SportsAlexis Sanchez Given 16-month Prison Sentence For Tax Fraud by Emperoo(op): 4:23pm On Feb 07, 2018
Spanish law states that the 29-year-old will not have to spend any time in jail and he has agreed to pay the money he owes with interest

Alexis Sanchez has accepted a 16-month prison sentence for committing tax fraud during his time at Barcelona, although he will not spend time in jail.

The Manchester United forward was accused of defrauding the treasury of €1 million between 2012 and 2013, relating to income from his image rights.

Sanchez has, however, reached an agreement with the prosecutor to pay the money he owes with interest.

Despite the verdict, the Chilean will not spend time in prison as he is a first offender and the sentence is less than two years - which crucially, in Spanish law, prohibits jail time.

The ex-Arsenal star is the latest football figure to be punished by Spanish prosecutors for an apparent dodging of taxes.

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Mourinho and Ricardo Carvalho have all been pursued by the authorities recently.

Barcelona star Messi was handed a 21-month jail term in 2016, but managed to exchange it for a €250,000 fine last year, while Mourinho paid to settle his and Carvalho was given a fine and a seven-month sentence.

Real Madrid forward Ronaldo, meanwhile, was accused of owing €14.7m but has protested his innocence in an ongoing case.

Alexis joined Barcelona from Udinese in 2011 and spent three years with the Catalan side, winning a Liga title as well as the Club World Cup under the guidance of Pep Guardiola.

He left to join Arsenal in 2014 and starred for Arsene Wenger's team until making the shock move to Old Trafford in January in a swap deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, despite it having appeared he would be joining Manchester City.

The 29-year-old has made three appearances for Mourinho's side so far, scoring his first goal for his new club in Saturday's 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

The Red Devils are currently 13 points behind leaders City after 26 matches and return to action on Sunday when they visit Newcastle United.

RomanceEx-girlfriend Always Accuse Him Of Cheating, Even Without Catching Him - Fb User by Emperoo(op): 11:21am On Jan 27, 2018
Comrade Nnadi Goodluck took to his facebook page to rant about a girl he once met, who will always accuse him of cheating even without catching him.

Here is what he posted on his timeline.

"One of my ex-girlfriends was very furious and startled after some months of our relationship, she has never seen or caught me cheating on her, but will always assume and accuse me of cheating without prior evidence, proof or attestation.

In her words, 'you're probably cheating on me and being overly smart and hiding it judiciously. One day, I will apparently catch you the same way that you always catch me whenever I cheat on you'.

I've told her innumerable times that I'm not really the cheating type, I further revealed to her that throughout my past relationships, I've never being unfaithful.

I'd even asked her, 'how can someone that is not having sex in a relationship cheat on you'. She'd strongly affirmed that the only reason I am not having sex with her, is because, I've another person somewhere that I'm having sex with. I'd got tired immediately.

Babe will always call me a liar, whenever I'd remind her that I can never cheat on her no matter what.

She told me that everyone cheats, just that I'd always chop and clean mouth, that I'm too smart for her. I was very surprised, how on earth will she think that everyone cheats.

Because of her chronic insecurity and worrisome low self-esteem, I'd gave her my facebook password, always allowing her to read my WhatsApp messages and phone messages, even letting her go through all my contacts, still, she was never satisfied.

I was very unhappy with the relationship and how she never believe me whenever I tell her that I don't cheat.

I was even expecting her to give praises to God for blessing her with a sincere partner, rather, she was always wanting to find fault, where there isn't fault.

This is an ex-girlfriend that later said she can never trust me no matter what I say or do.

Long story cut short, I'd ran for my life, before someone stabs me.

© Comrade Nnadi Goodluck."

PoliticsBuhari's Sack Of Maina An Afterthought – Fayose by Emperoo(op): 10:36pm On Oct 23, 2017
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has said the President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive for the immediate disengagement of former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Mr Abdullahi Maina, is an afterthought.

He said the President only acted to save his face from the global embarrassment caused him by the outcry of Nigerians on the news of Maina’s reinstatement.

The governor demanded immediate arrest and trial of Maina as well as the dismissal of all those who perpetrated his reinstatement, which he described as fraudulent and shameful.

Fayose in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, likened Buhari’s anti-corruption fight to a situation where “Satan is calling Judas Iscariot a sinner.”

He said he had been vindicated because he warned Nigerians before now that the kind of corruption that would be witnessed in Buhari’s government would be unprecedented.

“If Maina, who was declared wanted for corrupt practices by the International Police Organisation, after he was dismissed from office by the Civil Service Commission in 2013 for allegedly committing N2.1bn pension fraud while in office, could be secretly reinstated and even promoted without writing the required civil service promotion examination, no one should be in doubt any longer that Buhari is not fighting any corruption.

“Even the former Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, who was accused of corruption by the Senate, removed from office unceremoniously and declared wanted is now the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, Lagos.

“When the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Ibe Kachikwu raised allegation of award of $25bn contracts without following due process against the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru, the Presidency was the one that defended him (Baru).

“Also, President Buhari has refused to act on the report of the committee that investigated the $43m discovered in an apartment at Osbourne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, despite that Nigerians have been asking him to act on it.

“Even the Acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu was indicted of corruption by the Department of State Service and all that was done by President Buhari was to ask the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), to investigate the DSS report. Up till today, nothing has been heard about it and Magu, despite his rejection by the Senate, is still acting as the EFCC chairman.

“It was also under this government of Buhari that Ahmed Gambo Saleh; the Supreme Court Registrar was indicted and put on trial for alleged over N2bn fraud. The case against Gambo Saleh was withdrawn almost immediately, and he has been appointed the Secretary of the National Judicial Council. Not only that, he was made the Secretary of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee, headed by Retired Justice Isa Ayo Salami.”

CelebritiesYul Edochie And Emeka Okonkwo Visit Dunukofia For Campaign Homecoming by Emperoo(op): 9:27am On Oct 16, 2017
Popular Nigerian Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie's has visited Dunukofia, Anambra for a Homecoming campaign, alongside his deputy, Emeka Okonkwo.

The spokesman (Comrade Nnadi Goodluck) of his political party has released a statement on his official Facebook page.

DPC Govornorship candidate, Yul Edochie and his deputy, Emeka Okonkwo were received in Umunachi in Dunukofia Local Government on the 14th of October, 2017 in a Home coming rally organised by Anambra Young Professionals and Gaaniru Anambra in honour of their member, Emeka Okonkwo.

The event was graced by various Umunachi Women's Union, Umunachi Town Union and various Youth Organisation in Dunukofia LGA.

The State Chairman of Democratic Peoples Congress Hon. Ezeagu Israel who declared the event open, said that it was time for the older generation to give way to young vibrant leadership. He noted that many Nigerian leaders today made their most significant impact in their youth. He said "Anambra people are tired of recycling the same people in government. Older people may not understand the challenges of the youth. The unemployment rate in Anambra is alarming and it is only a Youth who understands and who feels the pain of his fellow youth will understand".

Ike Odionu Esq, the President General of Umunachi Town Union who received Emeka Okonkwo in his country home also thanked Emeka for having the courage to represent the people. He acknowledged how tough the race to the government house is, but noted that such a decision is right.

Emeka Okonkwo spoke about the erosion challenges suffered by his Constituency, Dunukofia LGA and promised them that his administration will ensure that his administration will tackle the erosion problem in Dunukofia. Emeka said "The lack of independence of local governments in their administration has hindered grass root development. A situation where you have transition chairmen instead of Elected Chairman means that the state government dictates their affairs and this is not right". He also noted "we must encourage local government autonomy, the state government may not be conversant with every little or big challenge faced by various communities but the Local Government can identify and solve these issues without the State government knowing if the state Government encourage Local Government autonomy" Emeka said that more girls have enrolled in to school than boys, and blamed this on lack of Technical Colleges in the State which will assist young men who feel uncomfortable with conventional education to be solution driven without missing out in having formal education.

Emeka Condemned the uncountable road blocks in Anambra state and blamed it on the rate of unemployment. He said " when people have no jobs the propensity for crime will be high, the duty of the Government is to fix the problem of the people. These Road blocks are causing painful and embarrassing traffics, coupled with the fact that the Enugwu - Onitsha express way between Nkwelle and Awkuzu; and Amawbia is terrible, therefor these big trucks now use the old awka road. This becomes heartbreaking when all the vehicles passing through Anambra are using on road and you still police road blocks there, how do you think people will feel when they spend more than 3 hours for 45 muintes journey. We need to fix this".

Yul Edochie also spoke against the manner in which past governments have treated the youths. He noted that the population of Anambra youths are more than that of the older generation and therefore with such strength a youth can win an election. He encouraged with Umunachi People to support Democratic Peoples Congress and to resist any plan to mortgage their future.

Chijioke Ifediora the state legal Adviser
mandated every member of the Party in the Local government to take their destiny in their hands and ensure that their votes are not compromised. He also said that the legal machinery-post elections has been assembled and that whatever the outcome is that DPC is ready to follow due process.

The Umunachi Women and Youth Leader appreciated Emeka for bringing his first official campaign since his emergency as the Running mate of Edochie. They said that such act shows humility and value for your people. The people of Umunachi promised to deliver Dunukofia to Democratic Peoples Congress.

Emeka Okonkwo's Speech

*Speech Delivered by Emeka Okonkwo at Umunachi Central School, Dunukofia on the 14th of October, 2017.*

DPC ....Moving forward with the people (×3)

I want to recognize some people here before I begin.

My friend and the Governorship Candidate of our party, Yul Edochie!

My State Chairman the action man, Honorable Israel Ezeagu.

The State Executive members of Democratic Peoples Congress.

The Local Government Executives of Democratic Peoples Congress Dunukofia.

The President general of Umunachi town union Barrister Ike Odionu

Umunachi Women, Umunachi Youths, ifitedunu, Ukpo, Ukwulu, Nnaogu, Umudioka (Women and Youths) and all the groups and societies here I greet you all. (×6)

I am delighted to be here today. This is the will of God and that of man. I want to give God glory for the privilege and opportunity to serve Ndi Anambra. Nothing happens without God's permission.

I want to officially tell you all that the people of Anambra through our Party Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC) choose me to serve Ndi Anambra as the Deputy Governor of Anambra State.

There are things in Anambra that breaks my heart. The rate of unemployed youths in Anambra. There is a report that more girls are enrolled into school than boys. The crime rate has increased among youths. This is not meant to be umunne m. We must make Anambra Great again.

I want to remind every youth here that, your youthful age is the most potent part of your life. I want to remind you that All Anambra legends made their impact and served there people from their youth. The likes of Senator Chuba Okadigbo ( Oyi of Oyi & the former Senate President) Dora Akunyili, Alex Ekwueme, Nnamdi Azikwe, Emeka Anyako, Chinua Achebe and Chimanda Adichie. Anambra nwelu mmadu.

It is time to start a revolution of young people in governance but we all have to do the following to succeed;
* we have to be prepared as youths.
* we have to support a fellow youth.
*we have to protect our votes.

As I mentioned earlier the challenges facing us, I wish to say here that if given the opportunity by November 18 2017 there will be a transformation in our environment especially the people of Dunukofia.

Ndi Nnaogu do not have accessible roads to their town.
Ukpo Akpu is already been overtaken by erosion.
Ifitedunu general hospital do not have the required facilities.
Dunukofia does not have a technical college or secondary school for people who belive that the conventional education may not be helpful and that their skill needs to be improved.
Our markets needs to be rebuilt.
Dunukofia can be the next Nnewi if we have good leadership.
We need to fix the problem that pulled our children's WAEC backwards.
We need to implement teachers welfare. If we make teachers comfortable results will improve. Teachers are the most important people after God. In fact God is a teacher.

We need to amend our educational curriculum to include a course called Anambra or Gaaniru this will be a course that will build in every child the patriotic spirit about his local community not Nigeria. A course that will assign you the duty to brain storm on how to make your town a mega city. It is possible. If children begin now to think about their town or community, people will stop leaving Anambra to Lagos to Abuja.

We have to invest in Anambra. Let us be mindful of how we invest outside Anambra. Anambra is out home.

One thing I am working on addressing is this police check points everywhere in Anambra. We appreciate the work of the police. And I want to say that the police has sacrificed night and day to ensure that we have good night rest. But some of them have not entirely been keeping to the laws of the land. Some of the police check points have been used as an instrument of encroaching on people's right. Ndi Anambra I urge you to stand up for your rights, fight for it. This race to make Anambra great is a collective effort.

I want to thank the People of Umunachi, My Honorable President General Ike Odionu Esq, The Dunukofia Party Chiarman Honorable Engr. Gabriel Ifedigbo, the woman leader of Dunukofia Mrs Georgina Omaja.

The Vice Chairman Anambra Central Joachim Maduka (Orgazi), The chairman of this Homecoming Honorable Michael Ogoo Ugbaja ( The Local Government Party Chairman of Onitsha South), Then State Legal Adviser Chijioke Ifediora, My State Chairman Honorable Israel Ezeagu

I want to thank you all for making this homecoming a successful one.

GOD BLESS UMUNACHI!
GOD BLESS DUNUKOFIA!
GOD BLESS ANAMBRA!

Crime23-Year-Old Maid Attacks Her Madam With Bottle After Stealing Umbilical Cord by Emperoo(op): 11:26am On Sep 10, 2017
According to a facebook user, Nneka Obani, who shared the shocking story on her timeline.

She claimed that her 23 year old maid tried to kill her and her children after she found out she was stealing from her.

Read her story below

"People are always quick to talk about wicked madams but they totally ignore the fact that there are many maids from hell.

One month ago I contacted an agency that gives out maid to give me a maid and this 23yrs old girl was brought to my house.

Three days ago, I was going overhauling the guest room when I got the shock of my life, this girl has been systematically stealing from me. I saw alot stuffs she took which includes; My clothes(she amended the waist of my jeans and cut the length, then she amended the tops)
My children's clothes
Pampers
My children's drinks
My make ups
My creams
Eggs
Spices
My children's umbilical cord
Some bottles of wine etc

I was in shock and I confronted her, she started pleading that it was the devil but I was no longer comfortable because this was the girl I entrusted the care of my children to when I wasn't around. So I called the agent that brought and told him to come. He couldn't make it that day so he came around 7pm last night, we talked and he was also in shock, he pleaded with me to manage with her for two to three days that he would get me another maid, I agreed and he left. I locked my door and came inside that was when this maid started to rain abuses on me, that why did I contact her agency even after she said she was sorry, I told her from her tone right now she didn't sound so sorry. She was ranting and cursing so I told her to leave my house she said she wasn't going anywhere instead she was running round the house looking for what to pick up. I told her get out or I throw you out she started to threaten me, she said touch me first and see what will happen to you.

So I brought out her bags to the corridors that was when she rushed and attacked me, I locked my children inside and I was in a scuffle with her outside, next thing I knew she rushed to the back and brought out a star bottle and broke it then she rushed at me. Let's just say you don't dare break a bottle for a warri born and brought up, I gave her the beating of her life then handed her over to the vigilante.
Apart from a little injury I got from the bottle she broke I am fine but just tired. I'm still in shock."
