MANY of placard-carrying protesters are currently in front of an Abuja court, on Thursday, to declare support for embattled Sen. Dino Melaye.

Sen. Melaye is being charged for allegedly providing false information of an assassination attempt.

Notable among the senators in court for their colleague’s trial was Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce.

Information reaching us at REPORTNAIJA has it that a pipeline explosion just occurred in the Iyana – Odo axis of Lasu- Isheri expressway.

It was gathered that the incident occurred about forty minutes ago with residents and motorists scampering for safety.

Presently, REPORTNAIJA cannot independently verify the cause of the incident.

According to grassroots radio, Radio One FM, some vandals were reported to have been spotted around the exploded pipeline days ago.

The radio platform also tweeted that the exploded pipeline leads to Ayobo community in the Ipaja end of Lagos Mainland.

Meanwhile, the incident has led to different internet users expressing their fears across their various social media platforms.

Rescue officers are urged to rush to the scene to help prevent loss of lives and damage to properties.

Three Nigerians have featured in Forbes 23 African Billionaires List.. Sitting atop the list, for the 7th year in a row, is industrialist, Aliko Dangote with $12.2 Billion.

Two other Nigerians are also on the list, they include, Glo owner, Mike Adenuga with $5.3 Billion, and oil magnate Folorunsho Alakija with $1.6 Billion.

3 Nigerians feature in Forbes’ 23 African Billionaires list, Dangote retaining the throne for the 7th year in a row with $12.2 billion.

The only other woman on the list is Angola’s Isabel dos Santos with $2.7 billion, down from $3.2 billion a year ago.

8 South Africans feature on the list, the highest for any African country, diamond mining heir Nicky Oppenheimer with $7.7 billion being the richest of the lot.

President Muhammadu Buhari has withheld his assent on the Peace Corps of Nigeria establishment bill recently passed by the National Assembly.

His rejection of the bill was contained in a communication to the legislature today (Tuesday).

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, has just read the letter to members in plenary.

Buhari says the organisation is a duplication of existing security agencies.
