'2018 JAMB MATRICULATION LIST, NYSC ERROR LIST AND THE WAY FORWARD

This issue of Jamb matriculation list is a new issue that has never been there before and it's a real pain in the ass, because graduates are suffering to get it done, so as to see their names in the list.

Some people are required by Jamb to reprint only their Jamb result or admission letter, whilst others are required to reprint both as the case may be.

If you can't find your name in the matriculation list, your application to the NYSC scheme will be declined and you won't be eligible to serve for sure.

Jamb is taking the issue very serious and that's why thousands of graduates are seeing their names in their respective institutions error list.

If you're seeing 'You were Not Offered Admission' or 'You didn't Register For This Exam', whilst checking for your name in the matriculation list, then know that you seriously need to do Jamb regularization before Jamb will recognize you as a bona fide graduate, in most cases, you might have the Jamb result and the Jamb admission letter and you'll be very surprised to see that Jamb didn't recognize your admission as valid.

If the course that you'd did in the university is different from the one showing or if the school that you'd graduated from is different from the one showing when you'd checked, you shouldn't worry about doing Jamb regularization because you'll surely be mobilized, unless you'd want to waste up to 10,000 naira for nothing.

Also note that the Jamb regularization might take much time to complete and you might end up missing this July Batch B.

'NYSC AUTOMATIC REVALIDATION FOR PCMS THAT MISSED CAMP IN 2018 BATCH A

Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) that registered for 2018 batch A mobilization exercise and duly deployed to a particular state, but missed camp for one reason or the other, can now check their respective dashboards as their orientation course has been scheduled for July 2018.

With this notice, you're expected to be checking your respective dashboards from time to time till your new call up letter is finally released for printing.

'REMOBILIZATION FOR NYSC 2018 A

The real truth about NYSC 2018 A Remobilization and Eligibility.

A. Which people are truly eligible for remobilization?

Answer

PCMs that have already registered on the NYSC portal, deployed to a certain state, reported and registered in the orientation camp, but absconded in camp or after camping due to one issue or the other.

Eg. After camping, Precious was posted to Comprehensive grammar school as her PPA and she didn't report to the school, because of one issue or the other and now she wants to return to service, she will now go ahead and Remobilize.

B. How can I go about the remobilization?

Answer

You are to visit the official NYSC portal, click on "Remobilization, 2018 A Ends on 11/06/2018" and proceed.

C. I was mobilized in the previous NYSC batch, I registered but missed the orientation camp because of one issue or the other. Am I eligible for NYSC 2018 A remobilization?

Eg. Amina was deployed to Delta state for her NYSC, but she didn't report to the orientation camp because of one issue or the other.

Answer

No, you're not eligible for remobilization, but, you are eligible for revalidation.

D. How can I go about the revalidation?

Answer

NYSC has not started the revalidation process, but, it will be available by next month when the NYSC portal finally opens for Batch B registration.

PS: This information is not for the leftovers of Batch A 2018 who their orientation camp has been scheduled for July according to their NYSC dashboard.'

'Vital evidence that there will be new and fresh mobilization of Batch B 2018 PCMs by June has emerged.

NYSC has officially announced on their portal that remobilization for Batch A 2018 PCMs has commenced and will end on 11th June 2018.

What is the meaning of remobilization?

Remobilization simply means the process by which corps members who were already registered on the NYSC portal and deployed to a certain state, reported and registered in the orientation camp, but absconded due to one issue or the other will have the opportunity to remobilize.

There has never been remobilization without fresh mobilization, so expect the official NYSC mobilization time-table for 2018 Batch B to be released in the coming days, which will be subjected to the uploading and checking of senate lists or it's equivalents and proper online registration by the PCMs.

PS: NYSC has already directed Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs) to commence internal mobilization of their qualified graduates that are already cleared for service for Batch B 2018 mobilization.

PPS: This information is not for the leftovers of Batch A 2018 who their orientation camp has been scheduled for July according to their NYSC dashboard.

"MISS EVA ICHE AMADI PASSES ON

Kwara state NYSC permanent orientation camp has lost a corp member.

Late Miss Eva Iche Amadi, until her death, graduated from Uniport where she studied petroleum gas engineering.

She is among the corps members deployed to Kwara state for the ongoing Batch A 2018 orientation exercise.

She suffered bone fraction during morning drills four days ago and was rushed to the camp clinic, today, she gave up the ghost.

RIP to this beautiful soul."

FG SET TO INCREASE ALLOWANCE OF CORPS MEMBERS

Sulaiman Kazaure, the Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), says the increase in corps members monthly allowance would be determined by the new national minimum wage ”when it takes effect around September 2018.”

The official said this on Monday while fielding questions from journalists newsmen shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of the 2018 Batch ‘A’ corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Kusalla, Karaye Local Government Area of Kano state.

According to him, “our efforts to ensure that the monthly allowance of the corps members is increased have yielded a very good result following series of discussion with the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige.”

Mr Kazaure added that the N18,800 paid to them is grossly inadequate to cater for their needs during the mandatory one year service to the nation.

The federal government had set-up a committee to look into the upward review of the minimum wage which he said will also determine the increase of the corps members’ allowance.

“We have been assured that when the new minimum wage takes effect, also the corps members allowance will be reviewed upward,” Mr Kazaure assured.

The NYSC DG also disclosed that 82,000 corps members were deployed nationwide for the 2018 Batch ‘A’ orientation course across various states except those with security challenges.

In his remarks, the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, urged the corps members to shun all acts capable of denting the image of the scheme or which would sour their relationship with the camp officials.

“You are to be guided by the sense of duty and discipline at all times, that would undoubtedly lead you to succeed in your entire life,” Mr Ganduje said.

Earlier in his welcome address, the NYSC Coordinator in Kano, Ladan Baba said no fewer than 2,487 corps members were registered in the camp, comprising 1,289 males and 1,198 females.

Mr Baba added that the corps members since the beginning of the three-week orientation had been adapting to the various activities in the camp and have behaved well.

"Since it's official from Vanguard News and NYSC official media handles that NYSC won't be using streams for 2018 mobilisation.

Let's go back to the last time streams wasn't used.

It was in 2014, when it was still Batch A, B and C method.

So, in the absence of streams, another method must be adopted by NYSC, just as in 2014 (Batch A, B, C).

With the above detailed analysis, It clearly shows that NYSC has adopted the old method of having 3 batches in a year (Batch A, B and C) for 2018 mobilisation.

So, another mobilisation is possibly coming up in the middle of June 2018 for Batch B .

The reason why everyone from Batch A 2018 PCMs couldn't all go to camp on Thursday, April 19th 2018, is because of the large population which the NYSC couldn't contain. They instead, agreed to leave some PCMs at home instead of overcrowding the orientation camps.

Please, desist from referring the rest of Batch A PCMs that will be going to camp on July 2018 as stream two, because, there's nothing like stream two this year, even on the official NYSC social media handles, they didn't refer to them as stream two.

So, after the registration of the Batch B 2018 in June, the rest of Batch A 2018 that couldn't make it to camp will join them.

The camp date has been scheduled to hold from Tuesday, 24th July 2018 - Monday, 13th August 2018.

PS: This is just a critical analysis using the former method of mobilisation in the previous years and the current information available to me and not yet official from NYSC, but with the way things are going, it might come out to be true at the end of the day. Please, be properly guided!

PPS: This post is subsequently made to give hope to the graduates that are still yet to be mobilised and are hoping that Batch B orientation course comes up in July 2018 and not necessarily November 2018."

It's official, Vanguard News has confirmed that there will be no streams for 2018 NYSC mobilisation.

In the newspaper, they wrote and I'd quote, 'The PCMs mobilised for the NYSC 2018 service year will not be divided into streams. This is a change from it’s usual strategy of dividing PCMs from one service year into two streams to enable
the scheme adequately cater for the needs of the increasing number of youths mobilised yearly.

Even on the official NYSC handles, they didn't talk about streams as regards to BATCH A mobilisation, even though, some 2018A PCMs will resume their orientation camp on Thursday, April 19th 2018 whilst the rest will resume on July so as to accommodate everyone.

Details on the next batch will be released soonest.
