can't write original content on your blog, just forget about blogging entirely.

Google has zero tolerance for duplicate content and penalizes blogs that are found wanting. You'll find it hard to get approval for Google adsense with this approach.

Again, your blog posts are very short. The longest post I can see is less than 400 words; this kind of post offers no help to readers. The shortest post on my blog is over 1,000 words and my most popular post is over 3,000 words and ranks well in SERPs.

Most "experts" will advice you to write short post for scanners and fast reading. But, I've found that advice to be very wrong. Readers fall in love with blogs that provide helpful, well-detailed and in-dept posts. Even search engines too ranks these kind of post for long tail keywords.

You're running a free blog on blogger which will deter all your efforts and most likely delay your success. Move your blog to the self-hosted version of Wordpress.

When you've implemented these tips I've mentioned above, you can now start to talk about getting adsense approval.
