GIS Verification exercise in Abia State tomorrow....now wey school don close, they want us to come back from our holidays instead of wait make school resume month end. Anyway as I learn from una, I am going there tomorrow morning with my I'd card, ssce,degree and nysc cert for verification as my employer informed us just now. I don't want story for this little stipend way I want use start up as an entrepreneur and become and employer on this GIS after my graduation. If u are in Abia get ready for ur verfication tomorrow or maybe this week o! To avoid one chance for alawi!

Sharp tongue will always attack you on ur kind of reasoning. Everyone here can and has been doing what u term ur handiwork. However, its a programme that is meant to give us mentor and stipend for a year as contract. Even if our work is terminated our pay of worked months are our entitlements. If u are also OK with ur handiwork of course u shouldn't be here....it means u need this barlary as well. Nigeria jams radio Biafra signals


National Broadcasting Commission, NBC has successfully jammed signals from Radio Biafra, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Dr. Shade Yemi-Esan has said.

This is as President Mohammadu Buhari has ordered the reopening of federal information centers abroad to boost the Nigeria’s image abroad.

The president also frowned at the conditions of Journalists and other media practitioners whose salaries are being delayed or outrightly not paid.

The development was the outcome of a meeting between officials of the Ministry of Information and president Buhari who took briefing from them on the activities of the ministry.

According to Esan who briefed Journalists after the the meeting, president Buhari also directed that producers of Nollywood movies should be made to have uninhibited access to what is due to them to ease their work, charging the Ministry to reduce the menace of piracy.

She said “The Federal Ministry of Information went to tell Mr President what we have been doing. The major activities in the ministry which are geared towards publicity of government programmes and how we get the feed back from Nigerians which influences policy decisions.

“We also talked to him about the nine parastatal that are under the ministry, the work they are doing and some of the challenges they face.

“We are happy with the response we got and the concerns of Mr President on the work we are doing, especially the publicity aspect. He wants us to intensify publicity because he wants every Nigerian to know about the policies and programmes of this government.

“He also raised concerns about piracy in Nollywood and he has instructed us to work harder to ensure that the producers of Nollywood films get what is due to them and that we reduce piracy to the barest minimum.

On Radio Biafra, she said “We also have a report on that. Right now the signals from radio Biafra have been jammed successfully by the NBC.

The commission is also working with security agencies to get those that are behind that radio because it is an illegal radio. It is not licensed by anybody to be on the airwave in Nigeria.

I called the office concerning my training and they collected all my details saying that an appropriate unit will investigate and look into it. And as regard to the stipend that its on process....try also and call because Igbo people says ''igwebuike'' and agbakoo aka nyuo mamiri ogbaa ufufu.thanks.

Are you sure the account number you entered at the training was correct? You ought to have been paid by now. Call SURE-P and verify.

We have not been paid, we are many although one of us has his account error which has been corrected. But all of us that attended that training has not been paid.....abia state training from 17-19 December 2014...

For those agitating for their outstanding stipends, you are adviced to forward a report via your employer to the GIS. Also outstanding time sheet forms are not always availably available for the employer. Yet your employer is mandated to make to make that complain/request for any of their interns direct to the GIS. You also can do that by sending them email during working days mon-fri BTW 9am-4pm. Goodluck

As for those awaiting training allowance for the training done earlier in the year. Go check your balance, it has been paid, you might not get an alert.
